ITS MAGIC !....
ok....so it's not magic really but here's the challenge. How to make a rainy, grey, overcast sky turn blue? Simple, just photograph the reflection of it in the hood of a blue car....

RAINY NIGHT...
Cold and damp the other night perhaps that's what put me in an abstract mood. Anyway I really liked the way the raindrops were running down the windscreen of this car, that plus the streetlights together with the cars interior lights just worked for me...

RAIN DROPS..
I took this picture a few days ago, as you can see it was raining. As you may know I never let a little inclement weather stop me taking a photograph. I shot it from inside the car through the window, you may have already noticed the clue....

RAINY DAYS..
Ah, the English summer you can't beat it. I took this picture last Friday, it rained all day and it looks like it will do much the same today. Still the forecast for tomorrow is much better...when we are all back at work of course..

A SOFT DAY...
...as they say in Eire. I thought I'd go a little abstract today. There was a real downpour of rain on Wednesday, it didn't last very long but it was torrential while it lasted. In case you are wondering about the photograph...it show the rain running of a shop awning with the downpour all around. Hopefully by the time you read this the sun will be on it's way for the weekend..

SOLITARY...
You may have seen the post I did the other day about all that rain that fell on Thursday. Well just before it started there was a sign, this solitary raindrop appeared on the gallery window. As I'm always saying the picture may not be to everyones taste but I like it...

RAIN, RAIN AND THEN...
...it rained. That just about describes Wanstead yesterday, I think it may have beeen my fault because I keep mentioning the summer. Anyway the forecast for today is better, let's keep our fingers crossed. As you may well know I don't let rain stop me clicking away taking pictures and I quite like this one I took yesterday evening...

HIDDEN PEARLS..
The weather yesterday wasn't as bad as the forecast predicted. There was some light rain early in the morning which gave me the opportunity to grab this close up of a rose leaf. It was hidden under a larger leaf but the rain somehow managed to get to it, I really like the way the droplets have formed on the lower edge of it...

RAINY NIGHTS....
What happened on Saturday evening, where did all that rain suddenly come from! It started just as I was leaving the gallery and by the time I got to the car it was torrential, very much like a tropical rain storm. Thankfully it didn't last too long. Not that I'm complaining it did make this interesting photograph that I took through the car windscreen.

REAR WINDOW...
Yes I know it's the title of a famous film by former, almost, local boy Alfred Hitchcock. It just sprang into mind yesterday as I stared out of the kitchen widow at the garden watching the rain run down the glass. Well I expect I shouldn't be surprised as it's Autumn, I did however cook a really nice 'Sunday' lunch even though it was Monday which made up for the weather.

DRIP, DRIP...
A young lady on the television last night was giving the weather forecast for today, she also mentioned briefly Thursday's weather saying how it had not been too bad a day. She obviously had not been in Wanstead where umbrellas were de rigueur. I stood outside the Gallery for a short time during the day with my camera and managed to catch this raindrop as it fell from our canopy. I also considered turning the central heating back on, I'm expecting a heat wave in December...

AND MORE RAIN...
I was in my car in Sherwood Avenue last Friday night and boy was it raining. I pulled over to take this picture of the street lights glowing through the rain pouring down the windscreen. I thought there was a painterly quality to it. Always on the lookout for a picture.

FIRST DAYS OF SUMMER...
Ah the first days of summer ! You may have noticed that it rained yesterday. Wanstonians however, were not defeated, there was a great display of umbrellas in the High Street. Hopefully sunshine today.

A CHANGE FROM SNOW..
I was sitting in the car last week with the rain beating down. I noticed the effect the approaching car headlights were making on the windscreen. With the raindrops in focus it looked like a good picture possibility to me. So here it is.

RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY CAR
You could be excused for thinking this was taken by the Lunar Rover but it is just early morning rain on the roof of my car.
