LF Release Week: Magic Iris Camera Add-On and Pull Tab Add-On

Good morning! It's time for some more inspiration from the Lawn Fawn release week! We're sharing a really fun product today - the Magic Iris Camera Add-On and Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On!

These dies can be paired with the Magic Iris die to create an interactive camera, but I used the pull-tab add-on to have a surprise picture pull up at the top. I started this card by using the camera add-on dies to create the camera with Fog cardstock and Spring Fling patterned paper. I added a sentiment with the Scripty Friends die cut from shimmer cardstock. The embossed sentiment is pieced together from stamps in the Happy Happy Happy, Happy Happy Happy Add-On: Family, and Jump For Joy stamp sets.

I used images from the Mermaid For You stamp set to create the picture. I glued it behind the picture frame, and cut off the edges. To create the interactive pull-tab, I used the short line die in the camera pull-tab add-on die to add the slit to the top of the camera. Then, I used the piece that cuts out the tab and the longer line die to cut the gray patterned paper for the background. Using the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On die, I die cut the slider piece, folded it, and inserted it into the long slit in the gray patterned paper. Then, I flipped the patterned paper over and secured the pull tab with the holder piece that is also in the Let's Toast add-on die. I attached the picture frame to the pull tab with double sided tape. Then, I added foam tape to the corners of the camera die, carefully slide the picture into the camera slot, lined up the camera on the patterned paper, and attached it to the background. I finished by  attaching the panel to a white card base, trimming off the extra paper on the pull tab, and glued a arrow on the top of the tab.

Here's a short video to show the camera pull-tab in action. It would be so fun to add a real picture to the frame for an extra special surprise!

We Mermaid For Each Other Card

Hi everyone! I have a card to share with you today that was inspired by the Day 7 class for the Spring Card Camp 2 class by Online Card Classes. The lesson was about vellum overlays, so I used pearlescent vellum to create this underwater scene.

I started by ink blending the background with distress oxide inks. I used Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch inks. Then, I lightly ink blended a piece of white cardstock with green and yellow inks, and die cut it with the Bayou Backdrop die to create the first layer of seaweed. Then, I used that die to cut a piece of the pearlescent vellum, flipped it over so that the back side was facing up, and attached it to the other seaweed piece. I flipped it over so that the seaweed looked staggered at the bottom. I used double sided tape and attached the seaweed to the bottom of the ink blended background.

Then, I stamped and colored images from Mermaid For You and Fintastic Friends and attached them to the scene with foam tape and glue. I stamped the sentiment along the top in black ink and finished by adding a few hearts stamped in Wild Rose ink. Here's a closer look at the card to show you how neat the seaweed looks with the vellum layer on top:

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you all have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Stud Puffin

Hi friends! I'm back again to share a card featuring the new Stud Puffins stamp set from Lawn Fawn! How cute are those puffins?!

I used the puffins to create this fun scene! To help create the scene, I used the Stitched Mountain Borders, Grassy Hillside Borders, and Stitched Hillside Borders cut from white cardstock and ink blended with Distress Oxide inks.

The puffins are all stamped onto white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I also added a few rocks from the Mermaid for You and You Are Sublime stamp sets. I wanted to make the sentiment big and bold, so I stamped the first part with black ink, and cut out the puffin letters in black cardstock with Finley's ABCs die. I finished the card by adding a few hearts cut with the new Heart Shaker Gift Tag and a frame cut from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die.

There's more inspiration over on the Lawn Fawn blog, so check it out! Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

CardMaps Sketch

Hi everyone! Can you believe that it's already August?! Where has the summer gone? We're trying to fit in a few more family activities before the school year starts again! Do you have anything fun planned for the rest of the summer?

This month, the Lawn Fawn team partnered with PageMaps to share some card sketch inspiration! You can find a full list of cards under the CardMaps tab. I used the sketch shown above to create this card:

For the background, I inked a piece of white cardstock with Mermaid, Fish Tank, Walnut, and Doe ink. Then, I used the Stitched Windy Backdrop to make the background look like waves, and also the Stitched Outside In Circle Stackables to frame the sentiment. The images are from Mermaid For You and are all colored with Copic Markers. I added some bubbles stamped in Fish Tank ink, and a few blue embellishments that I had in my craft stash.

Thanks for stopping by! And if you're ever stumped on what to create, check out the different sketches available on the PageMaps page! :)

Quick and Easy Sticker Activity Scenes

Hi everyone! I have a quick and easy project to share with you today that combines Lawn Fawn and Xyron adhesive products!

I used the Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker to create a sticker activity scene for my 3 year old daughter! She had so much fun choosing where to put the stickers on her scenes, and she was so excited to mail them to her grandparents when she was finished!

The scenes are cut from white card stock and blended with blue and green inks. To make this project even quicker, you could use colored or patterned card stock.

I left the stickers for each scene on one long strip from the sticker maker so that my daughter knew which stickers went with each scene. She said her favorite was the Mermaid For You scene!

The two other scenes feature critters from the Critters In the Jungle and Meow You Doin' stamp sets. My daughter had so much fun with this little activity and it was so easy to put together! This would be great to send to a child in the mail or even hand out as party favors at a kid's birthday party!

Thanks for stopping by! There is more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog this week as the design team shares projects featuring Xyron products (and there is a giveaway, too!!).

LF Inspiration Week: Slide On Over Circles

Hi everyone! Today for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, we are taking a look at the new Slide On Over Circles!

Slider cards are a lot of fun to make, and even more fun to send to a friend! For this card, I used two different sized circles to create an underwater birthday card with the Mermaid For You set.

My favorite part of this card is that the fish can "hide" behind the rock! To create the background, I used Fish Tank, Mermaid, and the new Minty Fresh ink. The sentiment is from the Year Two stamp set.

Stop by the Lawn Fawn blog to see more projects featuring the new Slide on Over Circles and enter the giveaway, too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great Monday! :)
