Bike update.

So here are a few new pictures for all the admirers that my bike has now. I will point out the new changes in each picture. I used my wifes new fancy lens to take the pictures, and so one of them is blurry cause I don't know what the heck I am doing. Starting at the front:

You can see the wonderful transformers logo that Jon donated to the cause. You can also see that I have removed the zip ties and frame stickers that so plagued the beauty of the machine in the past. You can also see the custom paint that my dad put on the belt covers there on the front side of the engine, from gray to black. I also have pulled off the mirrors for this picture because I will get one that attaches to the end of the handlebar soon. (10 bucks at REI for anyone wanting to get me a late Christmas present... hint hint.)

Do not adjust your eyes or monitor, this is the blurry picture, but you can see the differences that are apparent that I mentioned before.

You can't see much from the back, but it makes a great butt shot that I can put on the site. You can see that I have changed license plates and have the custom holders for the new one in place. Very nice twist ties from my neighbor cause the other bolt was rounded off. I have the back fairing off so that I can take my bride on rides whenever she demands it. Though you can see that there is a good amount of white stuff on the ground that lessens those demands somewhat.

This is my Bike cleaning partner. She always helps me with maintainance and stuff.

A few random things...

So I will call this first part of the post: Lump day, the revenge. For those who I have not told, in high school during a particularly intense day of working out a strange thing happened. I had just finished maxing out on the curls, and looked at my left bicep and there was a strange lump near the top just under the skin. I touched it and squished it and it went away. About a minute later, I felt as powerful as I ever have. I jumped about 40 lbs. on the bench and a proportionate amount on other lifts, then the feeling went away and I was back to normal. We called it "lump day". A few days ago I was doing my freaking awesome P90X workout and looked down and sure enough, just a few inches lower on the same arm, a bigger lump than before. This one I did not crush for fear of sending some kind of clot to my brain or something, but I did manage to snap a picture before it disappeared. No freak out this time. Any ideas out there on what this thing could be? Not the best picture, but you can see it there towards the bottom right in the front.

In other news, we had a great Christmas in St. George and we will put up pictures of that later.

Well, dang, now off to work, but here are a few fun pictures that my wife has snapped.

I'm Back...

Ok, so I realized that Tyler has posted the last 9 and I figured it is about time that I did one of my own. Although I don't think I really have anything to post about. But I am not about to let Tyler get to 10 without me in there somewhere.
I have been reminded this year how much I love the Christmas season. I love the Hymns at church, I love hearing more about Christ and his teachings, I love seeing my girls (especially Hallie) getting excited about Santa coming, I love how their eyes fill with amazement as they see all the Christmas lights around, and I love that they know that the baby that is everywhere is Baby Jesus. Plus, I have an amazing Husband that is so willing to work hard for our family just so we can go to St. George to be with Family. We love you and really appreciate all that you do for us.
The one down side to this time of year is that my birthday happens to fall in there somewhere. Which is normally great but this year I am turning 29 and that makes me one year closer to the dreaded 30. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't live in a ward full of 18 and 19 year old newly weds! The great thing is that I don't feel a day over 22 and I am loving life.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We will keep you updated on our travels and hope that all of you will too!

Yeah!

I decided to put a before picture of me up anyway. This was last summer so I have lost a little weight since then, but I like the picture of me, so I decided to post it. I will work on the tan that Julie so correctly noted that is needed from the before and after pictures. And maybe shave. Posting from work is such a no-no.

Sledding is fun

Here is an edited version of our sledding day. I had a few minutes to kill, so we cut it up and made this little thing. I like it. The movies are just too fun to post. We will put up a few pictures too later.

I am now king of the posts for our blog. My wife hasn't even tried to keep up. I am free of school now and so am happy to fill in here.

There was a slower version of this video, but it is too big to post here. I will cut it down and post it so the Bangs can see more of themselves. Enjoy

Annie and Hallie are funny

Here goes the first trial for the new medium here on the warnerbunch blog. It stars our two little comedians so it is naturally hilarious. so here we go:

A few pieces of News

I am officially done with class, and I have two more finals to do this Thursday and then I am done with my undergraduate career. I will have a Biology bachelors degree with a Chemistry minor. I know, I know, now you all want to write to me asking intense science questions about sarcoplasmic reticulum, or molecular phylogenetics, or comparative vertebrate morphology or something else, but I am not willing to answer yet.
I am also applying to med schools and stuff, and have gotten secondary responses from almost everyone already. So that is going fine.
The real reason I am making this post is that I am going to start working out VERY intensely after my finals are over, and I want to know if I should post a before picture... Would that be gratuitous? I would not be wearing a shirt, and it could frighten the children, pregnant women, or those with back or heart conditions (I took that list from Disneyland rides...). Maybe I should ask my wife first.

Maybe I should have asked her before this...

