DeNami Blog Hop: Bright Blossoms

You should be arriving here from Greta's Blog.  If not, start at the beginning of the hop by going to the DeNami Blog.

I used the whimsical wreath stamp as my "Bright Blossom" for the hop.  I always try to use a stamp someone else might not use, so we can showcase LOTS of DeNami stamps!   The summer flower leaves set was stamped in green and colored in with a copic marker. I added some big buttons to the center and twine, that's it. Easy!
Make sure you leave them both a comment, and one one every stop along the way. You have a chance to win!

DeNami April Inspired By....Barb!

Barb made this gorgeous card. You can see the full post HERE.

So, I was challenged in many ways on this card, but I loved every second of it.  I normally don't "tilt" any of my paper, use vellum, tie twine around ribbon, etc. etc.  I love that this card helped me get out of my comfort zone.  It's still way more simple than Barb's original card, but I was inspired in many ways... which is the point.  I used 2 stamps from the whimsical garden set.  The 1st is easy to see, flower stamped onto the white tag.  The other is the dotted circle I stamped on the yellow paper.  You're the best was stamped & embossed in white onto the vellum.  I didn't like how the sentiment didn't show much, so I colored the back of the vellum with a pink copic.  Added some pretty pink posh sequins, twine, and ribbon.  So FUN!  I really wanted to add the doily, but it would have covered up the pretty patterned paper so I left it out.

DeNami February Inspired by.... Stacy

February Inspired By is this pretty card made by Stacy.  You can see Stacy's original card by visiting her blog. Make sure to share your creations with us.  Visit the Inspired by... portion of the DeNami blog.

I loved Stacey's original card so it was super easy to re-create one for myself. I love purple pansies. I stamped the pansy garland at at angle and colored in with copics. I stamped Happy Birthday in black and then went over it with a marker. Added some layers of lavender & purple cardstock and some pretty sequins.

DeNami Polka Dots Blog Hop

Welcome to the DeNami Blog Hop -- Polkda Dots!!
Hopefully you are arriving from Barbara's Blog, if not start at the beginning of the hop by visiting the DeNami Blog.   Everyone loves Polka dots... right!?

I really wanted to ink up the new sunflower image, so that is where my not so typical color combo came from.  I added some green leaves and Hello Friend sentiment.  White embossed polka dots are perfect for the theme this month.  Perfect little greeting for a friend. Card measures 4 1/2 sqaure.

Your next stop on the hop is to visit Linda.  I'm sure she has something DOTTY and FUN for you! Make sure to leave her a comment, and every blog along the way.  You have a chance to win a DeNami Gift Certificate!  Have fun hopping.

DeNami Summer Garden Sneak Peek!

It's time for you to see the new Summer Garden stamps from DeNami!  There are lots of pretty new designs so make sure you visit Pattie and Lisa to see what they've created.

I didn't know exactly what to do with the pansy bouquet until I saw this pretty Scroll embossing folder.  It fits perfectly inside.  I embossed a purple and a white piece of cardstock and hand cut the white piece so I could stamp on it.  I added the hang in there sentiment under it and tied twine around the white paper before I adhered it to the purple cardstock.

I used another embossing folder on this card - the picket fence.   I stamped the small sunflower repeatedly across the white cardfront.  I used a black marker to extend the flower stems so they are varied sizes.  Sending you sunshine is a great sentiment to use -everyone could use some sunshine!

This is my favorite card, but I just couldn't photograph it!  I stamped an image from the Summer Flower Accents Set with Versamark ink onto the Vellum.  I embossed it with white powder and colored with copics on the backside of the vellum.  Wishing you a day filled with Happiness is a new sentiment, and I love it! Sequins, twine, and ribbon finish it off.

DeNami Pin-spired Project

Are you Pin-spired by the photo? I hope so! If not, head on over to the DeNami Blog - the cards will knock your socks off!

I was slightly intimidated and didn't know where to start on this project. I loved the photo, but then I was scared when I saw photos of my fellow design team gals creations!  I didn't think I could come anywhere close. I tried!
I stamped the elegant floral wreath 3 times onto the aqua cardstock.   I colored in with copics. The white cardstock was stamped with the 3 line border and cherry pink impress ink alternated with orange washi tape.   7/8 hot pink grosgrain ribbon was tied around the card front.  I  thought I should add a sentiment, but my daughter said it was pretty the way it was.... so I left it.

DeNami ELEGANT Sneak Peek

It's an exciting time! Sneak Peek Time at DeNami!
Hopefully you are following along with all of the fun at the DeNami Blog.

My 1st card showcases the gorgeous peacock feathers! Aren't they stunning? I stamped them using a black memento ink and colored with copics. I went back over them with a quickie glue pen and some extra fine glitter to give them some shine.  Thank you stamped in black onto a white cardstock strip.  I tried to make a perfect line with my marker, it was a near fail, but I'm going with it anyway.

The next two Christmas cards actually use the exact same stamp, I just used it differently to show how versatile it is.  The most common way is to stamp the entire image onto white cardstock like I did below.  The above card just uses the floral image and I left off the sentiment.  I was able to mask a different Merry Christmas stamp and stamped it in red onto the white cardstock.  Added some twine and rhinestones.

How pretty are the new solid leaf images? They are BIG CLING images and stamp out so beautifully.  I chose to stamp them in fall colors and added a thinking of you sentiment. This could easily be used as a Thanksgiving or fall card if you choose.  The sentiment fits perfectly into the new Elegant Word Plate -- another one of my favorites!

I know, I always say that I love the new stamps, but I REALLY do love the new DeNami stamps this season.  Anyone have a favorite?  They are all so pretty and what a versatile and unique collection! Chickies, leaves, Christmas, Elegant, florals!!

