Welcome to our first sketch challenge of February. It's so fun to be able to inspire you week after week here at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog!
Below you'll find Sketch 266. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.
Vanessa stuck close to the sketch, and she obviously had a BLAST playing with the brand spankin' new Out of This World stamp set and Die-namics! She also used some other great products from the February release — the Starry Night Background Builder stamp and the Stars in the Sky - Horizontal Die-namics — to create the feeling of outer space.
The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 266!
Anna Kossakovskaya uses the Square Grid Cover-Up Die-namics to perfection to create this lovely design. Her sentiment using the Label Maker Love stamp set hits the same spot as the sketch and looks gorgeous with her floral landscape.
Debbie Olson turns the sketch on its side (very cool!), and gathers a lovely lavender bouquet using the brand new Large Desert Bouquet stamp set and Die-namics. The sentiment on the flag makes her design a great rendition of sketch 266.
Francine Vuillème flips the sketch upside down and places the branch from the Tweet on You stamp set in place of the horizontal element from the sketch. I love how the crisp white panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics makes the pretty cloud effect on the inner panel shine.
Like Vanessa, Julie Dinn closely follows the sketch, and while the two of them both make designs with a starry sky, Julie's has a more sophisticated feel to it than Vanessa's card for a child. It just goes to show how versatile our sketches can be!
Keisha Campbell anchors her horizontal sentiment on a pretty pink heart giving this design lots of pop! This simple sketch allows you to play with Die-namics layering and background stamping which Keisha executes with great panache.
Torico envisions a pretty spring day in her adorable interpretation of Sketch 266. The main panel allows you to dream up anything you can think of, and why not a cute scene using the all new Farm-tastic stamp set and Die-namics and the sweet new Farm Fence Die-namics? It's fresh and fun against her Mini Hexagon background.
