Zoids Group Build 2013 at HAW

    The Zoids GB this afternoon at HAW was HOTHOTHOT in more ways than one - it was hot in that it was a HIT with modellers since there were about over 10 kits in all, with some mega ones (and I'm not just referring to my King). But it was also hot cos whew, felt like a sauna in there thanks to the number of bodies that showed up, including modellers' buddies, partners, families and regular customers. Imagine the buzz. This pic doesn't even begin to capture how packed we were...

KDASH TRIBUTE (FOUR GODS)

    This is an outdated feature, but I figured that for any of you who haven't seen the work of HK-based modeller Kdash, then this is for you. There is something about this fella's style....It's totally unorthodox, edgy, and some might say, overdone, but I find myself growing to like it more and more. Firstly, it's not easy incorporating a theme onto your build, let alone coming up with these outrageous mods. Call it gaudy if you want, but I think when it comes to medieval Chinese-style kungfu mecha, Kdash captured the look and animalistic feel perfectly, and everything just kinda blends together, down to the custom weapons. Full marks for uniqueness. You can be sure there's nothing else like this out there.  Enjoy!

GUNZOIDS!!!

    As if we don't already have enough on our hands, Toymaker and I have decided to add an EXTRA kit each to our Buster-Duel speed-builds. Boy, why we keep doing this to ourselves, I have no idea LOL. But anyway, I'm right smack into a Zoids phase at the moment and am stocking up on Zoids kits, which are rarer than diamonds in Singapore, I kid you not. So I bought this Saber Tiger set and assembled it on my day off, and am so impressed with the details I decided, why not make them recon units to our Gundams, rite? LOL. Mine's gonna be a Buster-Saber pair-up, and Toymaker's is a Duel-Fox tag team. How will they look together? Watch this space.

AGE-1 GROUP BUILD Summary

    What did you do on Labour Day? We laboured over Gundams. LOL. Yep here's the lowdown of what went on at HAW today where 19 Age-1 entries were put up on show for a cosy Group Build gathering. This is the biggest GB HAG/HAW has ever organised, and the turnout was fantastic! Thanks fellas for coming down and taking part! We had a blast. Everyone present was asked to vote (of course contestants can't vote for their own kits, duh) and the results were tallied.....Soooo without further ado, let's kickstart this with the winners! - 

AMPHION-ZETHUS [AGE-1 Duo Build]

    And the duo is complete! Presenting the pastel-scheme pair of ZETHUS (in orange) and AMPHION (I can't think of an overall team name right now...)! This is part of a GB, as mentioned, at HAW. Toymaker and I decided to come up with a pair of OOB Age-1s, done up in pastel colour scheme, and decked out in the Strike's Launcher and Sword pack.