Craft Dash Challenge #20

I can't believe Paulina is hosting her 20th Craft Dash!
Colors: Hot Pink, Tangerine, Gray
I completed this card is 8 minutes and 38 seconds.
I spent half of that time messing around with adhering the sequins.
Next time I will use crystal lacquer to attach them!

I stamped the chevron border at an angle using grey ink.  I stamped the medium solid and small solid hibiscus flowers onto white cardstock and cut around them quickly.  I used foam tape to pop them onto the card quick.  I stamped the sending you sunshine sentiment using grey.  This is my 1st time using sequins.  I've seen Paulina do some amazing things with them!  I'm hoping I will get the hang of it soon.
Sequins purchased from Avery Elle using my gift certificate I won previously - thanks to the Craft Dash & Paulina!

Challenge runs from Wednesday, June 19- June 29th.
Prize: $20 DeNami gift certificate

DeNami FRESH FLORALS Blog Hop

Welcome to the DeNami MAY Fresh Florals Blog Hop.  You should be hopping from Jennifer's Blog.  If not, feel free to start at the beginning by visiting the DeNami blog.  Make sure you leave a comment on EVERY Blog for a chance to win a DeNami Gift Certificate!

I struggled with the theme of this hop -I have too many Floral DeNami images that I love!!  Choosing one was nearly impossible.  I tried to pick one I thought not too many people would use.  I chose the rosebud trio stamped in grey onto white cardstock.  I colored the flowers in with copics and added crystal lacquer to the flower portion.  I roughed up the edge of a piece of green patterned paper and adhered it to the bottom portion of the card.  I tied some twine around the card to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by,
your next stop along the hop is to visit Barbara.

Easy!  Colored in with copic markers.  I added  an additional piece of white cardstock stamped with Mother to cover up the stems.

CARDS Blog Color Challenge

These gorgeous colors are for the CARDS Blog Color Challenge!
DeNami is sponsoring the PRIZE -  go check out all of the details!

You can't go wrong with this color combo!  I did seem to pick a more orange toned coral color, but hopefully it is close enough to the swatch above.
I wanted to use some of my new ribbon that I bought from Little Free Radical.   Thanks to Paulina I found this gorgeous ribbon at a great price and purchased it from an awesome seller that shipped it ASAP.
I stamped the garden bouquet stamp  onto white cardstock using Memento Ink.  I added the hello friend sentiment to a K & Company Adhesive note strip.  Embossed the PTI Hawaiian Shores cardstock using a SU embossing folder.  Added the ribbon, colored in with copics, 1 strip of PTI coral cardstock, thats it!

This card is also for the Retro Sketch #62.

10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #16

WOW! I didn't know Paulina was on her 16th Challenge!
I always love her challenges, just seems like time goes too quick and I don't get to participate as often as I'd like.

I purchased this fun chevron print paper at Michaels last week.  My mom was here and we had a blast wandering around the aisles.  I got a whole multi pack of colors, so I'm sure you will see this again!  I use this hibiscus stamp often, hope you aren't sick of seeing it.  I added the Hello Friend sentiment and stapled it on with a purple staple.  It was a dash today -- I completed this is 5:22!

DeNami Photo Tutorial - Pearl Pens

I shared a Photo Tutorial using --PEARL PENS-- on the DeNami Blog.  Here are two other projects I made using the pens.  It's similar to crystal lacquer, but it is colored and the pen has a very fine tip so you can make  polka dots like I did on the bookmark and card below.

DeNami Pretty Pastels BLOG HOP

Welcome to the May DeNami Blog Hop: Pretty Pastels!
You should be arriving here from Nicki's Blog. If not, you can start at the beginning by visiting the DeNami Blog.

Pastels are not normally what I gravitate too, so this was a bit of a challenge. Pink and lavender seemed to be an easy color combo... so I went with that!  I stamped the large hibiscus stamp in lavender and pink onto the white cardstock base.  The Rectangle scalloped frame and Happy Belated Birthday was stamped onto pink cardstock and layered onto a PTI diecut shape. I added extra fine glitter using a quickie glue pen.  I added 2 strips of retired DeNami ribbon onto the card front.   Thanks for hopping by.

Hopefully you are arriving from Shannon's Blog... if not feel free to start at the beginning by visiting The Twinery Blog!

I love twine, I normally just simply use it to tie around cardstock. I know, boring!! I tried to come up with something semi-unique.  I stamped the large DeNami Daisy in versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I added some ATG tape into the center of each flower and spun some Twine into the center. Quick, Simple, Adds a little fun and lots of color!  I added the Hello Friend sentiment to finish it off.
I'm the last stop on the hop!!!

Still loving the Glitter Ribbon

Today I have one more DeNami card using the new floral images.   Black, silver, and white... perfect combo for a wedding card.  I used the ultimate glue pad and silver glitter on the silver cardstock.  Black ink and extra fine glitter on the oval shape.  One silver rhinestone & silver glitter ribbon finishes it off.  For the background stamp I used the elegant floral blossom and the elegant floral arch stamp for the main image.

Elegant DeNami Floral Card

Yikes this is an awful picture... I think the card base is actually navy, but it sure looks like black.  Oh well, you can see the pretty stamped portions, sparkly ribbon and bling... that's what counts anyway-right?
I love the glitter ribbon that DeNami carries.... such a fun way to add texture and sparkle to your card.  I used the silver here.... along with some extra fine glitter and silver rhinestones.  No need for coloring, so this is a quickie.   Focal image is the Elegant Floral Circle, and the image on the white strip is the elegant floral blossom - both from DeNami Designs.