NO, I am da Mom

Hallie has this game that she likes to play where Bree is named Abby and I am named Sam and Annie is just Annie. Anyway she gets all maternal and starts with this lilting voice that sounds a whole bunch like the voice of Snow White. So she starts to get pretty bossy, but is a really good mom.

Tonight she was trying to read us a book, but I wanted her to call me a different name than Sam, so I told her to call me Huckleberry Finn, Geofram Bornhold, and Turd Fergeuson. This kind of made her upset and then the thing that tipped her over the edge was me calling Bree and Annie poopfaces. I was sent to the corner with instruction not to move. She dragged a chair across the floor and got the timer that we use her on when she is in time out. She put it in front of me and said that I had four minutes. I set it for one.

After a second, she started to make the beeping sound like the timer was going off. As she picked it up, it really started to go off, and this amazed her enough that she stopped making the noise and she just stared at it. She got over that and Bree said "He needs to tell Mom sorry and give her a hug." So I grabbed Hallie and said sorry.

I started squeezing pretty hard off and on trying to get her to squeak, but I'll be danged if that little girl wouldn't break character for one second. She kinda humphed and grunted a little and the whole while was trying to slide between my arms and get away. I let her slip now and again hoping that she would lose patience and get upset but she never did. She finally dropped to the floor from between my arms and my chest, red faced and hair all up in a golden mess on top of her head. She looked around with little wide eyes, shook her head patting down her hair and in a little, quiet, patient voice she "Oh... that's ok." Just loud enough for us to hear, still being Mom.
Unshakable.

Snow Day

So this was actually last Saturday, but I realized that we never posted any pictures on it. So here you go. It started to snow Friday night at about 11 and kept dumping till about 2 in the afternoon. We got about a foot of snow, and it was neato.

We got the girls all dressed up in their gear, and they were so excited to go play. Look at the joy on their faces.

It was also music appreciation day. Look at the focus and determination.

I have also thrown my allegiance in with the Autobots. I would follow Optimus Prime ANYWHERE.
This is the back of my old helmet, now I have a new one so when I decorate that one I will post. I also have a schnazee symbol on the bike, if it would ever stop storming on my days off long enough for me to get some pictures of it.

Words to live by

We wanted to list the collection of words and phrases that our children have taught us already in their young lives.
From the mouth of Hallie:
chee chee= milk
pibity bubbadee= poopy diaper
taperwipes= toilet paper
ponies= underwear
crappa= Grandpa
seeping yudee= sleeping beauty
fish (has now graduated to wish)= witch

From the mouth of Annie:
aah no= milk
bebeepsh= Elephant
suh= cereal
baby= bellybutton
mi mah= Mickey Mouse
mi mah do dee dee= Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
roo beea= anything carbonated

We just thought that we would share the secret second language of the young Warners.

We went on a hike too.The elevation was getting to Annie we think.

A vote then!

So we got some pictures taken last Friday by a pro-type photographer in our ward. We want to get prints of all of them, but that is not feasible. Tell us which you would pick and maybe you could be good for something... for once.

Heart Broken...

We went and got our family picture taken this afternoon and we ended up bribing our girls so they would smile for the camera. One of Hallie's favorite things is Rootbeer Ice Cream from A&W. So of course this was our bribe and it worked wonderfully. The bad thing was when we went through the drive thru we found out that they no longer make root beer ice cream. Hallie heard this and looked at me and then just started sobbing. I have never seen her cry like this, and believe me I have seen her cry lots. It was awful. We finally talked her into a root beer freeze and she later informed us that it tasted just like root beer ice cream. What a relief. That is one of the hardest things to watch your child's excitement get put out.
We did our own Thanksgiving yesterday and it turned out wonderful. Tyler and I came up with a list of pro's and con's about having your own Thanksgiving:
Pro's:
1- you get all the leftovers
2- you don't have to sit across the table from someone you hardly know and make small talk
3- You get to take a nap in your own bed
4- you don't spend 8 hours traveling

Con's
1- you don't get to ditch out after the dinner to avoid the dishes
2- you have to cook everything by yourself
3- you don't get to see all your family
4- you get lots of phone calls that turn out to be mostly guilt trips that you aren't coming

We went down to temple square after, which seemed to be the favorite part for Hallie and Annie. It was freezing cold outside but they kept warm by running all over the place. The missionaries were all entertained! All in all we had a great Thanksgiving and really enjoyed learning how to make the Turkey and everything else. Thanks Mom and Dad for putting up with all the phone calls!

Ok, Here's for Jef and Julie!

