Sing Praises

Hey everyone!  I am popping in to play in a challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  The theme is Anything Goes.  I like those kind. 😉

I've got two very similar cards to share with you today.  Both began with a song sheet from church.  I die cut a piece, crinkled the paper with my hands, then inked the edges and well, kind of all over.

Papertrey Ink Walk By Faith sentiment; Michael's lion; Spellbinders Large Deckled Rectangles dies; ivory dots

Papertrey Ink Walk By Faith sentiment; Blockhead Paper Arts Feeling Regal crown; gold embossing powder; Spellbinders Large Deckled Rectangles dies; ivory dots

Matthew 7: 24-27 ESV
Build Your House on the Rock
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

In this crazy world, I am building my house upon the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ.  And it seems by the hour there is new craziness we hear about.  I have got to keep my eyes fixed on things above.

Sending you hugs and love,

Be Brave, It Is Well With My Soul, and more

Hi everyone, just popping in with a bunch of cards to share.  It's Thursday April 16, 2020, and I've been in quarantine for one month exactly!  In some ways, it feels longer, and in some ways, not that long.

Last night I helped my husband trim his hair outdoors on the patio.  That was a first.  I've cut my own bangs twice, but that's easy.  It's the highlights in my hair that I will not attempt.  Will have to wait until I'm allowed to see my hairdresser again for her finesse and expertise! 😭
The girls have long straight hair, no bangs.  They can coast for a good long while.  LOL

Had to go to the bank today.  Only the drive-through is open, and only two lanes.  The lines were fairly long, but not too bad.  I went armed with patience. 😀  I felt badly for the two bank tellers, who were trying to do their jobs with masks, gloves, and offering as much good cheer as they could, despite testy customers.  Hopefully, we won't have too much longer to be in quarantine.  Though we did just get notification from our governor that all NJ schools will be closed until mid-May.  So...I'm thinking that senior prom will probably not be happening.  😢

Love Notes to my girls

Happy New Year!  Did you have a nice holiday?  We had good times with family on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year's day, and another Saturday in between.  It goes by too fast, doesn't it?  I'll be leaving my interior Christmas decorations up for a little while, because I like how they look and I can finally actually enjoy them, without being so crazy-busy.  I'll probably take them down little by little, over the next couple of weeks.

Today's post was pretty easy to put together, as I had these photos below saved in draft form in Blogger.  These little tags are love notes I made for each of my daughters a couple of years ago.  I made more tags/notes than are shown here, but did not have the photos ready for this post.  I wrote a short message on the back of each one to encourage and uplift my girls.  I'd quietly leave one per week or so, somewhere in their bedrooms so they'd notice them as they went about their day.  Nothing like finding a little love note when you least expect it! 💖

Hero Arts - Creative Vases July 2017 Monthly Kit (boot, flowers); Flourishes Stamps - Zinnia (sentiment)

Papertrey Ink - Choose Joy (sentiment), Spiral Notebook Page die; Martha Stewart - Hydrangea Punch;

Flourishes Stamps - Strawberries (basket, large strawberries);
Papertrey Ink - Doodlie Do (sentiment), Monthly Moments Journal Card #2 (die)

Anna Griffin - hyacinth stamp; Papertrey Ink - Choose Joy (sentiment), Spiral Notebook Page die

Papertrey Ink Spiral Notebook Page die, Choose Joy sentiment; Blockhead Paper Arts Seashells with Round Frame (starfish, sand dollar); Mark's Finest Papers - Seashells (larger scallop shell); All Night Media (small scallop shell)

Papertrey Ink - Monthly Moments Journal Card #2 (die);
Flourishes Stamps - Zinnias (flowers), Hearts and Flowers (sentiment)

And that's it for me tonight!  Thanks so much for your visit, and God bless you!

Merry Christmas To You

Hello again!  Turns out I had another Christmas post in draft mode, so that makes a second post this weekend quite easy.  As with yesterday's assortment, these cards were made either last year or the year before, but I still wanted to share with you.😀

Here we go:

Christmas card trimmed: Madonna and child; Wilton: doily

Papertrey Ink: Fancy Flakes snowflake die; Avery Elle: Noel-Ellements smaller snowflake die;

The card base color looks yellow, but it's actually a pearly, shiny yellow-gold cardstock from WorldWin.

Stampin' Up!: snowflake patterned paper

Verve: Glad Tidings sentiment; Hero Arts: Winter Scene animals and trees; Papertrey Ink: In The Meadow hill dies

Thank you, thank you, thank you

Hello friends!

I've got three thank you cards to share today.  I tried to keep them simple and to use things I already had stamped and/or cut out, in a scrap box.  Here's what I came up with:

100 Proof Press 'Shell Plate 17' - Blockheads Paper Arts 'Seashells with Rectangle Frame' (large shell) - Verve 'Celebration of Thanks' sentiment

Stampin' Up! grid of pumpkins/sunflower/leaves (set unknown - 'Counting Blessings' maybe?) - Verve 'Celebration of Thanks' sentiment - Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Leaves' die - vintage thread - orange gemstones

Anna Griffin thank you sentiment/frame, and floral flourish - Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow sequins

Thank you for coming by today to take a look at the cards I've made!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead, and God bless you!
