{Pinterest Easter Sign}

After quite the hiatus, I have now finished with the What Women Want trade show I attended on the weekend of March 16 - 18. I had a fabulous time and met so many great people. I saw some great inspiration for future trade shows and am looking forward to all the fabulous weekends of dance to come...

I find that I love my iPhone and all the great apps I have found...one of those in my top 5, Pinterest!
I love to see all the awesome items people have pinned and created. I recently saw one that I just had to try to recreate...

I follow several blogs and enjoy seeing all the great and usually entertaining blog post...one blog that I find to be highly entertaining with a heap of inspiration is Craft-o-maniac. This is one of my favorite sites with a lot of variety presented to the follower...Should you go over to take a peek...tell her I sent you to say Hi!

Now there was an awesome Easter sign that she created and I wanted to create it without flat out copying it...now my wording is the same and I just used different techniques to pull off the finished product..

Craft-o-maniac's Sign

Below are the pictures of my version. I hope that you enjoy and if you decide to create one of these awesome signs, link back to us and definitely stop by to tell me so I can check it out.

Hope you all enjoyed and are ready to share your version. I look forward to seeing them.

This post has been added to a fabulous linky party and I would love you all to check out the great projects featured in this linky party! Check out Craft-O-Maniac Monday Linky Party

{Snow Friends}

Recently I had been reading some of the great blogs I follow and Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous, created some uber cute snow people...

 Well, I had my daughters birthday party to plan and decided it was going to be the best craft activity for a group of 8 preschoolers.... I mean how hard can it be...

I got my husband to prepare some 6" 2 x 4 pieces and I got my white craft paint and foam brush ready...

I painted each block with 2 coats of craft paint and drew on the two eyes with my Sharpie marker...Grabbed my Mod Podge and another foam brush.

I coated the block, leaving the eyes free of glue, I took some Martha Stewart Fine Glitter and sprinkled the block liberally...and let it dry...

While the glue and glitter dried, I cut some strips of ribbon (since I'm not a sewing able crafter...I resort to my saving grace...Ribbon!) I used the ribbon as scarfs and think they turned out awesome!

Thank you Linda for the great inspiration!

 {Headstand anyone?!?}

 {Snow Friends}
 Well, that's my version of these great Snow People. Hope you enjoy them!

{Love Me Do} Blog Hop

Well it has been a busy weekend filled with birthday celebrations and broom ball tournament and I'm exhausted... While all this weekend has been dedicated to my girls, a fellow blogger has been busy organizing a great blog hop that I will be participating in this month

Jenn from www.LiveTeachCreate.com has been busy preparing us for the Love Me Do Blog Hop. There will be 5 bloggers contributing to the blog hop and it will be Valentine's Themed. Starting January 16 - 20, you will start at Jessica's Blog then hop over to visit Claudia. Another hop, step and a jump on to Jayma's Blog. You will then come visit me here and then one last hop over to Jenn's Blog, only to come back the next day and start the hopping all over again.

I am looking forward to this and can't wait to start creating...

Inspiration Speaks!

I made my New Years Resolution to live inspired this year and I have been inspired today! I have been looking around on the web and came across a blog that really spoke to me today. I happened upon this blog by chance and believe that inspiration speaks!

I went to CraftOmaniac's Blog and read Jen, the owner's, first post...
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ THIS POST first then enter.... winks.........

As a Blogger I get emails regularly, but here and there I get emails that are very touching to me or speak to me. This one is ONE OF THEM. Beverly from Brownies to Rwanda emailed me. She told me how she found my blog and that she loved so many things, and was going to start with  my crock pot creamy chicken noodle soup. Beverly went on to ask me if I would be interested in hosting a giveaway?
 I was inspired from then on....I read a little story of a family wanting to adopt a little girl if that should happen from Rwanda. They design custom jewelry and donate money to Rwanda and the orphans there. I don't read many stories that truly touch a person but you can feel the love this family has from the story they tell.