Actually, we don't really have lives outside of blogging but we happened to be in St. George for the week and never made it to a computer. Last week I ended up going to St. George to babysit my sisters children while they went on a cruise with my Mom and Dad. Now that I think about it that wasn't a very fair deal! Next time I am going to only say yes to me going on the cruise with them! But really, Hallie and Annie had a blast. They absolutely loved being able to wander on their own and explore all the different sand hills and animals that the backyard offered. Plus, they were never without a friend cause they always had a cousin nearby.
Janae and Kerry so kindly let us borrow their old tree for Christmas. We didn't have any where to store it so we ended up putting it up early. I know, Thanksgiving isn't even over yet but it was the only solution to our small apartment. Hallie helped decorate it and Annie helped undecorate it. Good thing Hallie and I were faster than her. Plus, we had the wonderful help of Tyler. He was home with the flu yesterday so we enlisted him in the putting on the lights part. He did an awesome job!

This morning Hallie was watching one of her favorite cartoons (My friends, Tigger and Pooh) and she decided that she was going to be Darby, the little girl in the cartoon. So she went and got her hat and started doing everything that Darby did. It was so cute. Right now Hallie is going through the stage of feeling beautiful. Every time she hears the words "Pretty" or "Beautiful" she turns to see who is talking about her. It is so cute. I just hope it doesn't go to her head!

Just in case...

I don't know if anyone can tell by the picture that was posted, but the potty in the picture is actually a toy potty for a baby. Hallie somehow thought it was a real potty and was at a total loss when she couldn't get it to flush away her mess! But the carseat peeing is still as clear as Tyler wrote- she just did it because! We love our Hallie and all the new challenges and joys she brings us each new day.

Can you say: Reverting?

I know most of you think that the majority of my posts are centered around humorous bodily functions, but this one takes first place... at least this week.

We had Travis (Beavis) and Amy up over the weekend to come play. Their little guys played great with ours, especially Hallie and Mikayla (boy I hope I spelled that right, we had a rant about people misspelling our kids names...). On the way home from dinner, the girls were in the back of the van screaming in unison and having a great time. After a few minutes Hallie starts up a song "I-ah-I peee--eeeeEEEEEEd in my caaaarrr-seeeeeeat!"

She has played jokes on us in the past. Once she came up to me holding something in the front of her traditional "preee dress": "Dad.... I pooped." Oh, that was about enough to get me to chuck, then she says "Juss kiddin'" and drops the ball she was holding there. So we wondered if this was a joke too, so we asked again and again if she was serious. Each time, the response came back as a higher and louder version of the above song.

Wow.

So today Annie and Mom are napping and Hallie and I are playing with her toys in the front room. She took off her clothes and walked back to the playroom. Totally normal for her, so I got on here to check things out.

Few minutes later she comes back out "Dad, the baby toilet is too small and it is broken and doesn't flush so I peed on it and I need you to fix it for me." Sure enough, not a joke again as the picture will attest to. Then she has the gall to ask me for candy.

Double wow.

Annie has been better in the bathroom area this time, but she still made post-worthy accomplishments this time.

We always go in to look at our girls when they crash for the night, to make sure that they are covered up and not falling out of bed, or that they are not in each others beds etc... (also to remind us of how cute they can be when not screaming, peeing, or hitting...)

I wish that I had taken a top-down picture of this. Her face was smashed up against the bed-rail, and she was just sleeping away peacefully like she didn't have a two inch piece of wood crushing her nose.

Then this morning all the kids were back playing while the rest of us were eating breakfast. All of a sudden you can hear Annie screaming the hurt scream. She has been getting her feet caught in almost everything (we can't figure out how or why, but she does) so we were ready for a broken leg or something. Instead Bree finds Annie with her head planted firmly against the handlebars of Hallies trike. Upon attempting to lift her head, she found that her mouth was stuck to the bell on the handlebars.

Yeah.

I included a picture just so you can see what I am talking about. It seemed like the edge of the bell was digging into the roof of her mouth, so she was just bent over this bike, screaming and trying to pull her head up.

The pictures aren't working right now, so follow this link and you can see those that I wanted to include...

Happy Halloween

This is one of my favorite holiday's. I really don't know why but I just love seeing all the kids dressed up and going crazy because of the sugar high that they are on. Hallie is so excited to go trick or treating tonight. She has been asking me for weeks when she gets to go. We went to the Zoo last Saturday because they were having a trick or treat thing. Anyway, she didn't want to wear her monkey costume cause she had to save that one for the real trick or treating. So we put her in the chicken and off we went. They loved it. Annie couldn't believe that people were putting candy in her bag and would eat each piece as she got it. We had a little bit of a fit getting the costume on but once she stopped screaming she looked adorable.

This just in...

Bree just called me here at work ( I have a bit of time between plastic treatments on the tissue today) to tell me that Hallie is bullying now. The funny part is in the specifics: The child that she is bullying is a boy near her age. She is calling him crybaby and stuff to get him to cry.

Tyler got new teeth!

