There's Magic in the Air!

I'm back with another G45 Halloween card!  I absolutely LOVE this paper!  This particular print had such a lovely sunset glow that I could not resist pulling out some pastel card stock for an elegant Halloween card that requires very little stamping.

The floral cluster includes a dark purple blossom that I edged with black Wink of Stella, layered with shreds of cheesecloth, a beautiful variegated silk ribbon that matches perfectly, a little dotted Swiss (inspired by the paper's dotted border), and a stretched and torn bit of the purple netting that shallots come in!  It looks like point d'esprit lace from a vintage hat!

For the inside I used a sheet of Ink Drops Vivid designer paper. With those swirling colors and splashes of gold (and also of white, that I added inside and out with diluted acrylic paint), it looks magical to me and fits in well with the "Magic in the Air" theme.

Christmas Candy

I am so in love with this beautiful Ink Drops Candy designer paper from Craft Consortium!  This particular print made me think of a sparkling Christmas tree, so I decided to hang a gold ornament on it.

The ornament was stamped with Delicata gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder, die cut, and then colored with pink and gold Copic markers.

The inside is simple, with a verse stamped in sparkling gold ink.

G45 Halloween Slimline

Hello friends!  If you've been around for a while, then you already know that I absolutely adore making Halloween cards!  The colors are so much fun to work with!

It's hard to see in the photo, but this designer paper has a just a hint of purple so I decided to add a few purple accents.  I added black Wink of Stella to the edges of the lilac flower petals to make a floral embellishment that has black twill ribbon, shreds of cheesecloth, and purple jute string.  Look closely and you'll also see some purple "netting."  I have had some of that purple plastic mesh (the kind that shallots come in!) stashed for a while, and this was the perfect occasion to use it.  It looks really cool if you stretch and tear it!

This paper has lots of fun designs that you can use as accents and borders, so I added one of those to the inside.

Here's a closer look.  This sentiment is from one of our All Occasions sentiment sets.

Fall is Coming Super Sale!

Hi friends!  Fall is just around the corner, so I'm here with a card that practically put itself together, and another great Stamp Simply promo!

Shop now to July 31st for Fall stamps, dies, and papers.

This paper pack from Doodlebug has a few printed tags and one was the perfect size for this sentiment from our Give Thanks set.   The tag would make the perfect bookmark, so I gave it a ribbon treatment that would work well for that purpose.

Just a stamp or two, a few quick slices of designer paper, a swipe of glue and a few colors and this card's all done!

The inside has a pop of Fall colors that harmonize with the colors in the designer paper.

Ephemera Queen, May Arts, and Stamp Simply

Today's Stamp Simply project showcases May Arts ribbon, and we're having a sale!

Now through July 25th, May Arts spools are 25% off at Stamp Simply!

I love layering beautiful ribbon colors, textures, and colors...May Arts makes it easy!

The ink blot designer paper has hints of copper and so I used Delicata copper ink to stamp the sentiments inside and out. They're from one of our new floral stamp sets.

I also splattered diluted Delicata copper ink onto the inside and onto the card front because it helps to make the separate elements feel more cohesive.

Christmas in July: Glad Tidings

Hello everyone!

How often does December come and you have yet to start/much less finish your Christmas cards?  Our Stamp Simply team is providing some Christmas in July inspiration, and there's even extra motivation in the form of a sale!

Take advantage of the sale to get all that you need to get started and finish early!

My simple, very traditional Christmas card uses two of our Christmas stamp sets and one die along with some sweet Christmas designer paper by Echo Park.

Inside, there's a silhouette manger scene along with one of my favorite Christmas verses...I can never read it without silently singing it Messiah chorus-style!

Inspired by Tour de France

It's Tour de France (and also Tour de Fleece!) and today's Stamp Simply project is inspired by the race!  This Kaisercraft designer paper is perfect for the biking theme with bikes, chains, gears, etc.

Kaisercraft papers are on sale this week!

This paper pad has lots of printed punch outs so I used one of those and added our "The Sky's the Limit" sentiment for a very quick and easy finish!

Inside I used a sheet of the same lined paper, edge-punched with a notebook punch, for more inspirational words about reaching your goals.

With very little stamping and no die-cutting, this card was finished in record-breaking time but did not skimp on style!

Hope

Hi friends!  Today's Stamp Simply project features some beautiful new Graphic 45 designer paper and a stamp set from our Faith-Hope-Love series.  So often their paper is just too beautiful to cover up and I find myself turning toward a super simple layout with few embellishments, which is, of course, great for a masculine card!

It just so happened that this compass ended up almost perfectly centered on the front of the card, so I decided to put a rhinestone there to draw the eye.

I chose to stamp a single word, HOPE, onto a strip of boardwalk paper and to embellish it with a tiny anchor punched from one of the designer prints.  There's a little loop of silver cording knotted around the anchor in keeping with the sailing/anchored theme.

The inside portrays an image of a safe harbor with a verse about hope from Lamentations.

Let Freedom Ring!

If you're crafting last-minute in the good ole US of A, there's still time to squeeze in one more patriotic card before the 4th arrives! Today's project is a mash-up of quite a few of the patriotic sets and dies that we have at Stamp Simply.

I had just a few scraps of gold mirror card stock left, so I cut out as many stars as I could fit, some out of necessity hanging off the edge of the paper, but they work to frame the flag and really stand out against the darker red and blue card stock.  I love that little hint of gold text stamped onto the red background, not enough to interfere with the focal point, but just enough to be visible if you look closely.

The inside includes stamped and die-cut stars, and a sentiment that brings the rest of the Pledge of Allegiance to mind.

Although not completely flat, this card is squishy and without jewels, so it would be a great one for mailing!
