In Search of Lost Innocence

Finally, the arrival of the highly anticipated New Year. Went to watch Charlotte's Web. Haha.. Its something like a educational show. Not too bad overall. I think its like an Arts Film. Haha.. I guess there will be people counting down to New Year. So have you guys reflect on what you have did for the past 2 years? Almost 20 years of my life. Everything started back at Montfort, where band really played an integral part of my life. I had with me a bunch of comrades, which we named ourselves 'BOB' aka Best of the Best. We endured hardships, shared tears and joys, put in our best to bring glory to MSSB. The Silver Medal and the Esplanade performance are our greatest milestones that we can ever leave in our lives. New friendships formed and so did new rivalry. Little do I know that you, will ever turn out to be like this. My regret was not ending our buddyship in the most appropriate way. Just had a mini S3A gathering cum dinner at Toa Payoh Lor 8.. Haha.. Head down to De Shun's Uncle's 'zhu chao' stall.. 8 person ate for $69 only.. Haha.. Marc, Xie Qiang, Leslie, Marcus, Ho Kong, De Shun and Xiao Hui turned up for the dinner.. Haven't seen Marc for ages.. Haha.. He seriously slimmed down a lot.. I guess training is tough for him.. Haha.. Xiao Hui still looks the same despite having a boyfriend =p Haha.. Shall not 'suan' her so much.. Hmmm.. Will be looking forward to New Year's day where there will be more people turning up at Lim's house.. Haha.. That should be a good start to the new year.. Yeah.. 2007 is seriously full of mystery. Will be heading down to Marina Square tomorrow.. Catching the movie 'Charlotte's Web'.. Haha.. I want to watch Deathnote though.. Maybe I will find Wei Yen to accompany me.. Things are finally beginning to settle down.. I am glad most things are back to normal.. Really hoping for a good year ...

Hmmm.. Finally got out of camp and now into the 4 days long weekend.. Soon, year 2007 will arrive, in about 2~3 days time.. Some people dread it, while others are hoping for the best in the upcoming year.. Hereby wishing all out there, A Happy New Year and may all your wishes come true.. Strangely to say, I find that more and more people are getting more occupied with their lives now.. But I don't know with what.. People are finding less time to catch up with friends and family... Are we really that busy? Or are there too many new responsibilities and commitments that we have to take up? Day by day, we are slowly stepping into the shoes of maturity.. I would say that this applies to most people, if not all.. But in the process of it, are we actually losing some part of our old lives? Yeah.. Its Christmas!!! Haha.. A bit no mood though.. But nevertheless, Merry Christmas to all out there.. Haha.. Went to watch 'The Holidays' with fang.. Haha.. Raining though.. Today is Christmas' Eve's Eve.. Haha.. Organised a S6B class gathering.. I guess it was quite successful.. Woke up at 7 a.m, but went back to sleep as it was too early... Met up with Fang at Potong Pasir Station and went to Junction 8 together.. Haha.. She was late though.. So were the others.. Nonetheless, we reached there to find that Nevin was there already.. Went to NTUC and got the stuff required for steamboat.. Lolx.. Spent around $100 on the whole thing.. I paid for it firstusing NETS.. Haha.. Settled our lunch at MacDonalds' and head to Chris' house.. As usual, it was mahjong at his house.. Haha.. First round and Nevin lost $9.60.. Haha.. Seriously no luck... Soon, more and more people came.. And we started preparing the steamboat ingredients.. Lots of stuffs, including cuttlefish, squids, vegetables, all kinds of balls and all sorts of weird stuff we could think of.. Even otah was one of the ingredients there.. Haha.. Anyway, I picked the otah as I thought it ...

A week has passed yet again.. Its christmas! I guess last Sunday carolling performance was the end of my choir career for this year.. Haha.. I think it was rather fun and enriching that I actually stood in shopping malls and sing christmas carols to passer-bys.. Thanks to both Fang and Leng for coming down to support.. Haha.. Next time I hope Leng will be in the choir =x Haha.. Got a new phone, Sony Ericsson W810i.. Heh.. Happy eh.. On the way back to camp.. Took a cab in which the driver 'hiam' that Sungei Gedong Camp was so freaking far and kept on saying its his bad luck to have gotten a passenger like me. What the hell... I really wanted to punch him, but was rather exhuasted due to the 4 performances.. That loser still wanted to keep the change as his tip to cover his fuel costs for his return trip out. What kind of serivce was that? If you don't wish to venture into that far, so be it.. I won't board your vehicle... Fuming.. Back at camp.... Got a real taste of ho...

Woot... Had my second shot at Carolling today.. Performed at Tiong Bahru Plaza.. Today's performance was much better than yesterday's.. Haha.. I guess its due to the audio-picking devices.. Nevertheless, we performed to a group of more enthusiatic audience.. Haha.. Tired though.. Still got 2 more performances to go tomorrow, or rather later in the day.. 12pm at White Sands and 7.30pm at Century Square.. I thought Weiqi is coming today, but I never see her.. Haha... Met up with Chin Mei and had lunch at Plaza Singapura.. Long time since I last met her.. Catched up quite a bit.. I guess she hasn't change much.. Anyway, thanks for the gift. Will be getting a new phone tomorrow.. Poor people like me need to wait for ages to change to a decent phone.. Haha.. Actually, I am still considering about purchasing a new phone.. I guess I don't really need one now, partly because I am in the army.. Haha.. I also can't bear to part with my money... Well, talk to you people again....

