That's Not How You Treat A Lady
When I wrote 'The Price A Woman Should Never Pay', I thought those responsible for the incident were the worst people I could possibly imagine. But I was wrong.
Today, I learned that humans will never fail to disgust me in every way that is possible. They will succeed in portraying the darkest part of their heart and the rest of us will not be able to believe just how good they, or maybe I should say 'we', are at it.
These women are the victims of extreme selfishness, ridiculous sense of humanity, and allow me to say it, disgustingly lack of love and appreciation that if I had to describe these tragedies and the people who were behind them, I'd proudly say, "Motherf**kers."
Who the hell gives you and me the right to throw acid on anybody?

A New Place To Learn English
Straight to the point, me and my friend Syafiq (again) are co-hosting a new blog called 'Let's Get Whiteboard-ed'. The main purpose of this blog is to make it a community where anybody who loves English can share what he or she knows or wants to know about the language.
But the best part is, when we said 'share', we literally meant it. If you have ideas about teaching methods, learning skills, study tips, classroom experience or anything related to English education, we encourage you to write it down in a form of a writing and send it to us! If it's good, we'll publish it on the blog with your name as the author.
Some people complain about their level of English proficiency and how to improve it. Well now we have one of many solutions - start reading and writing!
Other than that, 'Let's Get Whiteboard-ed' will also be a place where you get to know about news and what's going on with our country's English teaching and learning. There you'll find links that direct you to a lot of important websites, important as in for; research papers, English games, literatures, dictionaries etc. I'm sure they'll be good for your classrooms (if you're a teacher) and studies (if you're still studying).

Dramatic Durian
Did I tell you that I am a movie goer? That I love watching movies a lot? Well, if I did, that's good. If I didn't, well... guys, I am movie goer. I love watching movies, especially back-to-back, and nothing excites me more than watching movies at the cinema.
Anyway, me and my friend Syafiq are sharing similar interest in this activity and somehow one day we decided to create a site that talks about movies all the time. 100% movie-related. Local and international. Guess what? We did it. There are reviews, featured articles and news over there. Do have a look, please.

I guess life gets better naturally, alright? It can never get worse on its own, unless you yourself do some things that perhaps don't belong, and they eventually lead to the demise of your own fortune. Or something like that. But there's no such a person who purposely makes his or her life that bad. In fact, we all struggle to improve ourselves to the utmost possibilities, greatest possibilities that lie ahead, and should we fail...well, life will still get better someday in the end. Because it has to. It won't get worse just like that.
On my part of living a life as a writer, it does get better. It moves slowly, but it's getting there. I got some ideas running in my brain, I know how to start working on them, and it's just a matter of time before I start visualizing them into reality. But I want to take my time. For the moment, allow me to cherish what I have in hands.
On Friday, November 12 2010, I wrote a short story about how fragile a child's love towards his mother is if compared to vice versa. It's titled 'When It Breaks More Than It Should'. Turned out that my collaborator Fakhrul Anour loved it and wanted to make it a short 6-page comic strip. I guess it's my luck.

And like I've always said, I write whatever I have in mind. Sometimes it could be total nonsense, sometimes it could mean something. I write to feed my passion, and however weird my writings end up to be, I thank you for reading them.

