Only just finished the Da Vinci's Code :) Yeah yeah.. slow... but at least I finally did got around to it.. My first complete e-book no less... I have to say it's a pretty good book though the first part was much too similar to Angels and Demons in my opinion... I wanna read The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe next!! Too bad I dont see that happening anytime soon.. sigh.. Guess this will probably be my last leisure reading for awhile (at least until after the final exams..)
Time to buck up and study for the upcoming finals...Sigh..

"It's always the small little things that take up the most time" Sigh..
I saw snowflakes today... the REAL thing!! Actually I caught quite a few! :D (albeit not with my hands but still...) It was so pretty :)

Personally I think "not" is the all time most deceiving word.. hmm.. well maybe not exactly deceiving.. But it can certainly be misleading (if that's what you intent) when used in a sentence with the right choice of words..

Steel wool soap pads : $3
Cereal box price: negligible
Ultrasonic mouse trap: $20
Bertina's expression: Priceless
There are somethings money cant buy... for everything else, there's Mastercard...
** to be elaborated on later... but just to note: mice seem to have a tendency to appear (like really appear!) just a night or two before my midterm exams... there goes another couple of hours worth of studying.. sigh..
*edit*
The stats test is OVER! And HORRID wouldnt even begin to decribe it! I'd sooooooooo like to blame it all on that stupid mouse!! But I guess that wouldnt be fair considering I've never been good at stats to begin with.. but that rodent's uninvited presence last night (which ended up taking up precious hours) sealed it.. my stats is a goner :(
Now the house is laid with sticky traps just in case our smart little furry friend decides to drop by again.. Hopefully it escaped through one of the holes last night before we stuffed them.. I dont really fancy the idea of having a mouse stuck on glue calling for help.. nor the thought of having to deal with it after.. *fingers crossed*
Observation of the day: Worms like to play in the rain... I saw at least 5 within 200 m of stepping out of the apartment building this morning.. and that's only counting those that are alive and wriggling.. there were quite a number of squished ones too.. Ugh! Gross!

Random coincidences... or not?
Sometimes things that seem like "random events" happen in such a way that although it may not be a good thing in the general sense of the word, somehow we end up "benefitting" from it in some way... On one hand it seems so random (totally unexpected) yet the timing is so right... it really makes me wonder...

I sometimes (maybe often times) forget to express gratitude for thoughts, words, gestures and/or acts I've received from others. And when I do remember... which is usually quite abit later (yes.. I know I'm slow poke) it just seem a little weird to suddenly bring the subject up again.. So right now, I'd like to say "Thank You" to all those who have taken the time and/or effort, who cared/cares and who helped me somehow, one way or another (consciously or otherwise) some time in my life. I may have forgotten to fully express my gratitute to you personally.. but I do really appreciate (and remember) your kind thoughts/words/gestures/acts :)
We learn new things everyday. So I decided to list down a few (of the many) new things I learnt this week (in no particular order):
1. To close my room door (in future) when cooking certain kinds of food
2. Avoid using elevators after frying belacan... (haha.. it really smells)
3. The reason some people no longer feel like eating after a real long/good cooking session, is probably not because they are sick of facing the food they spent hours making but more likely because they are just too tired
4. There's never going to be enough time.. So learn to make the best out of what you have
5. The existance of a condition known as low latent inhibition
6. There is this 'thing' sold in Mexican shops that looks something like "a-cross-between-a-guava-and-a-cactus-plant" that's loosely described as "vegetable" (quoting the store owner)
7. It's amazing how much strain the human body can take without breaking down
8. It's good to have a humidifier that works :)

Followed a link from ann's blog to take a personality test.. after completing the test and seeing the results (which looked strangely familiar).. I realized I'd taken the same test before some time back.. and had gotten the same results...
According to the Jung Typology Test, my type is ISFJ. The qualitative analysis states that I am/have a:
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Leo-Tzu
(I'm wondering if Leo was a misspelling of Lao.. )
According to the Jung Typology Test, my type is ISFJ. The qualitative analysis states that I am/have a:
- moderately expressed Introvert
- slightly expressed Sensing personality
- distinctively expressed Feeling personality
- moderately expressed Judging personality
ISFJ description by D. Kiersey
ISFJ description by J. Butt and M. M. Heiss
On a totally unrelated note I saw a quote that reads:"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Leo-Tzu
(I'm wondering if Leo was a misspelling of Lao.. )