Haix.. Couldn't find a replacement frame for my spectacles that was broken earlier this week.. Was hit by a ball, thanks to Ming Ze.. Seriously, do you really have to play so seriously? I guess it's just my luck. Why can't I be just like other kids? Not to be bothered by adults' matters since young. Why can't I, just go through the easy path? Why do I have to face all sorts of problems that some kids will never face? Talking about being fair, life's never. But if until now, when I got passed 19 years of my life, and I am still grumbling about whether life's fair or not, I guess I am dumb right stupid. What for grumble about something I can't do anything about.. I guess there are positive takeaways from this kind of life that I led. Remain positive. Yeah, that's what I am going to do. But seriously, how long can I do that? And you? Changing comformities is never an easy thing. Step out of your comfort zone. Make a difference.

Wooo...... Another tiring week has just passed.. I ended my Operators' Maintainer Course officially today.. Got a certificate though.. Haha.. After that, went to washing bay and help out with the washing of the tanks that just came back from outfield... By the way, if you people haven't watched the news recently, SAF is importing a new Main Battle Tank (MBT) modelled 'Leopard 2 A4'.. This tank is much more powerful and lethal compared to the current AMX SM1 we are using now... Hmm.. But I doubt I will get a chance to work on that tank.. Maybe when I come back for reservists' training... Today had my first ever choir performance at Century Square... Its an outdoor performance.. I think it wasn't really good but I believe it will get better as days go by.. Was a bit nervy at first.. But I couldn't care much when I cant even hear myself singing... Outdoor performance seriously need a lot of volume.. Anyway, there wasn't a spontaneous audience to sing to eit...

Woot.. Went out for lunch with Zheng Yu and Weiqi.. Quite a weird combination, but at least we all knew each other.. Haha.. Met up at Tampines Mall and had lunch at pizza hut... Couldn't stuff myself anymore with a piece of pizza left, so I tried to stuff it in bit by bit.. In the end, I gave up.. Haha.. Went to walk around after that... Weiqi didn't change much except for her hair and her wearing contact lens.. Still the same old her I guess.. Haha.. I asked Zheng Yu to go organise a S3A Christmas outing.... Hoping to see you people soon... Heh heh..Don't know why, but I am feeling very tired on weekends.. Is it because I tried so hard to cherish my weekends such that I overworked myself? Haha.. The thunderstorm is over, and now comes Heaven. The flower didn't falter, but yet she bloom further. Once thought she would die, but she pulled through and survived. T he clouds came and went, but that was never the end. Bestowed with a new life, pure like a clear sky. Delighte...

Another Saturday at home... Rotting away my precious weekends.. I guess I could well get some rest at home... Yesterday took the trainees outfield for their driving lessons... Phew.. It was really tiring as I had to go round and round the circuit explaining the same things to many trainees.. Haha.. I spent the whole morning in the circuit.. In the afternoon, I was substituted and I got some rest.. Haha.. It actually feels good to be an instructor, but definitely its going to be a tiring job.. Had my first taste of outfield, and looking forward for more to come.. Then at night went over to Ming Wei's house to play Mahjong.. Was dead beat by the time I got home.. But due to the promise I made to Hsien Yeow, I dragged myself there.. Haha.. Super tired.. Reached home today at around 10 plus.. Had choir practice today.. I think I am getting there but still needs quite a bit of practice.. But the performance is next friday.. I hope I won't disgrace the choir... Haha... Have faith in ...

I guess it really takes a long time. It doesn't help, when you can't help yourself.

Hmmm... I just felt I have wasted a weekend... Nothing much was achieved these 2 days.. Went to Yio Chu Kang driving centre to register for Basic Theory Test on Saturday... Ming Wei and I went to look for the centre with Aik Joon's given directions.. In the end, we got lost and have to back track -.- Found the place and got a place there.. In the afternoon, there was choir practice.. Everything isn't too hard, but I am afraid that I might not have enough time to practise.. Will be missing 2 weekday practice sessions.. Hope I can make it for the performances.. Couldn't wake up in time to go to Tampines for soccer today.. In the end, only left Ming Ze, Chok and Aloy reached there on time.. Rushed for cab, for unable to get any.. After 45 mins of waiting, I made up my mind n went home.. Due to that, I failed to make it for Leslie's birthday celebration.. Heh. Happy birthday to Leslie who will be turning 19 on 5th December... All the best for the upcoming year.. Till next y...

Back at home from camp... Trainees have arrived while I am still on course... Learnt quite a few new stuffs from the course.. I am looking forward to the coming year.. Just watched 2 epsiodes of "Tian Wai Fei Xian", the drama currently showing on Channel U at 7pm on weekdays... Watched the separation of the couple in the show, quite touched by their determination to stay together...... But I guess, ultimately its still a show... Haha.. 'Kaypoh' abit.. For those who still don't know.. Xiao hui is attached.. Haha.. I guess its time she found someone to take care of her.. Haha.. Going to register for driving tomorrow.. My goal is to learn get a license by the end of next year.. I guess it will come true.. But whether after that will there be a car for me to drive is another issue.. Heh.
