Buzz Owl & Branch Background - DigiStamp Boutique

Hello everyone :o)

Today's card was for a friend to give to her little girl... she loves owls and pink things!  I used the very cute new Buzz Owl from DigiStamp Boutique, which comes as a set of pre-coloured images with a black outline version too.

I layered up one of the pre-coloured owls onto one of the new Branch Backgrounds and printed it out with an extra owl, so I could cut out and pop up the wings.

The papers are LOTV, as are the little tag stamps.  The frame and flower dies are MFT, sentiment stamp from Clearly Besotted, and I added some Doodlebug enamel dots and buttons from my stash.

Tomorrow it's Morgan's 13th birthday... I have NO idea how he's managed to get so grown up - he's now taller than me!  Both Morgan and Dex have got into roller skating this year, so he decided he wanted a roller skating party, which we had last night.  Lots of his friends came... they're all nice lads, but I have to say, teenage boys are a very odd bunch!  I think they had a good night, but it's really quite hard to tell with some of them ;o)

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening!

New cut files from DigiStamp Boutique!

Happy Saturday everyone:o)  Sorry for the long gaps between posts... it'll probably be the same on here for the rest of the year, but will get things back to normal again next year!

Anyway... today's a bit exciting, because I get to unveil a brand new range at DigiStamp Boutique.  Sally-Ann is now creating cut files for use with digital cutting machines.  Here's one of the first ones that should be available to buy very soon.

This one is Snowy Landscape, cut on my Cameo... I've kept my card very simple and quite flat for posting.  Just a bit of glamour dust here and there for a bit of sparkle, and an MFT snowy background stamp (the white ink is Stampin' Up)... finished off with a sentiment stamp from Clearly Besotted.

This version was cut at just under 6", but I also cut another at around 4" and that cut with no problems too.  My plan was to make a few different ones, but Chester was at the vets being neutered yesterday, and they rang me a LOT earlier than I expected, because he was barking and howling the place down!  So I had to go and collect my very wobbly dog at lunchtime... and there went my planned day of crafting.

I don't usually do this, but while I'm here I thought I'd give a fab local company a bit of a mention.  We're trying to be healthier at the moment... bought a soup maker and we're eating more fresh foods.  I found a lovely family business on Facebook, where you can order fruit, veg and salad (they also have freshly baked cakes and breads, but I behaved and didn't order those... ooh and free range eggs, I did get some of them!).  They deliver straight to your door, and I'm so impressed with the huge boxes of fresh goodies we got, it's great value.  So if you're in or around Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop, Chesterfield or Derby, have a little look at their FB page HERE.  I'm not on commission lol, it's just nice to support good small businesses isn't it?

See you again soon, hopefully... have a lovely evening :o)

Using the scraps!

Hello :o)

I'm finally getting that urge to create back again... lots of ideas buzzing around and no time or space to do anything with them!  Hopefully it won't be tooooo long before all the work's done, and then I'll have a lovely new craft room to play in... it's getting a bit frustrating having to wait now!

I noticed this week's challenge at Less is More was to use 'snippets' for Chrissie's birthday (happy birthday Chrissie!!), and as I had a few minutes spare I whizzed this card together.

This was made entirely from little leftover scraps of paper, mostly Doodlebug... I didn't cut anything, all the scraps were left as I found them.  Even the butterfly was from my little basket, where everything that gets punched or die cut but then doesn't make it onto a card, ends up.  I should do this more often... it was fun and very quick!  I could probably make hundreds of cards and still not get through all the scraps though... especially all the bits of white card.

Off for a quick walk with the dog, and then it's fish and chips for tea :o)  Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening.

Thank You Monkey Kite - DigiStamp Boutique

Hello :o)

I'm still poorly... what started as a cold seems to have turned into a chest infection, but the doctors haven't been able to fit me in so far... sigh.  I'll end up at the walk-in clinic, but I hate being on antibiotics so I've been putting it off!

I still had things that needed making though, so here's one of last week's creations... a thank you card for one of Dex's teachers.

The super cute monkey is from DigiStamp Boutique HERE.

The chalkboard was made with an MFT die set.  Paper Smooches lettering stamped in white Stampin' Up ink, with a bit smeared around the black card for a 'chalky' look.

Thanks for popping in... hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Red, white & blue anniversary

Hello :o)

I have one of my occasional cards to blog today... roll on September (October?... dunno!), when things will hopefully be back to normal here.  I'm panicking slightly about Christmas already, will have to make all my cards in about a month at this rate!

So... this one's an anniversary card for an order, and I took inspiration from this week's challenge at Less is More, where the theme is 'red, white & blue'.  A bit last minute entering, but I got there in the end.

The little birds & branch is from the Silhouette store, cut on the Cameo, with a Doodlebug enamel heart added.  The sentiment stamps are from Clearly Besotted... the 'husband' one was embossed in detail white, the anniversary one stamped in SU night of navy ink... super simple!

Back to the tennis (go Andy!), Lemsip and tissues for me... thanks for popping in :o)

Cute Farm Set - DigiStamp Boutique

Hello :o)

I've been a bit quiet again this week, as I've had a poorly Dex at home... Managed a couple of makes though, so here's one of them.  My annual pig themed card for one of my mum's friends!

I used a ball tool to gently round each of the pieces, and then layered them up with Collall 3d glue so he looks a bit 'padded'.

The cute pig and sign are from the Cute Farm Set from DigiStamp Boutique, and the numbers are Hanging Letters font.

Scrabble Grandad

Hello :o)

So, as I may have mentioned once or twice... ahem... I'm not really making much at the moment.  And even if I do make something, I don't generally like it enough to blog it!

I don't like many of my Father's Day creations this year, and haven't even bothered taking photos of most of them.  This one is a 'makes me happy' design though...

I'm not sure what it is about this one that appeals... it's always the simplest ones that make me happiest though.  I think maybe it's because it's easy to imagine them in different colours, and for different people... I already know I'll reuse this idea for Pav's brother's birthday.

Products Used
MFT rectangle frame dies
Scrabble stamps & matching die (Whimsy?)
All Occasion Sentiments - Clearly Besotted
Memento ink in Espresso Truffle
