I had seen this post "2 months ago" in sushi-fthr's blog......
Hmm.. come to think of it... i had left the "whatever" firm near to two months already.

I had always view myself as a loyal worker who will work for one firm and only one firm only till i die. But there are times where wise decision must be made. I always felt that my decision of leaving the "whatever" firm is correct as at up to now. Maybe i will regret my decision in future but at least i am contented for now.

It seems to many that i had decided to run away from problem instead of facing it. The truth is... yes!! I am running away... but it is not because i had not faced it before. It is just not in my control anymore whether things had take a very topsy turvy turn till i sometimes doubt my sanity in dealing it. Things clouded my mind and i had made a blunder out of myself for so long. It has suddenly struck me sometime in March 2009 that i had to make some very important decision. I had miraculously get myself another offer and i tendered the letter i had requested from sushi-fthr. Though my current job is not as high paying or high profile as the "whatever" firm, i still feel lucky being able to work in my current firm. It made me value the my current firm so much better after all the horrible scenes i had to go through in my ex-firm.

Who say big firms are good??!! You will never know after you get into one. The horrors of autocracy, politics, hierachy and conflicts had made me moved on without the feelings to even look back. Hmm... sounds serious right? It is like that. Maybe it is my fault of trying to get myself a good start in society. This proves to be a very wrong move as it seems that i had ruined the "start" and currently, i am nursing the wounds that it has caused.

Alas, i really hope that sushi-fthr will find the place where he thinks he can best be suited.

I had always wonder the meaning of "belong". I had once felt that i belong to a particular place but time has proven that it is wrong. It seems now i am still finding the "place" for myself in this wide world.

Food and resolution

Hello all for 2009 and buhbye to 2008 (it is a bit late but who cares)
We had a so call christmas cum new year cum CNY dinner yesterday. By the sound of it, you all can deduce that we are going through tight times lately. Nevertheless, we still had quite a variety of seafood (considering the economy now.... having crabs and prawns for dinner is already luxury minus all the thank god for the food part) SO as i had mention, we had buttered prawns, curry powder crabs, marmite crabs and other dishes.
THat was actually quite a good dinner with laughing folks around. The environment was a happy tone (everybody was busy stuffing themselves silly) where at that moment, work seems to dissolved into the unwanted side of the brain (~~)

Such happy times seems to come once in a blue moon..... so the new year resolution for 2009 is to be happier than 2008!! CHeers!!!

Talking bout crabs... i had been eating so much crabs lately (hehe) but hor i still find the crabs in Seremban taste the best !!!! Want to go there again .... sob sob...

THe year of Bulls & Cows...

The lunar year of Mickey mouse is going to end soon and we are all eager to usher in the year of bulls and cows. Be prepared for a year of vegetarian eating (grass!!!) and milk spurting !!!

Screamings aside, there are also tonnes of things to do before we leap straight into the lunar year of bull (from here onwards i will only use bull... typing bull & cow is very tiring...haizz).
The house needs extra hard cleaning, scratched walls needs repainting, cookies need to be made and many many more. Thinking of these chores already gives me the feeling of wanting to faint....
But hor... this is the things that makes it so exciting to usher in the lunar new year. The chinese radio channels are strumming with CNY tunes which makes you really really wants to throw all formal jobs and indulge in the preparation of CNY. The feeling of rolling out cookiew dough, the aroma of newly baked cookies and the smell of all the homemade tidbits will definitely brings the CNY spirits caving into your souls.
I have already been well on the route of making CNY preparations (actually not me but rather my brother... (~~)... he is so excited that sometimes i think CNY is tomorrow) My mum had already made springs rolls (chun kuen in cantonese) which is enough to feed a whole village in Africa. I had bought enough of softdrinks to water the whole Malaysia (as if). My fridge has been stuffed with packets of pineapple jam that is waiting to be stuffed into the biscuit dough.... i can't wait already!!!!!!!! (drooling badly)

Good things aside.... the news looks bleak on this coming year of bull. Feng-shui-ist and astrologist has given quite bad review on bull's year saying more calamity then good. Well, things had been rather bad lately and it seems that no one is providing high hopes for next year. It seems like we are doomed for the worst next year..... hmm all the bad news really doused the festive mood......

Ohh... did i ramble too faraway???? It's not even 1st Jan 2009 and i have been babbling of CNY already.... silly me.

Front sea, back mountain

People must be wondering why so suddenly this person has some short circuit in the left and right brain. Oh ho... i dun have short circuit but it the saying of Chinese that when a place is facing the sea and backing the mountain should be abundance of fortune that never depleted for a few generations (kononnya). I actually does believe in such absurb thinking as there are no logic behind this senseless thinking.

Then the real life example kicks in with all the goodness of the reality flavour where i saw many many successful business are in such "wind water" aka "feng shui". Believe it or not, but this is really no crap talking of mindless blabbering. Must be all the nutrients of the mountain are flowing profusely into the pockets of the owners; the tide risng to fill any creeks and crooks that had been left out by the mountain nutrients. (okok that's my own thinking ... being no logical sense behind such words but at least there are some scientific truth in my words ... hummph)

As a matter of fact, i think i would like my future abode to be in such wind water. Should be nice if mountain nutrients and sea water coming at me at the same time. Should be doubly fat (Money wise muahahah)

I think there is a rubbish mountain behind my house and the seaside is at the front (though a bit far far far far far away but still is at the FRONT) I am going to it back and relax ad let the nutrients and water seep in..... though i am obviously fat already kekekek

The vacation trainees (VTs) of our firm are going to end their training term this following Monday. It seems like they had been with us a long time, through thick and thin as well wind and rain.

Masquerade...? A hassle or an excitement

Lately, we have been plague with the idea of going to a masquerade. Hmm... initially this should be a good idea.... but hor ... after a few thoughts, it turns out we are facing one of the biggest disaster for the YEAR!!!!!

We left think... right think... we just can't figure out where in the hell should we find a mask for this event. First thought was to get some silly "Ultaman" (Ultraman) or even local "Cicakman" will do. However, here's the catch. The costume is formal evening costume!!

Imagine a prim tuxedo with a combination of Ultaman mask.... can't imagine right?? The image should be downright funny if not embrassing (~~) Well, well... so we have made such a choice of abandoning the opportunity to go (which we think it is a wise choice... muahahhaha)

It is because...... (drum roll please.....) the cost of finding and purchasing a suitable masquerade mask has exceeded all the benefits of going to the event itself. Analysis as follows.....

Benefits of going
1. Good food
2. Good music (applicable to some only)
3. Free flow of drinks (applicable to some only)
4. Cam-whoring (if you so tak malu and keep on self-photographing)
5. Many leng lui ("mmm, nice"), many leng zhai ("wow")


Costs....
1. Costume cost (if ladies then will cost a fortune)
2. Make-up and hairdo (applicable to ladies and some "men" too)
3. Travelling cost (event is in another hell far of a place)
4. Mask cost (heck do you think it's FREE???)
5. Cost to procure a mask (browsing, chatting, asking, looking and even trying cost!)
6. LOud music (noise pollutions)
7. Drunken fist...opps... i mean people (due to free flow of drinks)
8. and so on...........

Ta .... daa... as a conclusion, not going seems a better choice.... no exception noted. suggest leave(^^)
