Four Seasons

This was REALLY challenging as I wasn’t sure how to incorporate all four seasons in one card. I thought about cheating and pretending I lived in southern Texas or Florida where just about all their seasons are sunny and warm. :o) Then I remembered this set from My Favorite Things and breathed a bit easier. Still had to futz quite a bit and the first take on the card was trashed. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).
Sketch Inspiration ~Sweet Sunday Sketch 24 I used a square instead of a circle for my image, but otherwise stayed true to the sketch.

MFT Missing You

I tried it. Ribbon pleating. I’ve seen it pop up on lots of cards and have been hesitant to try it out. It wasn’t TOO painful and I only had to pull it out once to start again. I think I’ll get better with practice. I’ve been bouncing around the 365 Cards sentiment challenge for a week now. I’m determined to meet the daily challenges in May and didn’t want this one to sink me. Once I started going through my stamps, I thought this would be perfect. The ribbon creates a nice ‘barrier’. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

365 Cards Sketch MFT Peeps

I just got this stamp set in the mail and was SO happy (it had been back ordered). I work at an egg product manufacturing facility so there is never a shortage of chicken humor. I make lots of egg/chick related cards for co-workers. I knew this set from My Favorite Things would be quickly inked. I used the sketch on 365 Cards for inspiration. I paper pieced her outfit and popped up the chick for a bit of dimension. I also added a bit of Fun Flock to them for ‘fuzziness’.

After I edited this picture I realized I needed to do a bit ‘de-flocking’. It looks like my chicks are molting all over her hand and dress!