Thanks to Tyler's Parents he just got his permanent veneers put on today. They look awesome and he is so excited about them. Here are a few pictures to show you what they look like. The first one is an attempt at a before picture. We don't have many of Tyler by himself because he is always holding or playing with one of the girls. Just shows what a wonderful Dad Hallie and Annie have! These are both the after pictures. Can you see the difference?

MISSING!!! PLEASE HELP!

This is a very serious emergency, if you all could do whatever you can to help us out, it would be much appreciated: My wife's butt is gone.

We aren't really sure when it went missing exactly, but it is gone for sure.

Don't get me wrong, what's left is awesome...

Bree is gonna kill me. (if you don't hear any posts from me in the next few days, send help)

My Turn!

I guess I haven't been posting enough for my husband! Actually, I love having him post and he is more likely to do it when I "forget" to post! I took life into my own hands yesterday and did something I probably shouldn't have done but I did it anyways. I cut Annie's hair. Kensi if you are reading this you might want to stop now and never look at these pictures! Ok, then don't get mad at me. To tell you the truth, I think it turned out pretty cute. And Annie loves it. After I cut Annie's hair Hallie wanted me to cut her hair but I just didn't pull myself to doing it. We will leave that one to the pro's.

We also have been experiencing Fall up here in the land of all 4 seasons. It still is weird to me to see the leaves on the trees change colors. I am used to them just falling off about the beginning of December and still having a tint of green to them. Hallie absolutely loves the leaves and plays in them every time we go outside. Annie just follows and loves to mess up the piles that Hallie forms.
This picture is of Hallie at her soccer game. She kept pulling at her ear and we later found out she had a major ear infection. Poor girl. She really has a good tolerance of pain.

It seems my wife refuses to post anymore

But never fear, I am here to post and keep you all up to date on the goings on here. Due to popular demand, I will post pictures of my sweet bike on the next go round. I love it. I just have not had time to get any photo ops with it. It was raining all day Saturday when I had planned to do it. Anydangway, on with the madness...

Three Things...

Jef and Julie Huntington started this funny idea and we are now going to copy it for our family. Here is a list of three funny/strange things about each individual in our family unit.

Annie: 1- She has torn the thread lining off her blanket until there is only a small patch of it left. When you give her the blanket she will hold her hands up and say "where'd go?" then she rotates the blanket in her hands until she finds the patch. She sucks her thumb while holding this small patch in her hand and up to her cheek.

2- She takes after her Dad in the Gas department. Almost anytime she bends over she lets one fly and will usually laugh about it.

3- Annie has never been a quiet child and loves to let everyone know that she is around. Her signature move is in the morning she screams out "Ma or Da" until we go and get her and then when you pick her up she tells you "Da... Da shhh Ha-yee seep" She will usually then demand "sir" until you share a bowl of cereal with her... not her own bowl mind you, no, it has to be yours.

Hallie:
1- She strips down to her underwear, and then says she is either a kitty or a doggy. We don't know why.

2-Hallie hates to get wet. Even if a drop of water gets on her shirt or pants, she kind of panics and then she will go change into new clothes. We usually go through 3 or 4 outfits a day with her. Along the same line, she hates anything itchy on her. She refuses to wear most of her clothes because somewhere on them they have something itchy (tags, seams, lint, etc.)

3- She loves to have classical music playing anytime we are in the car. Recently she has started to sing with the music. Her favorite being "The Hallelujah Chorus." She nails the first note then warbles and strains through the rest of the song. It quite sounds like a frog/cat mix. But we love that she tries and knows all the words.

Bree:
1- Instead of verbal directions while driving such as "turn left up here" Bree gives quiet, out of sight hand signals. And they are usually about 4 feet before the actual turn. It's adorable.

2- Bree can't handle having her toes touch each other. If you smash them together, she gets upset and then spreads them back out... sighing in relief.

3-She loves to ask for things in the phrase "Do you want to..." Such favorites include: "Do you want to rub my back? Do you want ice cream? Do you want chocolate?" But my personal all time favorite is "Do you want to call (insert ANY name)?" It is a sad fact that Bree is near incapable of making phone calls on her own. We have developed a pass off system that allows me to make the call, and her to actually say what she wants to have said. All those years interpreting really pay off in moments like that.

Tyler:
1- Tyler has a great habit of picking his nose when he is nervous. You can always tell when Tyler has something on his mind cause he starts pacing the room and picking his nose.

2- He has to have all of his shirts facing one direction in the closet.

3- He is the King of memorizing songs and things that everyone should. He plays this game with me in the car that I have to guess the band of the song playing. It usually ends up with him telling me the band, but on the occasional time that I get it right he is very proud and tries to get me to guess the next.

4- I had a hard time coming up with strange things that Tyler does because he is a rather non quirky individual, unless you catch him on an off moment!
