I have an assortment of things to post about today. We have been home just about a week. I know that I was a bit secretive about where I was but the photo at the top of this post will give you a good hint(!). I recently read about sites that post information about people who are away from home and our neighbors had their car broken into the day before we left, so I was trying to be discreet.
I spent a lot of time today making sure that I had backed up everything I need to before stripping my computer and starting to reinstall everything tomorrow night. I found that I still haven't caught up with all of the emails... but I am trying. If you had something that you were in a hurry to find out about, do not hesitate to email me again so I will be more likely to see your request.
I want to acknowledge some awards that have been sent to me recently.
First, the Beautiful Blogger award from Susan at Busy with the Cricky . You can see the information about this award at THIS POST and read some interesting things that Susan shares about herself - I found out that we must be secret sisters since four of the things she shared about herself could have been written by me (I'll let you guess which ones!). She has passed the award on to a wonderful list of bloggers so you will want to check them out too.
Next I received this award from Clare at CricutCraftyClare. You can find out more about the award at THIS POST. Clare has been doing lots of lovely Design Studio designs - I used to email with her when she needed help but she has taken off and makes lots of wonderful projects with her Design Studio. If you read her post you will find out what she wants to be doing in ten years - I am still thinking about that one!
I was doubly awarded next - this award is from Brenda at Bug-Bitten Disney Fanatic and you can see all of the people that Brenda chose for this award at THIS POST
I also received this award from GrammaP at GrammaP's Scrapping Spot. Sheila is one of the few online friends that I have actually had a chance to meet in person - she lives only a couple of hours away from me. You can see who she sent the award too at THIS POST.
This royal award comes from Pam at The Bug Bytes. I appreciate the "crowning" (I'll have to get out my tiara from my Adult Ballet Class to serve as a substitute!). Pam is also a queen of the Gypsies and was just made a "Bug Guide" on the Cricut Message Board. You can see a little more about this award at THIS POST.
I have been so consumed with putting my digital life back in order that I did not have a chance to do all of the lists and other requirements for these awards. If I can find the time, I will add to this post but I hope you will read the lists from the people who sent these to me and find out about some blogs and artists that may be new to you. I will also share some more photos from our trip soon - I even have a little prize or two for a couple of lucky regular readers.
There are a few more things I want to share. I just bought this paper stack at Michael's last weekend. It seems that the birds, birdhouses and tree themes are everywhere right now. I have started a few projects with this patterned cardstock and it is soo cute! It is a bit smaller than the stacks you usually get from DCWV with 36 sheets instead of 48.
This had to be the bargain of the century - a bulk bag of binder clips "marked down" from $9,999.90 to $3.50! I imagine it is some sort of computer programming issue but it certainly made me laugh!
That's all for right now but I will be sharing an exciting opportunity - having to do with "red velvet" - a little later on Thursday. You won't want to miss this chance for some great prizes!