Please check out Beverly's Blog and follow it. Then go and check out her FB page ETC Jewelry.
I would also encourage you to check out her Jewelry Site, there are so many beautiful items...I have my favorite...

Most of all please live inspired and share this story with others!

Christmas Love being Spread this Year

I know I had planned on posting about something else but I really wanted to share the great Campaign I found on Facebook. It's called the Christmas Love Campaign.
Now you can check this out on Facebook by clicking the link here to the Christmas Love Campaign.
I want to take a few minutes to tell you that Susan K. Weckesser is the owner and designer for Susie Bee Studios, out of Alberta. She founded the Christmas Love Campaign in 2009 and just recently was able to do a guest blog post on Creating Keepsakes to explain the Christmas Love Campaign. I will post a link at the end of all the great sites and blogs that I have mentioned here in this post.

Ok so on with the show...

I stumbled upon the CLC purely by accident. I was so interested in the purpose of this that I got involved at once! Now a person is supposed to spread the love by making little things for others and giving it to them to share the true meaning of this holiday season. It is a great way to bring a smile to a neighbours face or to give the people in your life a sign of your appreciation.

All you have to do is upload a photo with a brief story behind the item and why or who you are giving it to or have given it to and that's it! That easy. You can go and feel a little joy in brightening someones day...and maybe you can win one of the great prizes available....

Susan has been posting little give aways and random draws and I just happened to be a lucky winner...so exciting!!!

So I was so happy when I went to the post office yesterday and picked up my package. It was an early Christmas and Birthday gift in one...lol! So here is what I won...
A Beautiful Handmade Card

October Afternoon ~ Rocket Age Buttons
October Afternoon ~ Daydream Rubber Charms

October Afternoon ~ 5 & Dime Word Stickers
Susiebee Studios ~ Live In Color Paper
Westcott ~ Trimair Paper Trimmer

I was so happy when I opened it up and there was Susiebee Paper...you see I am unable to purchase this paper anywhere locally....:( So to finally get to hold this wonderful paper...(and I will say it is fabulous!!!) I was like a kid on Christmas morning....

I really hope that you all get into the Christmas giving mood and participate in this wonderful event. I will definitely be sending some CTMH goodies for Susan to give away...It's all about giving back this season...or just giving a little something to another. It really goes a long way!

Until tomorrow...

Handmade Gift Exchange Gift

Well I got my gift from the Handmade Gift Exchange today...I'm so excited to share....It is fabulous and Darlene did a great job with really listening to what I loved! Way to Go Darlene! You totally ROCK!

First off, I got this fabulous card...I think she may have hand drawn the tree...
{It is in my favorite color too!}

I then opened this fantastic box...it was a k-cup holder with 4 k-cups of coffee...mm mm!

I opened the fabulous ZEBRA and hot pink box next....{yet another fave. of mine!}

Inside this box was a hand made pendant that she made from beach glass off the shores of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is green but I couldn't get a real great picture...but absolutely stunning!

Last but not least, was this lovely festive bag...

Inside the bag was beautifully decorated wooden letters.

I would really like to thank Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous, for all the work that goes into putting together a swap like this...{Looking forward to June...}

I would also like to thank Darlene from Nova Scotia. She did such an amazing job with all she made and totally went the extra mile. Thank you for the great gifts!

Well, onto my next crafty adventure...

Handmade Gift Exchange

A while back I signed up for this gift exchange over at Craftaholics Anonymous's blog. It was the 5th Handmade Gift Exchange...with over 900 participants...Wow!

I was paired with a lovely lady in Nove Scotia, Canada. She was awesome to create for and I loved every minute of it...

 I created a one-of-a -kind Wood Spool Tree

I used some vintage buttons I had and Evensong CTMH paper.

I also included a couple of handmade hanging ornaments as well...

I really hope that Darlene loved her gifts...

Now for the link to the linky party...
