One pitcher got both 'hold' and 'loss,' 4/8 game
NY Times Bats Blog: "Tuesday’s (4/8) box scores included a rare entry in the Twins-Mariners game.
- Brandon Morrow, the Mariners’ closer, was the fourth pitcher for Seattle when he started the bottom of the ninth with a 5-3 lead.
- He walked three and struck out two and was relieved with the bases loaded and two out.
- Miguel Batista then gave up two hits; three runs scored and Minnesota won, 6-5.
- But he was also credited with a hold, because he did not give up the lead while in the game.
