i've worked for 2 days at Novotel Hotel as a wedding banquet waitress. today's my 2nd and last day. =) first day's experience was demoralising but second day of experience was sweet. first day i was attached to 2 senior waitresses, they're not old but they're more experienced. and i got bullied *cry* i was only supposed to serve drinks since i'm new but one of them told me to serve some dishes. she was so impatient. then after the whole dinner the 2 of them scooted off, leaving me to clear the dirty plates and bowls. i couldn't even see their shadows man. the plates and bowls were so sticky coz got yam paste, chilli sauce, saliva.... so yeah, they're good man. i don't mind clearing the tables together but alone, yes. this traumatising experience made me want to false sickness today so i don't have to work today =P just like ming xuan and leonard hahaha. "sick" together hor? haha. but i decided to go for work today anyway. and i'm glad i did :D because today i was attached to 2 very nice and sweet guys. haha when one of the customers was being difficult and said the tea wasn't hot enough, one of them came to my rescue immediately with a flask in his hand. it's like really surprising he came to help me so quickly when i thought he's busy serving dishes. so glad! during the dinner chinese tea was lacking as usual like last night and he helped me fill up the flasks when it's supposed to be my job. i was busy serving soft drinks at other tables. after the whole dinner he placed his hand on my back and said," you don't have to clear the dishes; just take away the glasses and cups and leave the rest to us." then he smiled at me. haha so nice can! compared to the 2 ladies yesterday. the other guy also. i helped to serve the yam paste since not enough waitresses. my hands were trembling coz that monstrous bowl of yam paste was VERY heavy. hahahaa when i placed it on the table the customers were looking at me coz my hands were trembling a little too obviously. HAHA! then the guy came over, smiled and said, "let me." whoa so gentlemanly ah! why are they so nice!! sigh. one of the tables i was in charge of was scary. one man asked me, " miss, what's your name? can i have your number?" from then onwards i only checked that table every half an hour haha! or i'll wait when any of the 2 waiters was serving them then i go ask if they want to refill. people on that table like to interact with me in the wrong way. good thing the 2 waiters give me a sense of security. they're sweet. =)

i'm working tmr at Sanobar, a fine dining restaurant. it's new year eve! haha people take leave but i go work. heehee. that place's location is good coz i'll be able to see the magnificent fireworks!! wow.. it's going to be a great working experience. counting down with everyone in the restaurant. ye man! ((= the boss say we can only go home at 3 am but it's ok coz i'll be so high! hahaha (:

i watched I Am Legend today. it's so exciting and thrilling!!! one part was so scary until i covered my eyes and told my sister, "i don't want to watch already" hahaha. really kept me in suspense until i couldn't take it lor. my sister hide until her neck pain hahaha. all in all, it's a good show worth watching. whole new concept =) will smith quite good-looking. got one part very very very touching too. NICE!

went sentosa for christmas =) took sentosa express from sentosa to vivo for the first time. quite fun leh! just that no scenery coz that area still under development. went to ride luge hee. got banged into by a reckless small boy. so pain, but i still love luge xD

I AM SO HIGH NOW!!! coz zong ren added me on friendster!!!! oh my! i can't believe it! actually i'm high not because of him but because i can see a lot of ashton's pictures on his friendster!!!!!!!!!! i was so high when i saw his friendster account last night at 2am i almost hyperventilated. HAHA! jancy, quickly add your beloved chipmunk ya! hahahaha ;)

yesterday was my fifth day of work and also my last day of work. i came home so late last night i was too tired to blog. how should i say... i'm feeling a little nostalgic about going to the badminton hall very early in the morning and judging the badminton players. sad haha. erm well, yesterday morning and afternoon was quarter finals, night was semi-finals, and finally today was finals =) but i didn't go to work today because of dance photoshoot. man! all of us regretted a little not going for the finals. hmm so ya i was judging up till the semi-finals last night. the matches get increasingly exciting of course, because all the not so good ones are eliminated leaving only the very good ones. so there's often the need for rubber matches. rubber matches are extremely long. so yeah, the very coincidental thing is that him and ashton actually were put together in the semi-finals yesterday night! how can they!! haha coz ashton is so good! everybody was like 99.9% sure ashton will win. i was put in such a difficult position because i didn't know who i truly want to be the winner. i chose ashton la because he represents singapore after all. in the end ashton did win the semi-finals. i felt a little sad haha =S nevertheless i'm still his number one fan :) haha and i took photo with him again! and his partner zhong ren! hahaha. he must be wondering why everyday this line judge want to take photo with him =P this time it's just me :) i'm proud of him!

