Time...

"Time is something that sneaks off and hide somewhere when you're too busy to keep count and then sneaks up at you the moment you feel like you can let go breathe again." --

The past couple of weeks just flew by.. and when I really think about it, the days, the months, the semester, the year all really went by a little too quickly. Granted there were times when I wished so hard that time will pass a little faster (e.g. when I have a dateline/test)

Today as I stepped out of the house to go to class... spring greeted me! So there goes my last winter.. what will I do with my winter jacket once the winter is really over? Should I give away most of my long sleeve shirts too considering how I'd probably never need them once I go back? Is this really the end of school? Lectures/tests/exams/tutorials (hmm.. probably not "lectures")

My future.. which will be my present... in a couple of month's time is still a big question mark. In any case, moving on in life is not really a choice. What is a choice though is how we choose to face life... changes and all. (My present choice: TRY *REALLY hard* and (to) stay positive)

Fire Alarm, Smoke, "Exercise" and a Stinky House

Last night was my closest brush with a "real fire" incident... with REAL fire alarms and more than 7 fire trucks... So there I was happily sitting in my room watching "Bon Cop Bad Cop" with yh when the building fire alarm went off. I wasnt too bothered until yh stopped the disc and I saw a flicker... then another flicker... Then we decided maybe it'll be a good idea to evacuate. And not a moment too soon cause when we stepped out the door, the smoke was coming right at us already. I couldnt see two doors down.

So down the stairs and into the next building we went where we spent quite a while watching fire trucks arriving one after another.. and firemen with all sorts of tools had me worried for awhile if they might break open my door and discover what I did to my house fire fire alarm :p

Anyway, it got boring after awhile so we went to Tim Horton's for a cuppa.. Came back, the fire trucks were still there.. Sat and talked to a Malaysian auntie living in 200 who was sitting and watching all that's happening. Watch the fire trucks leave one after another. Walked back up the stairs since the elevators are out (it's amazing how I managed to walk up 25 floors last time in Chestnut after the fire alarms considering how tired I felt after walking up 14 floors last night.. maybe age is really catching up on me :p)

So when we got back, we found out the reason why I couldnt see two doors down through the smoke earlier was because that was the apartment that was on fire. >.<

Now my house smells like smoke.. even after one whole afternoon of airing. I'm wondering if baking soda will help. Right now, I'm trying out a vinegar treatment which I'm doubtful about but hey what have I got to lose right?
