We have not fallen off the face of the earth yet...

Here's a little update from the last month or so... We have been able to spend alot of time with family, which is just the best! Here's Ryan watching to Christmas Parade in downtown Dallas on Gramps shoulders. It was a very cold morning, so we were all bundled up ready to see the parade!! Luckly Ryan knows when it is cold and will leave his hat and gloves on until the moment he sees the car or house, then all bets are off!!

Last week we had one day of GOURGOUS mixed in with days of 30 degrees, radom I know but that's what happens when you live in Texas!! It was great so I called my mom and we headed to the Zoo with all the grandkids(Matt was having surgery, so Mimi had the girls for the day!)

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was!! It always shocks me when the zoo is empty on such a wonderful day-maybe people just don't have the same enthusiasum for the zoo that I do-first of all since I have a pass it a free day, the only thing I pay for is to feed the birds(his favorite, no fear at all, Ryan sees animals which he loves and he leaves tired ready for a nap!! I think on this day he was asleep before I even started the car!! It's a total win win situation!!

Um, it might be easier from down here since they don't jump on the stick!! Since it had been so cold I'm sure the birds were starving!! We were attacked the moment we walked in the door!! Ryan loved it!!

Thanksgiving at Katie's was great!! Katie made all the kids these cute shirts, Ryans said Turkey, with a Turkey on it!!

Okay, now I'm going really private

Well my computer crashed this week, so I'm going really private-unless I get a computer fairy god mother in the next couple of days!!  I feel lost with the world without my computer!! I guess I'll manage until the day comes that I can replace my best friend with a new one!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, and has a lot to be Thankful for!!  I'm so thankful for my family, and my wonderful husband who works hard for his family, my happy boy who(most days) is a joy to be around, and this new baby that is growing and developing, waiting to join our family.  Dinner was great and it was so nice to be around family after so many years of doing it on our own!!  

I can't resist....

So the other day Katie was watching Ryan for me(he had just gotten over the nasty bug)while I was out of town for a craft show. Katelyn called me and asked if I had received any pictures on my phone yet, um no, I thought she was sending me pictures of a shirt she made for Ryan for Thanksgiving, she told me she wouldn't talk to me until I had seen the pictures, and promptly hung up. I wasn't able to get to a computer for a little while and Katie called me twice in that time, I just thought she was very excited. Well I got home and got on the computer and this is what I found.....

If you can't figure out what that it coming out from behind my son, as my sister said,"It's SHIT!!" She said that NO other word could be used to describe the awful mess that Ryan was totally content to sit in. And if only the computer had smell-o-vision, you couldn't imagine something so horrible smelling coming out of a amazingly happy baby!!! I thought he was over this part of being sick, I guess I was WRONG!! I'm so sorry Katie, I know you didn't sign up for that, and did I mention I think that in the few hours he was there he took three baths and had two more diapers like that!!! I owe my sister HUGE!!

I'm huge!!!

Okay so with Ryan I didn't show FOREVER, not the case with this sweet little girl rapidly growing inside of me!! So I haven't really gained much but this belly is HUGE. Yesterday I was at Target and this lady(who was not all there, and I'm not just saying that to make myself feel better) started to talk to me about Ryan, typical chit chat, then she asked me if I was having another one.....uh yeah.....then she realized I was pregnant and proceeded to tell me how huge I was and that if I wasn't careful I was going to have a 10 pound baby!! Thank you lady with no bra on and a twitch, I really appreciate hearing that I'm as big as a house and I still have 3 months to go....yippee!!

Drum roll please...the mom of the year award goes to...

Yes that is my 16 month old drinking Starbucks!! I'm such a good mom!! Okay so it's not a Chi or cappuccino so everyone can wipe their scowled "BAD MOM" look off their faces , it's just a little chocolate milk, the leftovers of my Salted Carmel Hot Chocolate(my new favorite drink ever!), the girl offered me the leftovers with a little extra cold milk and Ryan loved every sip, in fact I don't think he took his mouth off the straw, and just kept saying, "mmm!" after every gulp! This boy defiantly has a sweet tooth, like his uncle Scotty!!