Comic Adaptations
I first discovered my 'ability' to write when I was six, during the kindergarten year. My handwriting was so horrible that the teachers had always been complaining they couldn't understand a word I wrote. Feeling demotivated and then got motivated by that 'demotivated' feeling (I hated the feeling therefore I fought it, in order to overcome it -- get it?), I re-discovered the same ability and found a new and better style of handwriting. End of story.
Now that was a bunch of crap writing. What the fish.
Okay, seriously. I first discovered my passion in writing when I always smiled whenever my Bahasa Melayu teacher gave me an essay homework like, every week. I was like, "Hey! Why am I smiling? Oh, because I love writing essays!" But that was Bahasa Melayu essay writing. Years later, when I registered myself as a TESL student, I knew that I was going to write a lot in English. In fact, a lot more and a lot better in English. When I finally got my very own personal computer, nah, I started writing random things every day. And I'm still doing it today.
My counsellor said, "My advice is, you must never allow yourself to be 'bound' by anything that makes you write in a certain way. Because from what I see, you write freely and don't have specific forms or styles. Keep doing that." Yes, I literally write whatever I have in mind and most of the times, nonsense.
But fortunately, that 'nonsense' of mine has somehow managed to put a 'sense' in my life and poof! At least now I know that my nonsense-styled piece of writing is not entirely nonsense, at all. Muahaha!
My once written and published on this blog 'KTMB: A Love Story' has been adapted into an eight-page comic strip illustrated by Fakhrul Anour.
And our next project is on its way. That would be 'Promises' (a twelve-page comic strip).
Well, I can honestly tell you that whenever I write, it is only because of my passion. I write whatever and however I want. Maybe some of them annoy you, maybe some of them inspire you. Doesn't matter which one it is, deep in my heart I thank you for reading.
p/s: Fakhrul Anour, my friend Aimi says that her favourite is 'Edisi Khas Bahasa Melayu 3: 'Unable To Speak'' and she wants this up for the next project. What say you?
The All-Star Team
I'm having an attack of nostalgia. My mind suddenly starts thinking about TESL years and all the presentations and performances that me and my group had done back then. Well, due to some several class conditions and rules, we had to change groups occasionally. Even so, there is one group that I'll never ever forget. We didn't always score the highest marks, or get the most approving round of applause, but we surely gave the best in everything. It was the best time of all. We, unanimously, named the group 'The All-Star Team'.
Taufiq: The funniest man on Earth. He'll do anything just to make sure our group gets enough marks. If you really know him, you'll realize that you find it hard to understand whatever he's saying, because most of his words hardly make any sense. But, that's what makes him 'The Taufiq'.
Fact about Taufiq: When he was born, he was programmed to respond to only four things; money, food, sports and entertainment. He will self-destruct if you ever mention anything else. :P
Nazmi: We call him 'Kalut'. He's always nervous, he always panics and loses his confidence easily. But, once we have explained to him everything there is to know about our plan, his confidence will be as solid as a mutant mammoth.
Fact about Nazmi: He's a good football player, and his shooting power is awesome. He once killed a goalkeeper in a friendly match. :P
Hizzly: We call him 'Boo', 'Jogo', 'Steven Spielberg' and several other names too. The way he has so many nicknames shows the 'amount of identity' he possesses. Haha, only the group members and those close to him know what that exactly means. He is the most hardworking member in the group, and he always asks questions (other than because of his hardworking attitude, this is due to his 'blur' in thinking that makes him ask the same questions repeatedly). Give him any job, he'll finish it in no time.
Fact about Hizzly: His hands got the ability to 'tremble+shiver+shake' so fast that sometimes they cause an earthquake. :P
Syafiq: The computer man in the group. Movies, soundtracks, Power Point slides, cover pages, or whatever audio-visual aids for the presentation, he's the man to go to. He takes the responsibility as the group leader occasionally, even though it is clearly a fact that he's the one who always comes late during a discussion or whatever. He's also a photographer.
Fact about Syafiq: Like Saiga Tatsumi in 'Speed Grapher' (anime), he can only reach orgasm by taking pictures. Oh no, he's so gonna kill me. :P
Igniz: The accidental leader of the group. They choose him to be the leader out of nothing but the idea that they are too lazy to go here and there to meet the lecturer. That's all. Normally he'll be the one who comes up with the idea or script, before it gets edited by his maniacal team members.
Fact about Igniz: He can hold his breath underwater for more than 37 minutes. The time gets longer when there are girls in the water. :P

Diving Is Better Than Not Diving
Date: 28th March 2008

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Dive properly at the swimming pool.
2. Dive more often at the swimming pool.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Dive properly by following at least five out of eight steps successfully.
2. Dive at least three times at the swimming pool.
Educational Emphasis: Diving Skills
PRE-DIVING
Students greet the teacher and start the lesson by asking him the correct way to dive. Teacher gets out of the swimming pool, stands up and gets ready to dive immediately. Students respond by clapping their hands.
Teacher prepares himself in a diving pose. Students look and wait patiently. Some of them become too nervous thinking that teacher might get hurt, cannot take the pressure, and then faint. But teacher proceeds with the lesson anyway.
WHILE-DIVING
Teacher starts the diving process. He bends his knees and gets ready to jump. Students hold their breath and start praying.
Teacher jumps off the rock and dives into the swimming pool. Students become so excited, they hold their breath for another second.
Teacher flips his body over in the air. Students cannot really see the movement as it is done in a split second, but they shout in excitement anyway. At the very same moment teacher exclaims, "Hey everyone! Look at those two boys! They have the same pose and expression from the start until now!"
Teacher continues flipping over his body in the air seven times. Students become so amazed and continue shouting in excitement. However, more of them fall unconscious (forgot to breathe).
POST-DIVING
The gravity starts to play its role. Teacher says loudly, "Here I am...!!! Later I want all of you to do the same thing like what I'm doing now, but with different movements! Do not copy!" More and more students fall unconscious.
Teacher 'lands' into the water with style. Students clap hands and cry excitedly. They say, "you're simply the best!!". Teacher asks for moral values of the lesson. Students respond by saying, "we should never dive onto the floor..", "we can never dive better than you, sir..", "diving is better than not diving.." Teacher concludes the lesson by giving homework; go home and dive anywhere you want (as long as it's not hard grounds) at least three times.
