We're SO glad that you've chosen to stop by, and we hope that you'll play along in our FUN challenge. We're blessed to have another awesome sponsor with us, the AMAZING Studio Katia. There's always lots of great inspiration for you here at Word Art Wednesday including artistic inspiration and spiritual/emotional inspiration. Both are a tremendous blessing to us when we allow them to be so. It's my sincere prayer that something you see or read here on this blog will be a blessing and an encouragement to your life. We want only to shine the light on Jesus and to point people towards Him. There are just SO many great truths in God's Word, and we want to explain those truths in a way that will bless people, turn it into art, and share it with others. Thanks for joining us today, everyone. Your creativity is so very inspiring to us all.
The verse from our word art is Proverbs 5:21. We all know that Proverbs are little life lessons. They're "helps" that God has given us to guide us gently into thinking about some of our life choices; and taking the time to look at them in a different way the next time so that we'll make better choices as we grow ever closer to Him. This Proverb reads "For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings". This was originally written, by Solomon, regarding the topic of adultery. But here's the truth we can still see today. It doesn't matter if the sin is adultery or anything else (laziness, covetousness, stealing, lying, etc.) because God sees EVERYTHING. This is recorded throughout the Bible (Hebrews 4:13, Gen.16:13, Psalm 139:1-3, and so on) giving reference to all the ways God SEES us and He KNOWS us (better than we know ourselves). Sin may have pleasure for a while, but it doesn't last. Reality sets in, and the consequences of our sin come crashing down on us. All our same troubles are still in front of us. The ONLY answer is giving our lives, in their entirety, to God and allowing Him the freedom to rule in our lives, in our hearts, and allowing us to turn from the sin that had us so bound. Living for God (with God) is amazing, and it sure beats what this wicked world has to offer us. Remember, "He ponders all our goings" - God SEES everything. I hope when he sees us, He is well pleased.
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computers; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win. We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