Spa Day

I have had a bunch of stuff going on (sick baby) and forgot to make an entry about my glorious Spa Day!! My friend Shelia is going to be having a baby in December, I made her a crib set for her new bundle of joy(which is going to be a boy), I made the crib set as a gift and didn't expect ANYTHING in return. Well Shelia went over the top and gave me a gift certificate for a spa day at a fancy boutique hotel in downtown Dallas called Hotel ZaZa. It is decorated in Moulin Rouge style, and way out of my norm!! I loved every minute of it-I had a 80, yes you read that right 80 minute massage, an hour pedicure and then a manicure!! It was a wonderful afternoon, especially after moving and unpacking!! Thanks to Katie and my mom for watching Ryan for the afternoon. My mom was dragged into it because I forgot to take my carseat out of the car before I left, so Katie was stuck at home but Delaney needed to be picked up at preschool!! It was a wonderful day and I'm so thankful for Shelia and her very generous gift!!

Karma is a B****!!!!

The other day I was saying to someone that Ryan has never woken up in the middle of the night-well I take it all back!!! My poor baby has the stomach bug!! He started throwing up last night at around 10pm(ALL over his crib, including his bummer that I just got back from the dry cleaner--ugh!!!) and then about every half hour until 6am, I think we slept a total of an hour. The throwing up slowed down around 10 am and then came the other end!!! OH MY GOSH, I have thought he has had diarrhea before, but NOTHING comes close to this stuff today!! Keep your fingers crossed that he will get a good nights sleep tonight- I need it!!

What I'm thankful for...

1. That I can be a stay at home mom to take care of my baby when he is sick and only wants mom.

2. Going to sacrament meeting and have Ryan sit quietly!!

3. A mom that answer the phone no matter what time of day.

4. Friends that are so willing to help.

5. DVR so I can watch the shows I missed while Ryan is awake and being a tornado!

These are just a few things that I have been thank for lately, some are silly but still I'm grateful for all these things!! More things are too come!

Give Thanks

Yeah, I feel like I'm back in the real world now!! Now if I could just find my camera battery charger!!! It's some where in the ONLY box Jared packed, now if I could just find that one box!

We are all moved in and just have two boxes to unpack and need to find a place for all the left over STUFF!! Ryan has been sick with a tempature of 103.8 for the last 24 hours(101 with motrin) so I've trying to keep his temp down and keep him happy!

Movers!!

Jared and I moved to a bottom floor apartment(same complex, same floor plan) so that I didn't have to carry two babies up three flights of stairs!! It was quite the project and we have a ton of CRAP!!! So on Friday the two movers showed up early(which I was very happy about) the guy that was driving the truck had a little bit of trouble parking and I thought, "Oh no this might be a long day!!" Then he got out of the truck, the mover only had ONE arm! "Oh great they sent two movers and only one has two working arms, you have got to be kidding me! How can a man with one arm really move me out of a third floor apartment, really they sent a guy with one arm!!!" I was totally exasperated, and nervous that we would be moving ALL DAY! Well they got to working, and man, the guy with one arm could really move!! He lifted my queen size mattress all by himself and carried it down the three flights of stairs all by himself. I was totally impressed, and asked him if people doubted him ability to move when he pulled up with one arm? He just said that he learned to adapted and needed to make money. Later on he told me and my dad that he also got bit by a Brown Recluse spider and was in the hospital for 11 months...I don't think he lost the arm from the spider bite but it was the craziest thing I had seen in along time!

I just bought gas for...drum roll PLEASE 

$1.95 a gallon!!!  

I'm sure it will go back up after the election is all over but $1.95, I wish my tank wasn't half full so I could fill up on the gas they are practically giving away!

So stinking cute!!

