Art Bead Scene August Challenge

The August Art Bead Scene Challenge  Is this Inspiration Photo "12 Princesses On the way to the Dance". Art by Kay Nieslen published in 1923.

I went with color, this palette by far has been one of my hardest challenges. I don't often design in these colors unless I am meeting a challenge. My Artbead focal is made of Polymer Clay by Staci Louise Originals.  Such a Large Focal demanded a statement neck chain. I used a Black glass hollow Tube bead. Also featured is a Rare 40X30mm Grey Crysoberyl Cats eye semi precious stone. Topaz orange Agate gemstone, Czech glass flower dangles, crystals, a wire wrapped bail, this necklace has it all. Love the lines from this Polymer focal to the background of Inspirational Photo

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.

ABS March Challenge

This is the Inspiration Photo for Art Bead Scene March Challenge

I realized I had purchased new beads in the theme And color of the inspiration photo from Summer Wind Art on Etsy.    So I chose his bead
Summer winds bead is wood burned and hand painted. It is advertised as a bracelet bead but I wanted a long whimsical Necklace and created this layered piece.

Gorgeous Artbead I immediately loved the soft spring colors when shown in a FB group

Birds and flowers go together so well

The Blue gemstones capture the Blue skies

This is my Tassel so to speak. I added a beaded chain and made a layering Necklace which is attached so I would have one piece to grab and here I am sporting the goods.
The little flower is constantly turning and that is why I put a pretty piece of brass on it.  It is pretty which ever way it lays

Thank you for spending this time with me and my newest Piece. Hop over to the Art Bead Scene and catch all the going on.

Allegory Design Challenge Reveal-Autumn Fire

Welcome to the Allegory Gallery Design Challenge Autumn Fire.  This is the Kit the designers were offered for purchase to accept the challenge. Seed beads, wax linen cord, Vintage Large hole and smaller beads, Gemstone chips, and the mystery component made by Andrew Thornton.

Mystery component photo is courtesy of Ann Schroeder from  BEAD LOVE

So this gorgeous Color Autumn fire an Orange Red and brown blend created great inspiration for me.
I created lots of Earrings:

Short Dangle and drop:

I created these Filigree Brass Cameo earrings in the Autumn fire color:

I Designed this matching Rare Vintage Brass Locket Necklace which can be purchased HERE

Then back to my wire wrapping roots I wrapped this large bead and started playing, I will be back to finish. I will finish wireing (spell check needed, lol) and hang on silver chain a long Necklace.

For this statement piece I wire wrapped beads and created this focal using the mystery component. I mounted it into a Rare piece of Chocolate Brass from BSue Boutiques , wire some coils and beads into the mount also then I worked the neckline for this bold focal.

Using beads from the Challenge kit and a few from Jessie James Beads

Thank s for the visit and please drop a line.

Allegory Mystery Challenge 3

Today is the Mystery Challenge 3 Reveal.  20 designers purchased a Kit without having any idea as to what would be in it. We committed ourselves to create a piece of Jewelry using as much or as little of the kit along with our own private stash. This is the Kit as I am sorting it all out, some gemstone chips, some sequins, glass beads, glass pearl,:

The kit has some large green beads and I realize that I have a couple from a previous kit. Will have to work those into the design.

Lovely Coral Pink with touches of Green and some yellow, and white. The component with the little bird so precious.
This kit is so pretty. In order to make the challenge mine I needed to make something unique like Dawn Gray did in the Luna challenge. I have had the honor of taking a class with the illustrious Polymer Queen Christi Friesen so I am able to dabble a bit.   Dawn Gray, Heather Powers and Teresa Salgado have all inspired me to make a polymer cane and create some Polymer beads for this challenge.

I then created this simple layering Necklace and earrings using my beads and beads from the kit. I wanted to Layer the pieces like Laurel Steven's does.

I created a pair of Shoulder duster earrings for this collection:

Then I made this over the top layering Necklace, attempting to use many of the kit beads and mine. I used my Cane to create a focal with matching earrings.
I added wire wrap to the earrings.  I Love how these earrings came out
The Necklaces can be worn individually or layerd (how do you spell that word, smh)

I love how the sequins look in my charmie dangles on the necklace adding the extra pop of color. With the seed beads that come in the kit, I add Swarovski crystals, brass bead caps for the ends and Walah! create this beautiful bracelet.

Thanks for your visit, please take time to leave a comment if you can and I will see you again soon. To see what others have created CLICK HERE

Luna Moth Challenge

Today is the Reveal of the Luna Moth Challenge sponsored by Allegory Gallery's own Andrew Thornton. I purchased the Kit which includes a premium mix of czech glass(my fav) new and vintage, vintage Lucite, vintage acrylic, waxed linen, jade, wood, swarovski crystals, vintage seed beads, vintage glass leaf dangles, a strand of new jade chips, and a luxury bead blend. A mystery component is also enclosed which is a Polymer focal designed by Andrew.

I created a Parure of Jewelry. Earrings a short pair:
and a long pair. Love the Butterflies in the kit and the New Jade color just awesome.

I don't like matchy matchy, so a coordinating bracelet wire wrapped and brass components added:
And to complete my set a Necklace using Andrew's focal, Jade and glass from the kit, my brass from Bsue Boutiques.
