Cộng Cà Phê @ One Utama

 

New Outlet with Food Menu

 

Cộng Cà Phê has just opened its second outlet in One Utama recently, following in pursuit of their successful outlet in NU Sentral. The popular Vietnamese coffee chain has finally opened a bigger outlet where they have added more food menu to their enticing coffee and beverage menu.

Located in the old wing of the mall, Cộng Cà Phê latest outlet is just as attractive as their first outlet. A similar color themed echoed in this outlet as well but this outlet takes on a textile factory while their first takes on a school theme. All Cộng Cà Phê outlets are themed to reflect the childhood memories of its founder, Linh Dung as mentioned by franchise owner Peter Tan.



There are two level dining as well for this outlet. From their retro furniture to groovy wooden tables and chairs converted using refurbished old sewing machine parts to their impressive panel of sewing machines that has withstood the test of time, there’s even a wall of colorful rolls of thread that makes it an Instagramable spot for ardent coffee lovers. Knick knacks and the café’s souvenirs added much charm to the café’s concept of Vietnam’s socialism era.

After its continuing success from the Hello Kitty partnership, Crème De La Crème (CDLC) is taking on another brilliant innovative and delicious collaboration with The Tokyo Restaurant (TTR) at Lot 10. It’s the ultimate pairing dessert of CDLC’s famed ice cream with TTR’s signature burnt cheesecake, unifying the best of two worlds of dessert.



The Tokyo Restaurant’s signature Burnt Cheesecake has garnered a dessert groupie from locals as well as visitors. Located in the prestigious Lot 10, The Toyko Restaurant also serves savory menu but its their dessert that commands the most sales daily.


Akito Sakamoto, General Manager of TTR says, “Our cheesecake has such a discerning following that when it came to deciding a trusted partner whom we can work with to design ice creams of the highest standards inspired by our beloved cheese cake, which our clients would also adore, CDLC is the obvious choice, standing head and shoulders above others in the ice cream world.”

Christmas Light Up @ Dorsett Kuala Lumpur


A Merry Retro Christmas Light up!


Sleigh bell rings in festive cheers as Dorsett Kuala Lumpur presents a striking and colourful Christmas tree this festive season. All decked out in shades of red, orange, green, pink, purple and blue, the Christmas Tree was a sight to behold as the General Manager of Dorsett Kuala Lumpur, Ms. Adele Ang, gave her thank you speech to guests and associates before carrying out the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.


Also present was refugee children from Shalom Education Center that belted out Christmas songs to add to the festive cheers along with band performance DMJ Trio who serenaded guests and media during cocktail hours as well as dinner time.


After the Christmas light up, everyone headed to Checkers Café, the hotel’s all-day-dining restaurant for a delicious festive spread of goodies. The 150 seats café features an extensive spread of international and local monthly themed buffet lunch and dinner along with breakfast as well.


The festive spread is never complete without the glorious bird  of Roasted Tom Turkey. Adding more varieties to the spread, there was also a Roasted NZ Leg of Lamb along with sides, trimmings and gravy.

Ăn Viet Opens Its Fourth Outlet at Paradigm Mall


No stranger to our dining scene, Ăn Viet has just opened its fourth outlet in Paradigm Mall at PJ. Renowned for serving authentic Vietnamese food, Ăn Viet also acts as a platform to minimize global food wastage.




The new outlet is located next to Tesco in the mall. Beautifully design with lots of natural elements incorporated such as wood works and greens, the dining space is spacious and comfortable. The menu is the same as other outlets but has been updated recently to include some new dishes.



At this outlet, the same concept of diners picking fresh basil from pots of basil applies. There is also a corner where diners can help themselves to the fresh condiments and vegetables to be added to some of the dishes like pho. Diners will also wash their freshly picked basil leaves here with the water and bowls provided.

Chef Bryan Teh SIAL Award-Winning Creations


Dorsett Grand Subang is rejoicing for the 2nd consecutive year as Executive Chinese Chef Bryan Teh and his culinary team has emerged as winners again for this year at the Salon International De L’alimentation (SIAL) Shanghai competition.

2019 China International Top Chefs Invitational Competition by SIAL took place in May 2019 and is co-host by CCA, World Association of Chefs Societies and SIAL China. This prestigious competition is participated by top chefs from Hongkong, Malaysia, Korea, Italy, and Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Chengdu of China exclusively. Judged by top judges of World Association of Chefs Societies with International Judge Certification, the participants are tested on cuisine creativity, cooking skills, utilization of assigned ingredients, taste, and cleanliness in kitchen.


Chef Bryan clinched the Gold with Distinction Award with two unique dishes of Wok-fried Ribeye Beef with Grape Sauce and Deep-fried Chicken Wing Stuffed with Otak-Otak. The unique pairing of ingredients is what sealed the winning points for Dorsett Grand Subang’s Executive Chinese Chef.


Foodies can now enjoy Chef Bryan’s award-winning dishes along with his signature dishes at Dorsett Grand Subang’s Chinese Restaurant, The Emperor for lunch or dinner with advanced order. The Emperor is well-known for their sumptuous Chinese cuisine that is also pork-free. From fiery Szechuan to Cantonese dishes, the menu at The Emperor also includes a delicious dim sum list for yum cha session.


The golden Deep-fried Chicken Wing with Otak-Otak offer diners an unusual moreish flavour from our local otak-otak spices. Stuffed to the max, the otak-otak filling has a well-balanced spice note that complimented the crispy deboned chicken wing well. A side sauce that has a creamy and unctuous flavour added much oomph to the dish.