Okay so this was one of my favorite days so far being a mom!! Ryan loved trick or treating and was very excited about the whole idea!! We went with Jareds family and I think a good time was had by all. Ryan rode on Jareds shoulders the whole time and in between each house he would wiggle back and forth yelling "GO GO GO DAD GO GO!" and then once he got in walking range of the new front door he would start yelling, "DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!" and then waddle his cute little self up the the front door signing and saying EZ, EZ(please) and then signing thank you once he got some candy. Once he got the candy he would then try and walk into EVERY house! I think almost every house we went to who ever answered the door would make the person who didn't answer come see the cute skunk!! I really got my monies worth out of his costume, I think it was worth every penny I spent.... a whole $2.50. I got it at
The Childrens Place Outlet last year after Halloween, and have just been dying for Halloween ever since!

Mimi watched Ryan over night last week while I packed and had movers come and move my entire apartment(that's another story in itself!)  Mimi and Katie got together and took all the kids to the Dallas Arboretum- I heard that it was more like herding cats and not quite as easy as it may have seemed!!

Katie had a fun Halloween Party at the park before Halloween and all the kids came dressed up, and had a blast!  Shalene came with me and we had a nice time!

I didn't think is was going to be so Stinking hot the day before Halloween but Ryan was sweaty, he was wearing a brand new black tee shirt, and from his sweat it looked like he had hairy armpits.

We've moved and all is well~~ I didn't switch the internet, and I can't find my battery charger for me camera, so I'll be back once I've unpacked everything, I'm close really close~~

15 months and growing....

Ryan had his 15 month check up today! I can't believe that he is that old already!! He weighted in at 23lbs 10oz. and 33inches long and a huge head!! The doctor said that he was very friendly and happy!! He is still sleeping like a champ, but a very picky eater(which still drives me crazy!!)He loves to dance, talk on the phone, finally he is getting some hair on top to balance out the mullet he is getting in the back with his curly hair, he thinks anywhere we go the people there are there to see him!! Ry is a huge flirt and still LOVES blonde's. He is BUSY, his little boy is ON THE GO, the only thing that can get him to hold still for more then 15 minutes is the movie 101 Dalmatians, he loves all the dogs and barking, he will sit still for the ENTIRE movie! He loves to read books and can be found many times sitting in his room reading, he also loves singing or music of any kind(the wheels on the bus,he does most of the motions and patty cake)! He is always moving and getting into anything he can reach, luckily he hasn't learned to climb(knock on wood) because once he learns I'm in huge trouble! Ryan loves his blanket and his binkie which he would take anywhere if I let him! He waves and says "Hi" in a cute little high pitch voice to anyone in his vicinity until they say hi back to him. Now please don't get me wrong he's not always a perfect angel, and is starting to throw temper tantrums, plays in the toilet(which is less then lovely especially when he comes out of the bathroom brushing his hair with the toilet brush-great parenting moment I must say!) We have just a couple more months until he can go to nursery, I'm counting down the Sundays. Sundays are miserable for me, he is so busy and I don't get to listen to ANYTHING, I don't know why they don't have a nursery for mobile babies. Ryan has a bunch of words, hi, bye, ttee(tv), go go, down,ook(book), uu(up),eat, mom, dad, drink, amen, nini(night night), duck, eazzz(please)egg, katie, laney, lene(shalene), gra(grandpa,grandma), mimi, bebe(baby), yeah, boo(zoo), hat, dog, cat, phone, keys, ball, ba(bath) and he knows when he needs one, what some animals say-monkey(while pounding his chest), fish, sheep, tiger, lion, dinosaur, cat, duck, horse, dog, giraffe,elephant, and we are working on some others!! We love Ryan and our so thankful for him and that he is a part of our family, I'm excited to see him as a big brother and I know he will love his new baby sister! We love you Ryan, stay a happy boy!

OH how I hate packing!!!

Why can't I just throw everything away and start all over again?? I've decided that most things are going to go into storage because our lease is up in August and I don't want to have to pack EVERYTHING all over again with two babies, that doesn't sound like any fun at all!! Did I mention I hate packing??

