mehehe everything's outta the way already, save that thingy on my list still and the serangoon event this saturday. boy, so fast! the stress and pissed-levels and immense sleepyness this semester like comes and goes and comes and goes, one friggin mad roller coaster ride man (think disneyland with a schoolwork theme).
ok but exams in a little bit. i shall shut my gap and enjoy for now.
& Reach went well, phew! Our very first solo community event, and all the late night music practises and drives home and supper and all were just so worth it, even with the squabbles and the mess. thank god for YouthVineyard, forever and ever amen. :D
& just to show you how mad we get at night ...

Magic & Miracles
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows - completed! and that sums up my long long potter reading fest. It used to be a potter-mania thing with me, answering quizzes, knowing and memorizing books inside out upside down. Haha, primary school til now! Tis been long. (: Anyway I enjoyed it, the darkness and love and mystery and twist of how things turned out, all cept the epilogue, which was very "wth?!". hahah too cliche I guess? But a good end to the potter series nonetheless. JK Rowling is a clever clever woman, methinks, and goodness knows how she thought up all those crazy details. bravo!
And er, a lil out of point for what this entry was meant for, but REACH! is next saturday everyone! so many music practises and whatifs, I can only hope for some boost of confidence now. Never thought I'd do some event like this in my life before, but well, miracles happen. Even if you aren't into praise and mingling with old friends and stuff, ya'll out there, just come give it a shot ok!
Things this past week have made me realize the incredibility of the way God works. Leaving things in His hands beats worrying the crap out of yourself and trying to deal with it on your own strength and ability. Seriously! And the love He showers upon and brings, thats just another amazing thing in itself. (:

From Friday to Sunday,
I went shopping! I queued and tried those famous donuts, yummms. I enjoyed music practices, the drums the music the singing the laughs. I had Almond ah-balling at Chomps. I got myself white skinnies! I caught the NDP preview from the Esplanade, wooot. I celebrated birthdays, tanned by the pool, took lovely pictures, and had a ball of a time making people happy this weekend.
All in all, I got to spend good time this weekend with the people I love wayyyy too much, and I was contented. Time is something too precious, I agree - we've all felt short of it once and again. It might even be something we fight over just to have more of. But the entire world doesn't owe you time just cos you need more of it to be happy. It's what you make of the time you're given, that counts.
Happy 18th, Jamie! I'm glad our paths crossed a year ago to bring us to where we are today. Love you woman! & Happy early birthday to Lionel too, asssss! :D

Lesson for the weekend (thats seemingly been emphasized so much recently): Treasure & cherish, everyone and everything around you. It'll get to the day when it becomes too late to do just that.
And hold on, before it's too late We'll run 'til we leave this behind Don't fall, just be who you are It's all that we need in our lives

never saw this when i was younger, i like optimus prime and bumblebee and those cool-car-good-guys! animation's all so good and fwoah the lead actress is srsly hotstuff man. very worth the watch, i'd say!

weekend reminisce
I missed alot of people so the last weekend was time for some good catch up!
First, Leanna! We went down to Bedok Reservoir together, caught dragonboat races. woooo! cool stuff aiight, methinks its a very cool sport now i've seen it for myself. :D
My SJC classmates next! Aw, 4integrity. haha, its somewhat stunning to realize everyone is moving on to NTU, NUS, going into hostels and about to step into cheem degrees/double degrees of medicine (both western & chinese also have ok!), forensic science, whatever have you. University is 'adult' stuff and they're like all going in there next month already!! sighh. Boy, time really flies and these smart ass friends of mine are just getting smarter. MrTeoh our ol' chem teacher joined the few of us, and as we had dinner we looked back & laughed & caught up, and he told us, "Always cherish moments like these". I wholeheartedly agree.
Well! This was then (2004),
& this is now! lol, big change aye?
Sunday morning with YV! a very long session that turned out to be something to remember, something meaningful indeed. After that retreat we had, I realize it doesnt take me very long now to srsly miss them crazy lovely people; they're second family :D *squishyhugs!
Annndd, Jared! we wenta eat dinner at this absolutely quaint lil place. Everything was jus great - the food, service, price, company, everything!! Ate to our hearts' content, mmm. (: Definately be back there soon again!
