Here is my submission for the week, it is my idea of what summer really looks like. This is the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World. We had the privilege of staying there for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. The cast members there were fabulous as well as the accommodations. I would LOVE to go stay there again some day.

We were so full from the excellent dinner that we only took a few and shared them. What really impressed me was the attention to detail that the chefs exhibited.

My choice for today's photo is from the Disney Social Media Moms conference (you'll be seeing lots of photos from that conference, I took 329 photos)... during one of the events, there were several tables with nothing but CANDY loaded all over them plus the most beautiful centerpieces. We were able to fill up boxes of our own to take back to our rooms with whatever candy we wanted.... I was in heaven!

Weather Report for Disney Social Media Moms Conference

.

I just wanted to let everyone who is coming down to Florida for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference what the weather is supposed to be like.  I have copied the 8-Day forecast from our local TV station Local 6 WKMG so you can see for yourselves:

Things look like it is going to be just beautiful for all of us down here!! I do recommend bringing a jacket or sweater for the evenings, but it has been absolutely gorgeous during the day.  You might want to bring a rain jacket, because you never know when there will be a shower, but we aren't expecting any.  And of course - don't forget your St. Patrick's Day garb for Thursday the 17th!!

I cannot wait to see and meet you all..... Godspeed and safe journey to you all and lets have a blast when you get her.  Please make sure you look for me, I'll be the one in a wheelchair grinning from ear to ear!

I decided that in honor of next week's Disney Social Media Moms Conference I would post some of my photos from past visits to Disney World with my boys:

I'm really looking forward to going back to Disney to see all the wonderful bloggers at the Social Media Moms Conference. I don't think my boys will be able to make it this time because the Army has other plans for my oldest son, Nikolaus, they scheduled some Mountain Warfare training for him during the same time which he is trying to reschedule, but I don't think he'll be able to do that.... and hate to say it, but the U.S. Army trumps Mommy... :)  Plus Nikolaus was little brother, Alexander's transportation down here, so.... it seems that I'll have to wait a little while longer before I get to see my little men again.

EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Information for the Disney Social Media Moms

Since we are getting so close to our FABULOUSLY, EXCITING conference.... AAGGGHHH (sorry about that, just got a little excited), I just thought I'd like to share some of what is going on down here at Walt Disney World during the International Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT presented by HGTV a spring special event filled with Disney character topiaries, a colorful array of flowers, gardens, live music and special presentations. It's where Disney springs to life! The festival is held from March 2 to May 15, 2011.

While all of us spectacular moms and dads are down here, there will be some marvelous HGTV designers discussing how to transform your landscapes and living spaces. Particularly during the conference:

Kim brings her imaginative spin on design and décor to her HGTV series, Myles of Style, where she tackles troubled rooms. She was also host of HGTV's Endless Yard Sale and co-host on Holiday Battle on the Block.

There are also some incredible concerts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the festival, finish off the day at the America Gardens Theatre adjacent to the American Adventure Pavilion. (Showtimes are at 5:15, 6:30 & 7:45 p.m.).  On March 18 - 20th during the conference, the ageless Chubby Checker will be performing. I have seen him perform there over the last 3 years and you wll NOT believe the energy and sound that he still has. What a wonderful show he puts on, if you have the time to see the show, I recommend it, highly!




So while there are all the usual exciting and fabulous things to do while at Walt Disney World, there is this magnificent and gorgeous Festival with so many activities for you and/or your families to participate in.  Here are a few of my photos from last year's festival to whet your appetite:

Disney Social Media Moms Blog Hop

Cindy over at Mom Maven had this absolutely fabulous idea for those of us attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration March 17th - 20th. She has set up a linky so all of us can write up a post about who we are, who is going with us, whether it will be our first time at the event, etc. This way, we will all ready "know" some people when we get there and have begun our social media networking. 

My husband and I live in Celebration, Florida which is just 5 minutes outside the Disney World main gate and we go there quite often using our annual passes. We also were VERY privileged to be invited last year to the Disney Conference last year and had an outstanding, unforgettable time. Which is why we were so thrilled to be able to attend this year as well.  This year, however, we WILL be staying on property because I have always wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian - one of the MOST majestic hotels anywhere, let alone Disney World. We are hoping that our two sons who live in Connecticut will be able to come down to spend the vacation with us - if they can both get the time off from work (they are age 20 & 23) ; they love Disney World and I know they will adore the special features of the convention.

We are so looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful bloggers and their families and cannot wait to learn as much, if not more from the fabulous speakers (like Chris Brogan, who Cindy just informed me is going to be there again - WooHoo!!!).  It is getting closer every minute.... and I'm getting more and more excited!