STOCKYARDS

Today was beautiful so Shalene and I packed up the kids and headed to the stockyards!! We thought we missed the cattle drive but we got there just in time to watch the cows come down the road!! Ryan was in HEAVEN!! He loves horse and cows, he just kept yelling OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOOOOOOOOO!! All the cowboys are so nice and really let the kids touch the horses and answered all our questions.
Look at those horns, there were cars parked all along the street, talk about keying your car if one of those guys walked by too closely!!
Ryan got a little pumpkin time, he thought it was a ball though, he just kept saying ,"ball,ball, ball, ball." and trying to pick up these huge BALLS.

So today I finally started packing, I've really been putting this off....

I think I've been putting it off because I don't like my house undecorated, look how boring my bathroom is now : (

Say a little prayer for my baby brother!

Please say a little prayer for my brother Brent!! Today Brent is having knee cartilage replacement surgery from a donor. Brent hurt his knee almost two years ago Christmas and my parents have been battling the insurance company since then for the experimental surgery which is the ONLY option for Brent to regain his normal active lifestyle. We found out a couple of weeks ago that they might have found a match for Brent and since then we have just been waiting for the all systems ago from all the different doctors!! His surgery will be tonight and then he will be totally immobile for I think a month!! If you would like more medical info you can read my mom's blog for total information!! Again please say a little prayer for my brother and hope that everything goes according to plan and he will be back to his normal outdoor self in no time!!! I love you Bobo!!

Out on the town

So yesterday I went to Dallas to spend the day with everyone, we had planed to go to the State Fair, but it rained all day, so we decided to go shopping instead!! That always sounds like more fun to me anyways! We met at the Allen Outlet Mall at 11, every child had at least 12 hours of sleep, so we had well rested children or so we thought.... we got into the first store and Delaney melted down, being the oldest is really rough sometimes(I can feel her growing pains!!) So Katie(who was all dressed up and looking really cute) decided that she needed to take Delaney home!! Mom and I felt so bad for her since she was excited to get out of the house and looking so cute and frazzled with Delaney not knowing what to do!! Well mom seriously stepped up and said she would take Delaney and Reese home so we could enjoy our morning shopping!! Mimi is the best!! It was such a nice day with Katie!! I was so worried that as soon as mom left with the other kids Ryan would melt down and our fun shopping day would be totally over, luckily for us Ryan held it together!! Katie did some retail therapy and felt much better by the time we headed home!! We bought lunch for mom to pay her back and had a nice time while ALL the kids took a nap!!

Lesson learned-Going out is getting harder and harder with each child we have, by the time I have my baby we will be reduced to phone calls and keeping in touch with our blogs!! That's why you NEVER see anyone out with more then two children at a time! Oh well, we will keep trying, it might get worse before it gets better, but it will get better right? As soon as Delaney grows out of it, it will be Ryan's turn, oh joy!!

He wasn't that sweet and happy the whole time we were taking pictures, at one point he scraped her nose while tryng to point at it, and she started to scream, at that point Ryan didn't know what was happening!!

I'm having a girl!! I think it just sunk in that I'm having a girl, I always thought I'd have a house full of boys, I'm not sure I know what to do with a little girl!! Ryan falls and I tell him that it's okay and stop crying.......and then I realize he has a black eye and his is on to the next thing, now can you do that with a little girl?? The clothes are really cute, it's fun to see all the sweet things a little girl can wear, but it's weird because I find myself looking at the boy clothes and thinking they are pretty darn cute too.... I'm not sure I'm ready for this???

What an awesome day!!

Today was a great day!!! Jared and I went to my doctors appointment and had a great time, then Jared surprised me and said he took the whole day off!! What a great husband, just when I was feeling like we hadn't seen much of him lately!! We went and picked Ryan up from my friends house and headed to the zoo!! What a fun day to watch Jared, watch Ryan enjoy the zoo!!

Oh by the way we are having a girl! We are so excited, so bring on the handme downs, since we now need a whole new wardrobe!! I get to shop for a little girl!! I get to sew cute dresses!! Cute hair bows the list goes on and on!!
