DeNami May Blog Hop: Sky's the Limit!

Welcome to the May DeNami Blog Hop:  Sky's the Limit!
I'm first on the hop! If you get lost along the way you can always check the DeNami Blog for the list of participants.

As always, I feel the hardest part of making a card is choosing which stamps to use.  Sky's The Limit works for insects, balloons, birds, rainbows, clouds, hot air balloon, rockets, airplane, helicopter etc... I'm lucky enough to own all of those!  I narrowed it down to this pretty set of butterflies. Fancy Flutters is a cling set, all 5 of these stamps are included. I stamped them each on to cardstock vellum using versamark ink and white embossing powder.
I layered the butterflies onto some older basics grey 6x6 patterned paper,. and added some PPP sequins

Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

Paulina at Pretty Pink Posh is hosting a FUN blog hop -- Sequin Shaker Cards!!
My parents have been in town for almost 3 weeks, so I didn't think I was going to get a chance to participate, we've been busy!  They left this morning, so I squeezed this card in.

Mothers Day is in a few weeks, but it's always a busy week at my house.  My son and I both have birthdays the week of Mothers Day.  This card is for my mom, she likes pink!  I used the spring time mix sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for my shaker card.    The Mom sentiment stamp is from DeNami.
Hope you are inspired to break out your sequins and make a card!

DeNami April Inspired By....Barb!

Barb made this gorgeous card. You can see the full post HERE.

So, I was challenged in many ways on this card, but I loved every second of it.  I normally don't "tilt" any of my paper, use vellum, tie twine around ribbon, etc. etc.  I love that this card helped me get out of my comfort zone.  It's still way more simple than Barb's original card, but I was inspired in many ways... which is the point.  I used 2 stamps from the whimsical garden set.  The 1st is easy to see, flower stamped onto the white tag.  The other is the dotted circle I stamped on the yellow paper.  You're the best was stamped & embossed in white onto the vellum.  I didn't like how the sentiment didn't show much, so I colored the back of the vellum with a pink copic.  Added some pretty pink posh sequins, twine, and ribbon.  So FUN!  I really wanted to add the doily, but it would have covered up the pretty patterned paper so I left it out.

DeNami April Blog Hop: Buttons and Bows

DeNami April Blog Hop: Buttons and Bows!
Two of my favorite things!
You should be arriving here from Rachel's Blog. If not, go to the DeNami Blog.

I was 100% Inspired by this card made by Lynn.  I stumbled across it on Pinterest and I couldn't imagine anything better to do with buttons and bows, so I totally CASED it!  Thanks Lynn for the gorgeous card!
I did my best to change it up a bit and make it my own, just barely.  I found a piece of patterned polka dot paper and embossed it using the Circle Interlock Embossing Folder.  I taped a piece of ribbon flat down the center. I strung buttons onto some twine using a dental floss threader - BEST WAY EVER!  Tied the floss in a knot on the back.  Tied the ribbon in a big bow and used ATG tape to stick it down.  Happy Birthday was stamped in Grey onto the cardstock base.  It was SO easy!

Your next stop on the hop is LINDA.  Make sure to leave her a sweet comment and one on every step along the way - you have a chance to win a DeNami Gift Certificate.

DeNami Product Spotlight: Happy Easter

DeNami Product Spotlight for April is the Happy Eater sentiment.
It's a timeless font and can be used for many years to come... plus it's 10% for one week!

I stamped the Happy Easter using 3 different colors of ink onto some scrap grid paper.  I mounted each one on a matching piece of cardstock.  I dug through my Easter stamps and stamped the bunny from the cuddly pals set, sheep, and Easter chickie in black and colored with copics. They are layered onto circles and foam taped up.    Pretty patterned paper made it quick and easy! Have fun making your Easter cards, you only have a few weeks to go!
