Kaya

Kaya thinks she wants to do another pageant.
So we are getting her ready by doing new head shots.

She is still not eligible for the Cinderella Pageant until next year.
She is so disappointed about it.
But, because she won after just turning three she is going to have to wait until she is in the next age division to participate again.

We were told that she can still compete in the state ran Cinderella Pageant.
Not sure we will have the time to commit to that one again this year.
That one is a long two day event.

So we are looking at others in the area to see what is available and when......

Summer 2011

I can't belive summer is over already and that school is in session.
Where did summer go?!?

As you can see Kaya is riding her bike without training wheels.
It took a lot of convincing her that she already knew how.

Dylen spent half the summer at football training camps.
We wanted him to be prepared for this fall in tackle football.

They both got to spend time with fiends around the neighborhood.

Kaya competed in her fifth pageant this summer.
She took fourth, the lowest she's placed.
But she had an amazing time and didn't mind much that she didn't win.
This pageant still gave out trophy's and tiara's to all the participants.

They participated in the Riverdale Fourth of July celebration with the dance studio.
They threw candy to all their friends standing on the sides of the street during the parade.
And later they enjoyed fireworks up at the city park as well as at a friends up the street.

We also spent as much time as we could at Lagoon using the season passes we got for Christmas this past year. After the Fourth of July, Lagoona Beach got to busy to hang out at much. And so we have taken a break from that mess for a while until Frightmears opens up.

Cinderella Pageant

Yesterday Kaya had the special task of giving her title as the Cinderella Tot away to the new winner.

Kaya helped by taking the new contestants up stairs during the interview portion of the pageant.
During the collective judging her and the reigning state tot showed the girls how to turn.
She did a dance for the crowd to help fill time while the votes were being tallied.

Then she took her final walk and help hand out the new titles.

Kaya's Beehive Beauty Pageant

Placed Second and Photogenic.

Throwing the first and only on stage tantrum at a pageant.
She loves to be on stage, but this day she did not inform us until after it was all over that she wanted to keep her pageant dress on underneath her Halloween costume.

Kaya Takes Thrid Place.

Kaya completed her third pageant.
I realized today that I forgot to elaborate on it with all the other things going on in our lives.

She was the only one in her age division to get on stage by herself.
She did great.
Unfortunately, letting her get on stage with out one of us with her may have hurt her scores, in this pageant.
But, she hasn't need me up there.
And I am proud that she has the sense of self and confidence to do it on her own.

Another Pageant for Kaya

Kaya is so excited to be compeating in the Beehive Beauty Pageant next weekend.
This is her third pageant.
This one is a natural pageant. I prefer them. Not so much for the little ones involved.

And then in one month from now she will be competing at the Cinderella State Pageant.

If your interested in coming out to watch her and have her make the audience laugh, let me know.

Cinderella Pageant 2010

Our little princess did it again.
She was able to compete in the Cinderella Pageant 2010 this year.
She competed in the 3-6 age division.

She won the overall queen title in the 3-6 age group.
She also won the people's choice award that is voted on by the audience.

This was a long pageant for her.
It was three hours.
After the crowning ceremony she was invited back later in the evening to be with the older winners.

We took her home to give her a nap.
She was ready to go again a few hours later.
She loved being on stage.

In June she will be competing at the state pageant.
This title also is one that has obligations with it.
She will be doing the 4th of July parade and the Weber County Fair.
And I believe there are many community service's she will be performing during her year as the Cinderella Tot Queen.
