I Love Hanging With You!

Hi everyone! I hope that you all have a nice weekend. I enjoyed some extra time with my husband this weekend (thanks to the snow day on Friday!), enjoyed a friend's birthday party, and enjoyed watching my daughter walk!! She took a few steps a week ago, but she is getting really quick at it now!

Anyways, I have a fun card to share with you this morning that I made for the Lawn Fawn blog today!!

This card features some of Lawn Fawn's newest products, "Critters in the Jungle" and "Flirty Frames," (and their coordinating dies) as well as some older stamps, "Smitty's ABCs" and "Love You S'more," for the sentiment.

To create this card, I first added some blue and green ink to the white card base. Then, I used the Critters in the Jungle dies to cut a bunch of grass, leaves, and bananas from patterned paper and adhered them to the card base. The monkeys are cut from both brown and light brown card stock. To get the monkey facing the other way, I first die cut the monkey from brown card stock, then flipped the image over, and mirror stamped the monkey on the back of the cut out. For the sentiment, I first stamped the frame, then the "Hanging" to make sure that it was in the middle. I had to do a little bit of partial stamping to get the rest of the sentiment, but that wasn't too difficult. Then, I die cut the frame and attached it with foam tape.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by, and thank you Kelly Marie for featuring my card today on the Lawn Fawn Blog! I hope you all have a good day! :)

Thinking of You

Hi everyone! I hope that things are going well with you all! It is still so, so cold here and they're calling for a few inches of snow today! Brr! How much longer until spring?!

I have another card to share with you for the current Avery Elle Challenge!

Here is the card:

I did a bunch of masking for this card! First, I masked lines on the card base and used brown ink to create the stripes. Then, I used some scrap paper and make masks for the fox, bunny, grass, and clouds. Once I had all of the images stamped, I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils. After I colored the fox and bunny, I used my white paint pen to add some dots!

This card features Avery Elle's  "More Stories" and "Look Up" stamp sets. I also used Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Jourrnaling Card" to help make the scene stand out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a good weekend! :)

Colorful Birthday

Hi everyone! I hope that you're have a good week so far! It has been so, so, so cold here! With the wind, it felt like -20 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday morning! Brr! We definitely stayed inside yesterday!

Anyways, I have a fun card to share with you for the current Avery Elle challenge, which is all about masking! Here is the card that I created:

This card features Avery Elle's "Brushed" and "Look Up" stamp sets. I started this card by stamping the sentiment onto card stock and cutting it out to create a mask. I lightly taped it to the card base, and then I stamped the feathers over top of the mark. Then I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment onto the card base. After I had everything stamped, I colored the feathers with Prismacolor pencils and I made sure to leave some space around the sentiment. Here is a close up:

I really like how simple and cute this turned out. I'm sure that a friend will really like this for their birthday! Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Lawnscaping #100 - Birthday Celebration!!

Hi everyone!! Today is a super special day because it is Lawnscaping's 100th challenge!! We are all so excited and we wanted to celebrate in an extra special way, so each of the girls on the design team invited a special party guest to play along with us today!

The theme is birthday/celebration! Like I mentioned above, each of the girls invited a special guest to the party, and my guest is Allison Patrizio!! She is so sweet and I'm so glad that we've become friends through crafting! She always creates the cutest scenes for her cards, and she definitely did that again for this card! Here is the card that Allison created for the party:

Isn't that birthday scene just adorable?! I really like how she added the smaller whale to the scene and all of the birthday hats on the critters! And the detail that she added on the bubbles is such a cute idea! Be sure to stop by her blog to read more about her card!

And here is the card that I created for this challenge:

I have really liked the look of inlaid die cutting, so I wanted to give it a try! It's so easy and super fun! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific," and "Happy Everything" stamp sets, as well as the "Hearts" die cuts and silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings. I started by die cutting a bunch of hearts on the white card stock panel. Then, I die cut a bunch of hearts from different patterned papers. To get the hearts to stay in place, I used a little bit of tape on the back of the card stock so that they don't fall out! Then, I finished the card by adding the sentiment, twine, and some sequins. I really like how it turned out!

Don't forget to stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team and their guests created for this challenge! There is a TON of inspiration on the blog this week and I really hope that you'll be inspired to play along! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn (and it's perfect timing since the new products will be released this week!!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good day! :)

Love You Beary Much!

Hello again everyone! I hope your week has been going well! It's almost the weekend - woohoo!

I have another card that I wanted to share with you before Valentine's Day!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Violet's ABCs," "Bugs and Kisses," and "Love You S'more" stamp sets, as well at "Scripty Love" and "Stitched Circle" dies. I started by die cutting a circle from white card stock and using distress inks to create a scene. To get the bear facing the other way, I first die cut the bear from white card stock, flipped the die cut over, and mirror stamped on the back. That way I can still use the dies with mirror stamping! The bears and hearts are all colored with colored pencils, and the "love" is die cut from glittery paper. Then, I adhered everything to the card base, stamped the sentiment, and finished by adding dashed lines around the scene.

Well, thanks for stopping by! Do you have anything fun planned for Valentine's Day? I'm not sure what, or if we're doing anything yet, but whatever we end up doing tomorrow will be fun together as a family! Have a good weekend! :)

Love, love, love!

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well! Sorry that things have been quiet lately, but there have been a lot of things going on here. My father-in-law recently received a double lung transplant so we have spent a lot of time in Pittsburgh with him. We are so thankful that things have been going well and it seems like he may be discharged soon! We have been praising God and trusting Him during this entire situation!

Anyways, I want to share some Valentine's Day cards with you this week!

I really like how quick and easy this card was to make! I used Lawn Fawn's "Scripty Love" and "Hearts" dies, along with four different shades of pink card stock. So easy, and quick! I might have to try this card again with different colors!

I am also entering this card into the current CAS-ology challenge, which is all about love this week!

Well, thanks for stopping by and you'll probably start seeing more projects from me soon! :)
