In Search of Lost Innocence

Messed up. Everything. The inner turmoil within is creating an eruption that I almost can't subdue. Just awaiting the right spark for ignition that will put me into chaos mode. Why?

Finally, a long awaited weekend. Haha. Its been tough dragging myself to work, after that relaxed long weekend I had. Anyway, I met up with Sharon tonight for dinner at Pastamania. I have been eating a lot of Pastamania lately, I can't figure out the reason why though. It was a good chat with her after dinner and we went to walk around to look for some stuffs. Although we were dampened by some bad news, I guess we should enjoy each other's company while it lasts. Its been 4 years plus since I first knew her. We have a lot of experiences to re-live, seriously, we can go on and on talking about the things we did and happened within the class. She asked me one question, whether would I want to go back to the past. I asked if its to re-live the experience, or to change the history. I think those experiences are what that have moulded me into the one you see so far, and I don't really have any big regrets to begin with. But indulging in old memories makes one feel much better. Its going to be a long week. And it has been a lacklustre display of effort at work, hardly find the motivation to work, when you see and hear more permanent staffs resigning. The 7 p.m show "阿旺新传" is quite nice and touching. I don't know why when I see such shows, I then to get emotional easily. Haha . Is this a trait of Virgo? I have been listening to a lot of sad stories recently, and being unable to do anything about it makes me feel even more ' sianz '. Being at a workplace with a typical office layout makes you experience all sorts of weird people, and there seems to be power struggles between cliques everywhere. Gossiping and being a 2 headed snake seemed to be a common sign. It was Good Friday yesterday, and I am sure all of those people in S6B (First 3 months) would agree with me that they enjoyed themselves last night. We had a farewell dinner for both Wai Kit and Christopher last night at Chris' house. Haha. It was the usual electric steamboat and mahjong. Peng Keong brought the electric stove from home, I think we should give him some credit for it, as he was complaining about it being too heavy. Just finished dinner with Khong Chin, Shu Hui and Wei Yen. Haha. We went to eat at the Japanese Restaurant at Marina Square, due to the overwhelming queue at Raffles City. There seems to be a 'Marche-like' Japanese Restaurant at the basement, and apparently, it looks superbly appealing. I heard that the Unagi Rice Bowl cost only $3.80! Was rather tired at work, and I almost decided not to go for the dinner. Haha. I am having a headache now. Every weekend seems to be repeating itself, with regular soccer and basketball sessions ongoing, but I am enjoying every single moment for it. Haha. Getting to hang out with friends, be it sweating it out under the hot sun or getting soaked thoroughly in the rainwater, this is just the companionship that is worth putting in effort for. Its been a tiring week, despite the little workload that I have. Adelene asked us out for dinner, in thought of her appreciation for our appearance at her birthday chalet. I have been thinking of a lot of things recently. In the midst of the recent 'hype', the reappearance of someone similar to Chin Mei brought about recollections from the past. 4 years ago, this was the period that changed my whole life. I can suddenly recall what I was like during that time and I pretty enjoyed my way of life. After Army, some things changed. I have been thinking about what I have lost and gained in army. Sometimes out of boredom and just trying randomly to find some answers to satisfy myself. However, this time, it was different. Talking about my positive takeaways from army, I've gained a lot of skills and experience, like how to manage like a leader and an instructor. I learnt how to work with superiors and colleagues from all levels of seniority. I met all kinds of people, ranging widely from rebellious to obedient and demure to wild. I learn how to endure and accept life as it is, push on, and finally get to taste the rewards of hard work. I learnt how...

It was a rare 'Castaway' outing on a dead Monday. We decided in order to have Kelly go out with us, we must re-arrange our schedules to make everyone available. We went to catch 'Step Up 2 - The Streets'. I was pretty anticipating it, as having seen the previous 'Step Up', I was attracted and impressed by the dance moves and music. So I was expecting much from this. And hey, it wasn't a disappointment in the end, the dance moves were still incredible and in sync with the music. Yesterday was an exhausting day. I went to play soccer early in the morning. Haha. I really played like shit. I don't know why. Can't get hold of the ball at all. Haha. It was super crowded and the human traffic was hardly moving half the time. It was tough making our way around, but end stage we still managed to get our stuff. I got a 160GB external hard disk. Have been 2 days of consecutive Overtime already. Its always this time of the month that I am super busy. Haha. In overall, I am still happy with the work that comes along, moreover I have great friends around. Haha. So I guess it will be at least another 2 months before I leave this place. I am feeling super motivated and determined now. Its been so long since I felt this jolt of energy.

I have been trying to keep my weekends packed with activities, especially sports so that I make full use of it. But I am seriously exhausted today. Despite the heavy rain, we still continued with soccer. Kenny got me a twisted ankle following a robust challenge. Haha. I landed awkwardly on my right foot, and now I have problems walking properly without hurting. However, in restropect, playing Aloysius' friends certainly helps in improving my exposure and skills. Haha. No doubt about it. Wish me good luck, for those who know what I am talking about. Even though it came abruptly, I am hoping the best for everything. It will be a full day of rest for me tomorrow, I guess. Unless some things that has to be done pop up. Please, can you go get a life?
