I am grateful that Panda chose this article. I am also grateful to jj for posting the articles and following through with this opportunity. As Christ was in the Garden for me, I'm grateful that you all are there for me too. Eternally grateful.
I appreciated the examples President Packer shared. There were many important points that he reminded us of. My heart heard Elder Packer's words more than my head did: It has been over 180 years since the priesthood was restored. We now number nearly 14 million members. Even so, we are a tiny fraction when compared to the billions of people on earth. But we are who we are, and we know what we know, and we are to go forth and preach the gospel.

The Book of Mormon makes it clear that we never will dominate by numbers. But we have the power of the priesthood.

Again, I love you. Pam

This talk had quite a few one-liners that made me stop and think. I remember listening to this talk and really paying attention. I have always enjoyed hearing Pres. Packer speak. He stated quite a few times, in different ways, that we have not yet heard everything Heavenly Father needs to teach us and we don't have the power that we should. We have all heard this several times and know that once the Second Coming happens, we will have the fully restored gospel. Since I have moved overseas and lived in a foreign country and seeing/hearing about bad things happening all over the world, I have thought so often how close we are to the Second Coming. I often get discouraged because I don't think I am ready for this yet, but remember that I must keep trying. I don't want to quit just because it's hard. The more I read my scriptures and the words of the prophets, the more I want to continue reading.

I am very grateful for the priesthood. I am grateful to my dad for always being worthy and showing me what an honorable priesthood holder is like. When someone asks me about my dad, I often say he is the best man I know.

My favorite line in the talk comes in the middle, "We can and in due time certainly will influence all of humanity. It will be known who we are and why we are. It might seem hopeless; it is monumentally difficult; but it is not only possible but certain that we will win the battle against Satan." This gives me the encouragement that I need. What an awesome promise this is!
