Today is the last day of work in Apple. A very super busy day today. Because last min need to change alot thing in my backlog project. Stresss..
Quite sad have to leave this place. I love my job. I love coding. Even though sometime is stress due to error. But when solve it, then will be very happy. Haha.
Apple is a big name. Still remember i first time enter this company for interview. Yup. Interview by my supervisor, Adrian. He give me an impression that he is very friendly and not fierce. Indeed, in my whole attrachment never get scolded by him. Just that he alway appear to be very busy. Therefore, i dont really like to ask ques. And super troublesome need to walk a small distance to his desk. Some of time he also not around, abit awkward walking here and there. Sometime i can feel that i am asking stupid ques, when he pop up the answer. When thing cant work due to my careless mistake that he point out in one look, i feel like banging the wall or find a hole to hide. Quite funny.
My manager Jeremy, he alway ask more to speak more and must know more about presentation skill. Still rem last tue, our whole team went for a dinner at bukit timah. All my colleague throw me to sit his car. Wa. Unforgetable experience. Just me and him. Dunno what to say in whole journey. Lucky he manage to find ques ask. But still there is awkward silent in that journey.
My first friend in Apple, Kian Yuen. He is a super talkative and friendly guy. He is also neighbour of Adrian and helping star for me. Cause whenever Adrian not in, he is the one helping me. First day bring me up to my desk. Tell me can listen music during work. Help me when my mac crash and need reformat com.
My ex- neighbour Tom and Jeffrey. I rem when i first time met Tom, he treat me chocolate from US. Think should be my second friend in Apple. Alway will say morning and bye. Sometime will met him on bus, so start chatting with him. Will join the team for lunch if he is in for first few month. But due to my english is poor, communication with him is not that good. Cause he totally cant speak or understand chinese.
Jeffrey also second friend in Apple. He come in around the same time as me. I am just early by him 1 week. haha. So taught him some tip in using Mac. I rem our first meeting,both newbie he and me sit side by side, when go round table and reach him, he say 'SKIP'. Then next is me, i also reply the same. Very funny atmosphere.
My only female colleague in this team, Susan. She is like a mummy to me. Like to talk to her. She treat me also very good.
I definitly will miss the time in Apple.

My Desk infornt of Exit. Totally no privacy, whoever pass by can see what i am doing. Especially morning, lunch and after work at around 5pm alot people pass by. So i like to dim my laptop screen. So i can see who pass by. Because sitting here i learn to be more independent, trying to solve every problem myself.

Tue.
Once i finished my thing and my supervisor step out the office in the morning and not coming back, my macbook started to lag and hang for the whole day. I force restart it at least ten times a day. Just hope that it can be on each time. Luckly it does, that mean i din crash it. Oh well. People alway dont want to backup what they want when they can. Not referencing to myself. Cause my macbook now is other people one, they should take out thing want before giving it to me. Not asking me to get thing out when it is going to spoil. I click 1 thing lag 15 to 20 min. Click more thing 4 times it hang, need to force restart again. So frustating.
Wed.
Another day staring, nothing to do. And worst my macbook cant even click, only mouse can move. So i start to fan other people cause my supervisor is on leave. Of cos i will find my supervisor best friend. Haha. He is quite nice. He find his old macbook and let me use, at least i can surf net. Told my direct manager about it in the afternoon. Actually my collegue that sit beside also very good, cause he did help me to try backup the data.
When i going to leave the office, my manager just come back from meeting, then he saw my black face. Then he ask : " Are you frustated with the computer?". My reply:"Yup".
Thur.
Today i decided if my supervisor did not come i will still reformat the macbook, just get permission from all the managers. And they let me reformat. Everytime attachment will reformat company computer. Last time is window computer. Now is Mac. Haix.

Another week passed. Attachment is stress. Currently still editing other people program, actually is the previous intern one. Alot of file. Alot of folder. Contain javascript, php, html. I still need to understand mysql. The harder part is there are alot file not used. Therefore i dun actually know which file to edit. Stress part is my supervisor dun even bother me. Sometime want to ask him question, he was busy, after that he will totally forgot about me. So sometime i will just fix myself, or do other thing. The only good thing is he let me learn alot thing. He let me do research on something i need to do, after i found the answer, he will tell me another answer which is more efficient.
Today,i finally fix the search problem which i asked my supervisor before, and he also dunno how to fix that time. After 1 month of figuring, at least know how the file link. As well as mysql code did understand more.
This week i also got work on another project, which need to migrate from mysql to oracle. Haix. In mysql it use 1 word, in oracle need afew statement. In oracle, select,insert, create statement is so different. OMG. If use code to link to oracle, i think i will suffer. Actually no if, is must, sure got a project on that. ARrrr.
Oh ya. Yesterday, eat lunch with my colleague and manager. Second time have lunch together. We go AMK hub. So happy. Cause normally eat with my intern friends alway eat at opposite kopitiam, no air-con and alway eat the same thing. Yesterday also have my second meeting. Oh well, it so bored. Basically i dun understand what they saying most of the time. And got pressurize by my manager. Cause my supervisor got at least 6 project to do. Quite alot. Then my manager mention that all the previous intern are quite good, and hope that i will be in the list too. I hope so too... I will try my very best.... =)

Aiya.. I crush the office macbook pro. sob. It was not my first time spoiling thing during attachment. Last time in DSC i alway spoil their card printer. Now in apple, i spoil their laptop after using for 3 weeks minus 5 day of chinese new year off. Actually the laptop start to lag yesterday, start to hang this morning and my supervisor have a small experience of the lagness. Haha. So he is not very surprise when i told him the laptop crush. Haix. Finally got thing to do. Why must crush.
Today i had my first team meeting. My manager is really quite talkative or maybe can say he got alot of update to inform. Anyway quite funny when he speak on certain topic. The meeting suppose to end at 5pm, but in the end drag until 5.35pm. The manager also mention i am the first lady intern, i also wonder why my supervisor chose me. When the manager ask my supervisor whether i am help to him, he say yup. I hope so too. Hopefully i wont trouble him too much. This few day alway alot question to ask. He pass me the job, in the end actually is done by him. Haix.

Mon is my first day of work in apple. Yup. I started my attachment. Got to work there for 6 months. It was only 25 mins away from my house. hmm. It is quite a nice enivornment, quiet and relax. I heard that i am the first female intern in the department. Again i am the only intern in the team. Dunno is it a good thing or not. First day of work, both my supervisor and manager are away. So there is nothing for me to do. Btw i got a old macbook pro to use, of cos is not given to me, just for me to use 6 months.

Finally got my access card with my photo on it. So happy. Dunno y. Just feel that i am really in the company. Got a mini assessment today as he want to test my standard. I really dunno i can do it or not. But i will try my best.

Today done alot of walking and waste alot of time traveling. Went to jurong point today to buy bead. Cause i only know there got sell these thing. So blur of me, i forgot to buy 1 type of bead, until i reach yew tee, so i went back to buy. Lucky i went back buy, as i am really very lazy to go out again tml. Anyway my printer is reaching by tml, so have to wait stupidly at home. As they dun call, i dun even know what time they coming.
Really quite a busy day. Alot of call and sms due to the stupid course register, the module art290. Why cant they just give us. And the stupid year 2 want to fight with us, they can take it next sem, priority is alway given to jc people. So unfair. If we ploy people can take it next sem, we then dun want to fight with you all. Just because we got to do attactment next sem, if really din take need to wait until year 4.
Direct entry for second year, really is stress. Not very good....
