1987 560 SEC (SOLD)

Black on black 1987 560 SEC with 5.8L 350 HP engine. This is the Carobu 560 development car that we used to validate all the W126 engine and chassis modifications. this is a unique opportunity to buy a one-off development car. The car is SOLD. Thanks for all the interest.

Originally, a rust-free car from Southern California, mechanically, the car is totally renewed/restored and has the following features.

 HB Sport Stage II (350 HP/5.8L) engine package which includes a complete rebuild with new parts.

Here is what was replaced; 98.5mm pistons (forged 10.5:1 compression), con rod bolts (HB Sport/ARP), all bearings, gaskets and seals, cylinder heads rebuilt with new hydraulic posts, rocker arms and HB Sport Stage II camshafts.

The fuel system was upgraded and includes new fuel pumps, accumulator and rebuilt fuel distributor.

A full electronics package was added including a special CIS-E control unit, ECU, MSD spark controller and modified distributor.

The intake manifold was modified to our specifications for better flow.

HB Sport exhaust headers and 60mm stainless steel muffler system make a wonderful sound at full throttle, but is restrained to the ear.

 We rebuilt the automatic transmission to include a 1st gear start valve body and firmer shift points.

The rear differential has a rebuilt limited slip with 2.46 gearing (top speed is 170 MPH/270 KPH)

The rear wheel bearings where replaced.

 The chassis was also rebuilt with new subframe bushings, adjustable control arm bushings (front and rear), new Koni dampers, HB Sport lowering springs and new spring rubbers.

A special 4-wheel alignment was done for better handling.

The wheels are original AMG 17” fitted with new Michelin Pilot tires.

The braking system was rebuilt with new brake rotors and pads.
