For our Family Vacation this year we went to Lake Powell with the Harding and Williams Families. We rented a house boat and each took our own ski boats. We had a great time! The weather was nice (a little hot, but not to bad), the scenery was beautiful, and there was plenty of fun things to do. We did a little cliff jumping, a little hiking, sliding off the houseboat, playing in the water, and of course playing behind the boat (Skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding). I took so many pictures that I don't want to bore you with them all in one shot, so I might keep posting Lake Powell pictures for awhile. Here is the first batch.

Boat Trouble
Friday evening we all took our boats out to play. In our boat we had me and Wyatt, Sadie, Kamryn, and Kamryn's two friends Austin and Dylan. Derek and Brynli had gone on the Hardings boat. We decided to go exploring some of the canyons. We had gone down Davis Gulch (one of the side canyons off the main channel) when all of the sudden our boat quit. There was no power at all. Wyatt, being the mechanic that he is, tried to diagnose the problem, but to no avail. There were no other boats in sight so we got out the oar and a ski and started paddling toward the main channel. After paddling for quite some time we decided we had better say a prayer and ask for help. After the prayer we continued paddling toward the main channel. I totally felt calm and peaceful and knew that everything would be alright. It was getting dark so we told the boys to try and go to sleep. (Sadie was already asleep, she slept through it all). We finally got to the main channel and tied our boat to the buoy. We figured that we could just spend the night there and in the morning there would be someone to tow us back to the houseboat. We found some dry towels to act as blankets for the kids and got ready to spend the night on the boat. We figured that the others back and the houseboat would be a little worried since they didn't know where we were (and we had a couple of their kids). Wyatt and I were totally calm and ready to spend the night on the boat. The kids were all asleep and Wyatt and I were just about to go to sleep when we heard a boat in the distance. Randy and Mike had come to rescue us. They towed us back to the houseboat. Luckily the moon was bright so we could see a little better in the dark. It was about 12:30 when we finally made it back safe and sound. What an adventure.

Summer Games
Sorry I haven't updated lately. I have been very busy. I have been in and out of town the last couple of weeks and it's not over yet. I'm getting behind on my blogging, so I figure I better try to catch up. I will start with first things first. Kamryn had his first tournament for his traveling soccer team from June 11-14. It was at the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City. Wyatt had to work so I took the kids by myself. I left Derek with Wyatt because they had the Father and Son campout the same weekend. It was a little crazy traveling with three kids by myself, but all it all it was a pretty good trip. Kamryn thought it was great. His soccer team lost all their games, but it was the first time they had ever played together as a team, and they are a young team. They played well together, and they did tie one of their games. They only scored one point the whole tournament. It was in the last game and everyone was so excited that they scored. Kamryn personally played very well. He's turned out to be a pretty good little soccer player. Kamryn's favorite part of the tournament was the opening ceremonies. It was really neat. They had all the teams walk the track together and then they got to sit in the middle of the track. They had all the mascots from Utah there, like the Jazz Bear, the BYU Cougar, etc. Collin Raye was their to perform and they had an amazing fireworks show. I wasn't able to get any good pictures, but it really was cool. My soccer pictures aren't great either. I get so excited watching the games that I sometimes forget to take pictures. Being there with the kids by myself didn't help either. Anyway here are the pictures from the Summer Games.

New Release
Kamryn Mansfield is back with even more action than ever before. The dark flatulent avenger Bat Guy saves the town again. His latest mission: to put the hammer down on One Armed Jack only with the type of twisted ending only Kamryn can dream up. Enjoy Bat Guy 2: Rex Strikes Back.

Splash Park
Monday, we went to the Splash Park with the Hardings. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing in the water, or just playing on the grass (Sadie didn't like the water much). I had a great time too, relaxing in the sun and watching the kids play. It's nice to get away from home and just forget about all the things you could be doing, just really relax. It was good that we went on Monday, so we could get our sun in before all the rain we've had this week. Not really much to write about, so I will just let you look at all the cute pictures.
I think these kids are a little young to be dating?
