I used papers from the Creative Doodles "Colour me" and from the Vintage & Ephemera collections. For the background paper, I also colored it in with a sparkly ink spray and wax paint.

Corry  I have made this project for your inspiration.
I made the background with distress ink and sprinkled it with water. After that I used stencils and text stamps.  I colored and cut out the girl, and glued it on the background. Then I stamped the flowers, bird, and butterflies, and blended it with chlorine. I punched the flowers in the hair and finished with some glitter here and there.
The products that I worked with are:

Belle-papillon clearstamp set

Terry: I have made a colorfull card to send you Loads of Wishes for the new year....
I worked on the background with Distress Oxide, background stamps from different stampsets. When the background was dried up I stamped some flowers on the card. I colored them with Distress Inks. Than I stamped some butterflies from the clearstampset from Polkadoodles and colored those with Distress Inks. On top of the flowers and the butterflies I played with Nuvo drops, to give them a bit of a 3D look. Last but not least I stamped the sentiment on the card.

The products that I worked with are:

Jane - Happy New Year everyone! I have decorated a MDF tag with papers, stencil paste and stamps. I then added die-cuts and download images and a stamped and embossed sentiments.

Now let's check out the inspiration from our DT. As you can see our talented team have been busy working their mixed media magic for you .....

Terry:this time for your inspiration I made a Birthday Card. Clean and simple. I worked on the background with Distress Oxides and splashed water all over it this way the colors mix all together. Usually I work with brighter colors so this was a bit out of my comfortzone. After I dried the background with my heattool I Stamped with red ink. I used the butterflies from Nikky's stampset Bella Fleur A5 large Clear Stampset.  I just love butterflies. I colored them with Panpastels and the toplayer I used is crackle accents. Last but not least I placed a happy birthday sentiment and colored them with distress inks.

I worked with these products:

Gemma: I made this beautiful box and notebook for a friend, the box is an MDF blank and the notebook was made form scratch. All the stunning papers used to decorate both are from the Polkadoodles Beau Paperie 6x6 craft paper pack.

Lou: I've decided to play with Odella Twig digi image from Polkadoodles to create a tag. Odella has been coloured with pencils but then I have triple embossed here adding additional coloured embossing powder to each layer. I was trying to go for a more aged look ...

We're all waiting here eagerly at Love 2 Create to see what you have created, so please link up below ...

A Fab Tutorial by Terry

Happy Sunday everyone and boy oh boy do we have a treat for you today ... a stunning tutorial from Terry who uses a digi image to create a mixed media project. Terry's full tutorial is below.

Our monthly "anything mixed media/creative goes" challenge is still running and we'd love it if you could play along. The link to the challenge is HERE.

Now over to Terry ......

* * * * * * * * *

It is my turn, Terry to put a tutorial together for your inspiration and I just loved doing this for you all.

I colored the ULA Image from Polkadoodles, with my copic markers.....I love coloring and this amazing cute girl was a lot of fun to color.

What I did was I cut a piece of paper that I wanted for my background, took different coloured Distress Ink and splashed some water on top to let it flow over the paper. The best way to do that is to hold the paper between 2 fingers and then spray the water. You can rotate the paper so that water goes over it. That way you get a mix of colors on your background.

After the background paper is dry, I have added some color. Also, the brown color along the edges of the paper and a bit of green.

Then of course I wanted to be sure that the background colors would fit with Ula....and I thought she did fit in perfectly.

I thought the background was a bit bland, so I used a stencil to fill the background. The Grit Paste gives the flower a 3D-effect and takes in the color from the Distress inks.

When the Paste was dry I got my waterpen, the fabulous stampset from Polkadoodles, calles Bonfleur and stamped 2 butterflies from the stampset. I colored the butterflies with the Distress Oxide and cut them out of the paper. The background was colored with the Oxides too. This time I used the Distress Inks but you can easliy work with the PanPastels too. They work great on the background and also to color your Digi stamps and Stamps.

