It's Been Awhile...
It's almost hard to believe it's already mid-July. May and June passed by too quickly.. eventfully... hectically... stressfully.. What with all the meet the parents event going on.
July started off relatively more quiet.. As I have predicted, I am finally settling into a routine. I kinda like it :) As much as I like going out, seeing things, meeting friends.. I like the idea that in the background I have a routine that keeps things in check for me. (A certain sense of 'security'?) Just having this new routine has taken a chunk of stress off my shoulders.. It's just too bad that I shouldn't get too comfortable with it (no matter how much I like it) since I will probably have to settle into another one pretty soon.
But with July, comes my "brought forward" report due date... As much as I was trying to reassure my sister I'm not at the losing end of this bargain.. I'm pretty sure I'm not at the winning end either. I can only hope that by the time I go to work on Tuesday, J will have received the results that I need to continue writing my report.
I think I'm still not prepared for what is coming after August. It's even harder when there are those who are nudging me towards continuing my studies. Is it ok to not want to be extraordinary? Isn't it ok to just want a peaceful, somewhat ordinary life?
