BrickWars Sets Description The Lego 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas set is a battle pack that includes a clone trooper sergeant, a clone trooper, and two droidekas as well as a Republic mobile command center. Clone troopers were genetically engineered clones created from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett. The main cloning facilities were located on the stormy planet of Kamino. Clones had their DNA modified so that they would be loyal and obedient with a reduced inclination towards rebellion. They were trained at an early age and indoctrinated to believe in the Galactic Republic’s cause and to protect it. They were bred to be the perfect soldiers. As the Clone Wars dragged on, they proved their worth serving alongside the Jedi and combating the Separatist droid forces. In the Clone Army also existed officers, who were clones themselves. They received additional training to perform their assigned roles efficiently, including captain, sergeant and commander. When the clones made their debut on the battlefield during the Battle of Geonosis, they were clad in Phase I armor, loosely based on Jango Fett’s armor design. The helmet was probably the most distinguishing feature of the uniform, which had a T-shaped visor. Officers were differentiated by colored markings on their armor, which often appeared striped on their helmets and across their upper torso, typically down the arms. Droidekas were tripedal droids manufactured by the Colicoids. Also known as destroyer droids, droidekas were fast, powerful and deadly. Developed by an alien race known as the Colicoids, they were modeled in shape after their creators. In addition to their rapid-firing capabilities, the droidekas could also roll up into a wheel shape, allowing them to more quickly traverse terrain or pursue its targets. More often times than not, droidekas had their built-in deflector shields activated. This, combined with their dual blaster cannons, made them formidable opponents. Conventional blaster and laser cannon fire had no effect; high explosives were needed to destroy them, such as artillery fire or hand missiles. Jedi could also defeat them, as could a well-placed droid grenade, though these two methods were significantly riskier than simply attacking with explosives from a distance.
The Lego 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas contains 124 pieces and includes 4 minifigures.
