Like I Said...Jack Layton is Full of Sh#t!!!

Our good friends over at Politics is Local tipped the canoe that we were going to sink the Dippers in today over at their blog this morning. Yesterday I hinted that Jack was full of it.

Here's Local Grit's post. It's a beauty.

Layton Promises What Liberals Have Already Delivered

Jack Layton is trying to prove that his party's victory in Outremount wasn't the combination of random forces unlikely to repeat themselves. To this end, he is promising Montrealers cash for their transit system. One problem Jack. Liberal leaders have already done what you are promising to do. A Liberal Prime Minister already gave one cent of the gas tax to cities for transit. A commitment that would have been made permanent had Mr. Layton not brought down the Martin government in the fall of 2005. The rest of Jack's money is going to come from a cap and trade system set up by a pair of Liberal premiers. Tomorrow look for Jack Layton will promise to start the Canada Pension Plan, repatriate the Constitution and eliminate the deficit of the early 1990's.

As I've been saying over and over again, the Dippers continue to attack Liberals because they have no plan of their own that's worth a flying fiddle.

Another Reason Jack Layton is Irrelevant

As you all know by now, Mr. Layton suddenly rolled out his election platform on Sunday. You know, the one with the referendum on the abolition of the Senate of Canada. That one.

Well, during Smilin' Jack's earth-shaking announcement, he states: The referendum would not be costly, Layton said, because it could be held in conjunction with the next federal election.

More proof the man has no clue about the economics of government.

Ontario just had a referendum on another ridiculous change to the way we form governments in this country. The cost of that referendum in one little ole province? $8.48 Million. That's Eight point Four Eight Million Dollars (CDN)!. Now, I'm not going to try and play mathematician, but that would be somewhere around what, 34-36 Million Dollars for the whole country to participate in a referendum...simultaneously with the election I might add.

Apparently Jack feels $33 million is "NOT COSTLY".

Jack Layton...Mr. Irrelevant

Yes Jack. We'll all just hurry for a referendum on the Senate. While we're at it we'll just throw away the entire Constitution.

Jack and Gilles Went up the Hill

If Jack wants an election so bad, he and his buddy Gilles should vote in favour of the Liberal amendments to the throne speech. That would piss his Imperial Dictator Supreme Stevie Harper off.

What the Hell is Jack Talking About?

Geez Jack. What an absolute whiner you've become. What could the NDP possibly have to gain from an immediate election? They stand to lose 10 seats (the amount they "borrowed" from the Liberals last election). Mulcair would be one of them with a higher than 35% voter turnout in Outremont and a different Liberal candidate. Olivia Chow just might be one of them as well.

With the help of Jack, the Conswervatives managed to topple a Martin government thereby killing everything Jack thinks he stands up for. Kelowna, Kids, Kyoto. Now he's shouting at the Liberals to bring down the CONS. It's all their fault. Newsflash Jackie boy...It was you!!! Remember?!? The Canadian voter will Jack.

Why isn't Jack attacking the real culprits? As part of the opposition, shouldn't he be attacking Stephen Harper and the Conservatives? Didn't Harper just say the Clean Air Act and Kyoto are gone? Things the Liberals stood for. Jack, my suggestion is watch your own left. Ms. May's coming to get you, and it's sooner than you think.

Anyway, I'd like Stephane to call him on his bluff and call in his borrowed votes from the last election...but cooler heads will prevail...for a little while anyway.