AND the thing is, HE IS RONALD SUSILO'S DISCIPLE!!!! omg... no wonder he is so good. i was really really lucky to judge ashton's quarter finals singles match again. and ronald susilo was sitting right behind me to guide ashton during the match. and i overheard him saying.. "you need lightning speed to kill! har you can do it!" haha! cool :) before that i saw ronald susilo sitting in front of me when i wasn't on duty and i grabbed the chance to take a photo with him. haha i nvr knew i would meet so many stars when i accepted this wonderful job. he's much more good-looking in person. haha not photogenic ;) yup ashton won the quarter finals that's why he competed with him.

oh ya! so today right after dance photoshoot in the evening we rushed to the badminton hall to take a photo with ashton again! but, the finals was over and he's gone! haha we took cab somemore to rush there. nvm la. next time!
kelwin, mingxuan and gabriel was on duty today and they said today had a lot of rubber matches. it's pretty much expected since all the badminton players in the finals are pros. a pity couldn't watch! somehow i feel i've achieved something because all the players today have gone through rounds of competition and i've played an important part in the selections for the finals. coz line judges have the power to decide who emerges victorious. stressful but great job! ashton knows me now! haha happy like siao! :)))))))))
finally, today everything's over. i don't want it to end. but if something has a beginning, it has an ending. love the badminton players! and all fellow line judges!!! ;)

4th day of work!!

today's the most exciting day i've ever had. i had the honour of judging singapore's VERY famous badminton player Ashton. if you don't know him it's ok because he's very famous in the badminton arena, but not some singapore star. haha if i didn't see him play i wouldn't have known him too. he's REALLY GOOD. i almost gasped or clapped many times during the match but i couldn't. must maintain professional image, as they said, hahaha. he's REALLY GOOD. i mean, i say how many times also no use coz you have to be there to witness his incredible skills! whoa my seat there is priceless coz the view is so good! whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. i'm lucky =) btw he's playing boys singles haha. vs indonesia. both are super good, and HE WON!!! for singapore! he's really good la. his tactics and strength control is whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. hahaha! he's my idol ok. i'm his number one fan!! their scores were 21 ALL, then 23 ALL. at this moment everyone was so excited and i almost died of heart attack. then, ashton smacked the shuttlecock at lightning speed and it's 24, 23! badminton competition requires 2 points difference so here goes. my heart almost jumped out! if the indonesian wins it'll be 24 all and the match would seem almost nvr ending. BUT, ASHTON was great. he smacked the shuttlecock again, and BAM! HE WON!!!!!! 25 to 23. i couldn't believe it. he is so great and he really did singapore proud. oh man... when he won i was smiling with awe. not supposed to but the match is over anw! sigh, he is really my idol. if you see him play you'll agree with me too. the way he catches his opponent's shuttlecock when it ALMOST landed on the floor is whoohoo!! like one mm difference he also can make it fly towards the next court again! and the thing is, he never loses his cool. very calm and the strength to hit was just right. there's once when he fell and he did a side split! HAHA! and he laughed. the match was really exciting lah.

ahaha ok now i'll talk about boys doubles. after he played solo in the afternoon, he shone once again at night. 9 to 10 plus pm. his was the longest match ever. there are a total of 6 badminton courts in the Singapore Badminton Hall and all 5 was already empty by that time except his. coz both pairs were good and there was a need for rubber match. his partner is zhong ren, from singapore sports school. both true singaporeans :) AND THEY WON!!! once again, against indonesia! their mo qi is WOW! man, it's the nicest match i've ever watched. this time i wasn't the one judging; i was the audience haha. i was supposed to knock off anyway (: the indonesian pair's mo qi also good. but of course singapore's pair is better! haha! i'm so proud of them ok :) i cheered and screamed so loudly until some people look at me. HAHAHA my friends all say they dunno me. but i don't care coz i'm ashton's and zhong ren's NUMBER ONE fAN!!! their partner work cooperation and coordination was appraisable. my idols :) i've never regretted working as a badminton line judge. awww. show you a pic!

3rd day of work =)
i worked 3 shifts instead of 2 shifts today coz i took over junhong =) cuishan took over gabriel. haha they're tired i guess. so in the end i worked from 8.30am to 10.30pm. in mid-afternoon my eyes were already dry like dunno what coz i can't blink when i'm working at the badminton courts. hahaha! good thing i brought my eye dropper. today was my first girl and boy doubles!!! exciting and EXTREMELY stressful!! especially when it's BOYS DOUBLES UNDER 19, i will die. they're so strong that the shuttlecock flew like mad i had to really stare at it for my life. that explains the dry eyes haha. then when the shuttlecock lands, all four of them will turn to look at me to see my call. if my call was wrong probably they'll give me black faces. hmm oh yeah! had a boys under 13 singles too. one of the boys was shorter than the net but he's so good! he totally thrashed the other boy. wow man. height is not an issue haha. techniques and tactics matter more. 3 days of working i've learnt abit from them =P i noticed a sure-win tactic is when we smack the shuttlecock hard through and in between our opponent's legs. haha sure win! trust me ;) though one whole day of work was exhausting, i enjoyed today's work as well. :)

we.. saw each other just after i knocked off. :) is it fate? heex. :)

