New Releases at Jellypark

I love all of Claire's gorgeous images but this cute mermaid has to be one of my favourites, isn't she adorable?  I coloured her with ProMarkers & this time I thought I'd make an easel card as I'd not made one for a while.  The papers are digi from Jessica Sprague.  I kept the card quite simple as I didn't want to detract from the image, just adding a ribbon, fabric crab & sizzlits cloud/rainbow charm die cut.  I kept telling myself I mustn't forget to put something in the centres of the the flowers in her hair but guess what I forgot until after I had taken the photo lol (they do now have pearl centres though).  There's also a new challenge starting today at Jellypark Friends which is "Girly Girl" if you want to join in (& most of us love all things girly - I know I do!).

The challenges:
Crafter's Companion - Here Comes Summer
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Mother's Day/ Feminine
One Stitch at a Time - Here Comes Summer
The Crazy Challenge - Summer Beach
Crafty Sentiments - Spots or Stripes

I won't be around much until the middle of next week as we're in London for the the (long) weekend :o)  I hope you've all had a good week & enjoy the bank holiday weekend (let's hope the rain holds off).

Sassy Studio Designs at For Fun :)

Hello hope you're all having a good week.  I had a return trip to the dentist this morning but only to take the stitches out which was painless & only took a minute (phew).  Wednesday is usually my day off but unfortunately as we are so short staffed I'm having to work today from 2.30 - 6.30 so I'm trying to fit as much in before then as I can.  Anyway, on to the challenge...
The For Fun challenge this week  is "Black & White + 1 other colour" & sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs & we were give some fab images to work with. I coloured the image with ProMarkers & used some Glaze Drops on the bubbles.  The papers are from Pink Petticoat & the finishing touches are a ticket, some pearls & a flower I made from lace & a button.

Spot the deliberate mistake - I actually stuck the papers & image on the wrong way so had to make the card into a sort of easel type thingy lol
I'm entering this card for these challenges:
Penny's - Happy Birthday
Aly's - Pretty in Pink
Stamptacular - Distress It
Everybody-Art - Handmade Flowers
Cowgirl's - Anything Goes

More Christmas in July!

I'm trying desperately to catch up with my crafting as Wednesday is my day off :) Hubby has been off work after an knee op & he's back to work tomorrow so we went out for the day which was really  lovely but now I'm trying to get all my crafting/blogging done extra quickly (which is almost impossible lol), while trying not to look at all the housework that needs doing.

On to the card - I thought I'd make an easel card as I haven't made one for ages: I used Dovecraft's Contemporary Christmas papers & decoupage which you can get from Donna's Den (I do like those papers & they such a bargain).  I inked the edges with Brilliance gold ink, used 2 different ribbons & finished off with 2 matching brads, a poinsettia, some tinsel & Stickles glitter glue.  I used my Martha Stewart star punch for the border.

I'm entering this card for these challenges:
Charisma - Metal Mickey
Crafty Angels - Circles & Squares
Crazy 4 Challenges - 2 or more Ribbons
Cards for Men - Christmas
Winter Wonderland - Die Cuts
Speedy the Cat - Die Cuts
Creative Card Crew - Die Cuts
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything Goes

Lexi's Animal Challenge

Lexi's Creations challenge this fortnight is Animal themed & our sponsor is Joanna Sheen with a £10 voucher for the winner. Being a DT member I am lucky enough to have the pick of Lexi's gorgeous images & lil Ellie elephant is one of my favs but don't forget you can use any image you like though we would love to see Lexi's images of course.

I printed Ellie on to coloured paper & coloured in her ears, feet & bow with ProMarkers. I used Stickles glitter glue for the bubbles (& the centre's of the flowers). The papers are DCWV Pocket Full of Posies. I haven't made an easel card for a while & it made a nice change (in fact I think the only easel cards I have made have been Christmas cards). The finishing touches are punched flowers, rub-ons (the middle of the flowers & the greeting), buttons, ribbon & a gem butterfly. Why not check out the other DT members blogs for more inspiration & they would really appreciate it if you showed them some love :)

Allsorts - Animals
Charizma - Girly Card with Flowers
Creative Inspirations - Easel Card!

Another Christmas Card!

I started this card at the weekend & managed to finish it yesterday evening but had to wait until today to take a photo (though today is nearly as dark as last night lol). I'm going to be quick as it's been a long day at work & I'm ready for bed. This is the 2nd easel card I've made (oh no wait a minute it's the 3rd) & they have all been Christmas cards. The papers are from my stash, the gorgeous image is by Lexi & is called Sammie Snowman; he's coloured in with Prismas with glitter glue added to his hat. I added lots of diecut snowflakes with gems & finished the card off with a little stamped robin, stamped greeting, brads & snowflake punched border.
