Too much

Wikipedia seems like my great source of answers after looking at Microbiology's last year exam paper.

Guess i shall study Wikipedia for my coming paper.

Time is limited as compared to the amount of stuff to study for this module - lecture notes, textbook, videos, 30 different students' presentations and whatever he said in class that i have forgotten....

Anyway, finished with 2 ESE modules and didnt seem that good.

Microbiology is another difficult paper to handle.

P.S. Eh, Solid Wastes' past year paper also seem quite difficult leh... die.

Countdown

11 hours to first paper...

Yet, i had a bad dream this morning during my sleep.

I dreamed that i woke up at 8.13am when my paper was supposed to be at 9am. After rushing, i only left my home at 8.46am.

There were many cabs apparently but i chose to take a lift from someone who was also late in going school. On the car, i looked through my notebook to check my exam venue and it was at E3.

E3? Where is E3? Then i looked at the map to find E3. Then i checked which module was today's paper and it was Air Quality!

Oh my, i havent prepared Air Quality yet! I looked closely again and my bad, it was Wastewater. Thankfully.

But i began to wonder why i overslept. Aint i fell asleep on Saturday and it was supposed to be Sunday when i woke up? Why was it Monday already? Unless i slept for so long?

Never mind. I reached school at 9.20am eventually.

Then i came back to reality.

It was really a bad dream. It felt so real that in the dream, i actually thought why wasnt it Sunday, yet somehow it turned out this way. And i really thought i was late for my paper. And i was awake lying on my bed, i was thinking it is Sunday or Monday, and felt really relieved when i concluded it is still sunday.

And just now, i went to check my exam venue for tomorrow paper and it is really E3! My dream can be so accurate!

Maybe i shall buy 4D for 0813, 0846 and 0920.

Anyway, hope this is not a dream that will come true.

Couch Potato

Thursday is a TV day.

So many programmes to watch and all happening at the same time... Ah..

On Channel 5:
7.30pm : Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? - Let you see how stupid Americans are, really! The questions they asked are Primary 1 to 5 level and the contestants couldnt answer.

8.30pm : Deal or No Deal - Interesting show and it was Fiona Xie as contestant. Playing for charity. At the end, the case she chose only has $250, then she felt bad and decided to donate $5000 personally. After that, the host said for charity, they decided to give her $25000 instead. Wah... I wonder if Fiona would feel a pain in her heart after the announcement.

11pm : America's Next Top Model - Nice show also.

On AXN:
9pm : The Amazing Race Asia 2 - It was the debut episode and they started off in Singapore. From the Clarke Quay, the contestants went to Mount Faber for a clue then off to Suntec City for a challenge where they have to cross from Tower 3 to Tower 4 at the top (180meters above ground) and finally off to Manila. And I realised a lot of advertising are done in the show! Nokia phones are used as GPS tool and helmets printed with AVIVA logo. Bad.

On another channel:
8pm (repeat telecast at 10pm): 超级星光大道 - A singing competition that is already into the second season in Taiwan but it is still airing the first season here. But this episode wasnt that exciting to watch.

Well, I had to keep switching channels.

And decided to forgo Channel 8 and Channel U then.

And not study for sometime.

More than Just Rubbish

And last friday, the very last day of school before reading week, we had another fieldtrip....

The 2 stacks

This time was Tuas South Incineration Plant... Nothing much to see except rubbish.

And of course how the whole plant works. Surely we must have learnt something from this trip and not just rubbish, right?

The big Grabber

And this marks the pre-end of our semester.

Still got exams yah.

2 Choose 1

It is always tough when one has to make choices between two.

This time, it is.....

VS

One is the last lesson of the semester. The other one is the last gathering of the semester.

In the end, i ate 2 Old Chang Kee's curry puff. Haha.

Seen on stage

Recently, last week in fact, i actually got a small performance at the Central forum for Eusoff Hall's bazaar. And since it was just a small thing, it wasnt much publicised. Haha.

Well, it was the same 'Act 2' again and i think it is getting a bit boring though. But it's ok since we werent paid to perform. Haha....

I like this picture's effect inherent from camera

So we practised just a few times and without correcting a lot of mistakes and adjusting to perfection and off we went to perform. Just 2 minutes only...

In Position::Rehearsal
The stage::After the performance

Nonetheless, it was quite fun though. But hopefully there's no more next time!

I want to be paid.

Lab time

Last week was a lab week, because we have to go to the lab everyday for at least 30 mins or so. But, it was quite fun though.

First, we collected air sample from the Central Library to test for the amount of bacteria present in the air. Then we incubated the sample. At the same time, we incubated water sample from the sea, drain, pond.

The incubator::Petri dishes with agar for innoculation
Bacteria from central library growing::Rows of test tubes with water sample

And turn out, the air in Central Library does have various kind of bacteria yah. So the air there is quite bad.

As for the water samples, we had to wait for the bacteria to grow and do various tests. Quite interesting to see how the bacteria grow within 24 hours.

Pervert-looking::Streaking of bacteria on agar plate
Bacteria in tube::E. Coli under microscope

Turned out the water samples do contain E. Coli. So better don't drink them when in the sea.. Haha.

On another day, i went for a Sensory Lab to help out a friend in Food Science. And we got to taste potato cooked in different kind of oil which i don't know what and chose the one i like best.

The small space i have::The form
My test::Sliced potato

Some sample did taste bad. I wonder what kind of oil they used....