2nd day of work =)
there are 2 more countries today! England and Thailand. i love thai language! =) haha saw that philippines coach again. x) at first my matches were all girls singles.. then my last match was boys singles under 19. around my age. they were both good and can see that they know each other's weak points hence the strategies. but the chinese indonesian was really good :) after the match he said thank you to me. haha! he thought i was helping him but no lah, he is truly good. the shuttlecock flew super fast that his competitor had no time to react.
actually i think girls are fiercer than boys coz.. the girls often dao each other =P everyday of work is tiring. tmr working 2 shifts so i can finally eat the lunch provided!!! hahaha! i've been waiting =P

first day of work =)
i really enjoyed my job today. stressful at first but managed to calm myself down and look accurately. hahah it's especially scary when the players' coaches sit just right behind me to guide their students because they'll also be unhappy if the judgement i make is unfavourable to their students. haha and i just realised today this badminton tournament is an international competition! haha even more stressed. got at least 9 countries like australia, indonesia, philippines, brunei, hong kong, malaysia, sri lanka, taiwan and singapore. the coach from philippines is not bad. haha oh one of the matches i judged today was extremely breathtakingly exciting!! singapore vs philippines. by the way, philippines badminton players are good! haha ok back to it, at first sg to philippines: 15 to 19. then the boy caught up, 19:19. then, 21 ALL. at this crucial point the philippines boy's face went so pale that when he asked for a break, the empire had to give it to him even though 2 more points is sufficient to decide victory. in the end sg won. happy for sg but sad for philippines too. close fight man! in this match, i've seen how the both of them never gave up nor wavered in their belief to win. the fighting spirit in their eyes.. in other matches, the players have really displayed sportsmanship because the losing parties always persevered and there were no sore losers =)

i'm working as a badminton line judge next week. thank you josephine so much for the job!!! today was training. interesting and fun to learn but stressful! then again, which job isn't =) hahaha yee shin and siping are so jealous of me today because of smiles from *** and ***. xP don't hanker after all these though =)

today dance is so shiok because my dance teacher help me massage. =DD he certainly tortured us today.

went to xxx's house after dance today. hahahaha! we had fun! oops =P it's our secret. xP sigh we did so many crazy things. haha love you!

dance today. today was quite slack compared to other days coz peter could tell our bodies are very very tired after prom. coz we slept very late and very little. cuishan slept at 3 plus, josephine and i slept at 5.30am, yeeshin slept at 8.30, xinyi MOST power-9am. hahaha! and she woke up at 10am. whoa really power man. just one hour plus of sleep and she has the courage to dance today. esp when it's peter's lesson =S but good thing he's understanding and didn't torture us today =D i forgot what time jancy sleep le. 6 plus? haha zai! my eyes were already closed when i was drying my hair. anw, i was so surprised when peter told us he was from MI. haha he said there a lot of pai kias and once he saw 2 guys fighting until one of them fell from the 2nd floor. so scary! but he did tell us his playfulness in that school too like throwing plates taking them as frisbees around the canteen. haha! he really reminded me of my MI days because i was also very playful and mischievious then. forever chasing people around hahaha :D and he reminded me today, why i love MI so much. because that's where i had the most fun! with playful friends =) a little nostalgic. now the days are long gone, but i'm glad they were once part of my life.

coming back, peter broke cracked our backs today! the sound from cuishan's back was terrifying. hahaha. now my neck feels weird. next lesson's going to be tormenting =)))) i can't wait to learn salsa! can we learn in a cc? heex(:

I admire my mother for her inner strength. where did it come from? it's within her i guess. initially she broke down many times and her mind kept revolving around the same thing that made my sister and i frustrated. but now, she has sort it out, and i totally admire her. if i were her, i really dunno what i would have done. putting myself in her shoes, now i understand her feelings both initially and now. i give her my full support. and she appreciates it alot. =) i appreciate my mum too. ALOT. i'm making myself cry. haha. this whole thing is totally revolting and almost made me psychological unstable because i have no one to confide in. too personal. i would love to share, but i can't. i wanted to talk to jo because i think she'd be able to understand better but no chance. after looking at it, he thought i was going to cry but i was just looking serious. my mother's right; we're numb to it already. i want to forgive, but the hurt is too deep. ten years later i may, still i will never forget. i learnt, not to trust anyone so easily. so i won't get hurt.
