boring holidays

The holidays have been a bore so far. To date, I haven't meet up with any groups other than my Secondary School friends for soccer. They seemed to be pretty occupied too, with school stuffs and work. As the days near towards the FOC, the more 'sianz' I feel about it. I don't want to complain but. Results were released last Friday. It wasn't what I expected, but I can't say that it's very bad. Wei Yen asked me, since our results are more or less determined in the first 2 semesters, what do we still have to take exams for the rest of the few years. I agree with the question, but I have no answer to it. I went to watch Night at the Museum 2 with Carmen on Monday. It's still rather hilarious but it was more plotless than the previous sequel, according to some. I love the boogling Einsteins though. They are so cute. Anyway, here's a MrBrown video for you to enjoy. The topic's on swine flu. Haha.
Sometimes I wonder, when is everything going to be fine. The tears keep rolling and the fears keep growing. I wonder, yet again.

Things are starting to get busier. I am off to HSS Seniors' Camp on Friday at NTU. Although it was supposedly much anticipated, now I just feel like skipping it. Due to the relocation of the actual camp itself, we have to scrape the field games. So what am I left with? New proposal with 1 week to go. I know it's not entirely their fault, due to the uprising H1N1 flu in the South-East Asia region, and the government confiscating all the chalets at Changi. But still, I feel that all the work is not really worth it. On top of the staggering amount I have to contribute financially, I have to cropped up additional funds to purchase the materials itself. Moreover, other than the experience and fun gained, there isn't anything much this event can add to my portfolio, if I was to be standing from a pragmatic point of view. Oh wells, my partner is away at Hong Kong, and I will be left alone for the coming camp. Nice. Epidemic, disasters and World wide virus. What's next? Really,...

tired day at Ubin

I woke up early in the morning and headed down to Tampines, before taking a bus to Changi Village. It's been a while since I last visited Tampines, with the last time being there to play soccer. Tampines 1 looks rather grand, and they have 2 storey-ed Esprit and Topshop. Haha. I browse through most of the shops as it was still too early for them to have started business. Ubin was fun, but tiring. I can't imagine the freshman hiking more than 10km in the mosquito infested trails on that island. Then again, I am not the one hiking. Haha. Somehow, it reminds me of the environment back in Tekong. Haha. I almost got bitten by a green snake, thank god my yell frightened it more than it frightened me. Haha. Planning games at Ubin is quite a tough chore, and I think we are the only 2 programmers who actually visited their games site. Hope they don't change the plan back to field games. This FOC is creating a big hole in my wallet. I have to pay $85 dollars for both senior and actua...

better

Today was a much better day. I will be literally overseas tomorrow. Actually I am heading down to Pulau Ubin with Yue Kai to recce for our Ubin games. Lots of issues haven't been settled, but then again, they are not within my area of concern. I just hope the weather will be kind to us on the actual day itself. I am expecting a tiring day tomorrow, but at least I have a chance to eat the famous Nasi Lemak at Changi Village. Ironically, some of the S3A people are going down to Ubin tomorrow too. Hope I bump into them. Let's pray that I don't have to fight any wild boars tomorrow. Ming Min's 21st Birthday is this friday while Eldar's cycling rendevouz on Sunday. I guess I have to start asking around for the S6B gathering, if not, I highly doubt I will see anyone of them this semester break. I do hope I get to meet up with some of them though. I am just procastinating my time away. In a weird way, I am kind of looking forward to my ICT.

wat's for?

I really wonder what is it for. I really can't figure it out anymore. I just got pointed middle finger, scolded FUCK and TMD today. Really, what's the catch? Yeah I am sorry, for whatever that has happened today that has made you so upset. I am sorry for bringing you oily breakfast causing you to have a stomach upset, I am sorry that I didn't sit at the mahjong table and instead went to accompany you cause I was worried, I am sorry that I even agreed to turn up today because I felt obliged to, I am sorry for asking you to leave in fear of you getting overly bored, I am sorry for not noticing that extra ten bucks that you snuck into my wallet, I am so sorry that I am willing to spend every single cent in my wallet for you without keeping track. So what's the catch? Sometimes I really wonder. What's the difference between now and then? I won't whine on the past, and I want to hold onto the present. You need to stop whining and voice out your co...

2nd week

It's the 2nd week into the holidays. Today's Mother's Day! Pace of fun and joy is beginning to pick up as the NUS people are released from their exams. Didn't really do much yet in this holidays except playing soccer and spending time with her. There's supposedly a 21st birthday that I should be attending but I really got no mood for it. Maybe maybe, I will. I have applied and received the licence for relief teaching. But I have yet to start sending emails to enquire for vacancies in schools. Some asked me to relief teach Junior Colleges, while some suggested Secondary Schools. However, right now, I am just too freaking lazy to move my muscles thanks to a whole body ache. Haha. The dates of both ICT and IPPT are nearing, and I seemed so unprepared and unwilling to dress myself in green again, despite almost signing an extended contract a day before I ORD. Nonetheless, I am just satisfied being a civilian. Haha. And I am broke. Really. And I should start to relief te...

one week into the holiday

It's roughly one week into the holidays and I am pretty sure all the NTU people are enjoying their long vacation and slogging hard on their holiday timetable. Despite that, the distant smell from the burning of midnight oil due to some of my NUS friends is still distinct. Good luck people. The Taiwan trip was cancelled due to complications and I am rooted here for this holidays. Boredom fills my house nowadays. Apart from the mass shifting out from hostel last week, I barely had other chances to exercise my muscles. Soccer has halted for at least a month or so due to examinations and despite that desperate itch to kick some balls, we can't find enough players to even play Monopoly. I thought I might take a break this time round, but it seems like, some things don't change. I guess I have to start organising events soon. Haha. I am really looking forward to the Eldar one though, although responses aren't looking very optimistic. Haha. Oh wells. Good night people, I shall...
