Mikael Kennedy...

Like most adventures, it is the journey and that in which you encounter along the way that is most likely retained in your memory. Not necessarily where you are going or where you have been. What fleeting moments have you been filing away? Which details have you preserved? I love the catalogued approach of photography by Mikeal Kennedy. Kennedy, a NYC photog, has a vast library of his own so-called happenings, best known for his Polaroid blog: passporttotresspass - love it. However, my first introduction to his work was here {1979} - also love it. Enjoy.

Ye Rin Mok...

If you haven't figured it out already, I like pictures. Images of the everyday, random vignettes and objects overlooked by the ordinary eye. Therefore I present: Ye Rin Mok, a freelance photographer working out of L.A. Her work has been seen in Dwell, Spin, Bust and W. I love the minimalist side of her images and I even enjoy the comedy presented in some. I am inspired to put down my Iphone and pick up my slr...it's been a while.

The Blue Hour...

I have always had a thing for photography. The more uncomplicated and straight forward - the more beautiful and captivating I find it. I enjoy looking for beauty in the common and everyday and appreciate photographers who are able to capture those simple fleeting moments.

I will have to admit that I have a major photog crush on Brian W. Ferry from The Blue Hour. This so-called crush has been in the works for a while now and I thought that today would be a good opportunity to introduce you to his blog. His sense of style is pure - a moment framed with much thought yet in a seemingly carefree approach. Modest, unpolluted and yet personal to the degree where you feel part of the whole.

I do hope you enjoy!

Etsy Photography...

From time to time I find myself enjoying the images that sellers on Etsy use to market their items. Here are a few of my favorites saved from recent cruising.

Lux...

If ever you find yourself in the San Diego area I highly recommend stopping by and taking a peek at the Lux Art Institute. Not only do they have a great line-up of artists in their residency program, the facility is one of the only LEED-certified in the county. Set in a remote canyon {in a Coastal Southern California way} the center unites a residence, studio, and gallery where you can rub elbows with the current artist in residence. For those wanting to venture out this week check out Lux@Night this Wednesday evening, 7-9pm. Hope to see some of you there!