Working with the Paste gives the flowers a real 3D effect. Still thought the background was a bit bland so I stamped a few tiny flowers on the paper. I colored the tiny ones with distress too and I was happy with the result.

A bit upclose so you can see what I mean with the flowers having a 3D effect with the Paste.

Oke so my background is finished with the fab colors and the stencilled flowers. Now all I need is the colored image from Ula, so I decided to get some doublesided tape on it and placed the image on my background paper.

So what do ya all think, I am pretty happy about it, and if you tell me Mixed Mediums don't mix with digi images, you'r totally wrong eh? All it needed was a few words...I thought Sending Lots of Love would be just perfect....and to finish I have placed the colored butterflies on the flower and on top of the card and my card is finished.

So there ya go, my project that I wanted to share with you for your inspiration is finished. I sure hope you are going to get your thinking cap on and get those fabulous digi stamps from Nikky, from Polkadoodles...I am sure you are going to love these cuties.....

Thank you all for stopping by and hope I gave you some ideas on what you can make with Mixed Mediums and Digistamps mixed with stamps.
Have Fun.

3. Ingrid Kristina V

24 Jerrie

39 Jill Holmes

Congratulations ladies, your projects were awesome!! Don't forget to grab your Top 3 badge from the sidebar.

Now what have our lovely DT been busy with this week. as always they've created some stunning projects to inspire you...

Nikky...I coloured this Oddella image up a few weeks back for the Graph'It colouring challenge and when I looked at it the following day I suddenly had an overwhelming urge to make her into a journal page which I have not done for absolutely eons...and I mean eternity eons! I've recently had a disaster purchase - I needed to bulk buy some diaries and like the numbskull I am I bought 50 (yes, that's 50!!) diaries - then realised when they arrived they were 2015 GRRRR!!! So I have 50 journals to use up this year haha!!
So I didnt lose the mojo for her I rushed upstairs as soon as I got in from work and decided I was only allowing the time it took for the pizza to cook and no more - I'm trying to set myself time goals so I just go with the flow and dont procratinate too much as it's killing my melon, man....
this was the coloured image before and after...
I just got all my fave colours out and random stamps which just happened to be the nearest to hand which were all my textures from Premium Art Brands and threw it all on. I did actually spritz and seal between layers but because I was rushing they did get very muddied and I used a lot of yellow ochre which I dont normally do. Not what I was aiming for at all but this was pizza journaling!!...
I just ripped the image off the paper and glued it down with photo glue then applied all the Pan Pastel colours around it, using a Versamark inkpad to overstamp - love using Versamark ink as they just stick to the Pan Pastels like glue and make it so vibrant...
A bit of doodling to finish off using a black Graph'It marker which will go over virtually anything and the must have Graph'It White Shake marker...

colours used: magenta, perm red, yellow ochre, phthalo green, black coarse sparkle medium, white sparkle medium, violet
Walnut distress ink to stamp, Versamark to stamp, Graph'It white Shake pen, Graph'It Black alcohol marker, Graph'It Glitter shake silver and gold (character)

Lou: I used my pan pastels to both colour my background but also my stamped images to create a simple and quick card. I wanted the bricks to stand out so embossed them first running it through my die cutting machine.

Next using Perfect Medium, I stamped my flower images and coloured them quickly with pearlescent yellow and orange pan pastels creating highlights using a rubber. One of the many benefits of using pan pastels ... rub away what you don't need or even any mistakes!
and repeated the process with the leaves and rose buds using the Sofft Tools ...

Finally I added everything to the brick background to create a pretty floral card. This really is a quick way to create your elements as probably the longest part is cutting the images out.

More photos and step by step instructions can be found on my blog. All products and links are below. Just open the images ...

Hope you all have a messy creative week and don't forget to pop back next week to
see what the DT have created for the new challenge.
