This is my design on the 'pavilion' on the front entrance of our archi building. Wood is the main material, and this is a cross year project over 5 years of students, about 14 people a team, and 1 singaporean. Most discussion were in korean, as I am the only engrish speaking one. Clearly they are not interested in the design or this project, for they are not awarded any 'points', other than yr 1 and yr 2, which got some 'points'
being a 'points' orientated design, it was initially a 4 column, rectangle roof and floor, 3 benches design, vaguely resembling that of a bus stop... surely it could solve the problem of the site being a smoker's corner, for now we introduce seats for the smokers to gather and celebrate.
Out of 14 teams members, probably 10 showed up, with only 1 initial design. Some how it evovled to a '4 boxes in a row' thing, with a slight curvature fronting whats left of the yard.
My accident was to voice my comment, suggesting a vantage point in the middle of the yard that pulls people into the 4 boxes. after much discussion in korean, It became my idea, and i am to work on it to give a final design, to be submitted in roughly 36 hrs time. (16 hrs from now)
It is much suggested that i use straight angles instead of curves, for wood can not cut curves, or so i am told. Being the stubborn guy i am, I curved whatever i want. DEZIGN! Waveform! whalebone! ZERGED!
Constructure is a piece of shit resultanted of bad planning and organisation i think
