Post Shark Week Mail Art Monday

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday to kick off your week.  Today is one of my favorite days... Mail Art Monday!!!

Today I want to share an A2 sized envelope.  With it being beach season I wanted to do something that made me think of the ocean.  Plus, with shark week having just passed, I knew this would be too fun!

Stamps Used:

I started by stamping my main images in memento black ink.
(Remember to leave room for your postage stamp and address)

Next I colored all my base images with various markers, then add my base distress ink layer for the background.
(Tumbled glass and weathered wood)

To finish everything off I added some visual interest with a Tim Holtz layering stencil, and a shark postage stamp.

Thank you for visiting today! I hope you inspired to create some fun mail art too!!

Mermaid Dreamer Mail Art

Hello Everyone!!!

It's me Tera, here with a surprise guest post...

(I'm taking a little time off from my design teams for a bit to re-spark my creativity)

Once again, I want to share some super fun Mail Art envelope using some of the new releases.  For this, I was inspired by this months challenge "Summer"

(Warning Photo Heavy)

Stamps Used:
Plate 1495
(you know you are going to want them all of you are anything like me!)
Row of Scribble Circles
Typeset Scallop
Row of Numbers
Punchinella/Sequin Waste
The Moon
Fancy Mermaid
She was a Dreamer

Start by stamping out your mermaid on the envelope (A2) and on scrap paper for your mask.

Next, Using Momento ink "London Fog" I stamped the moon over the masked mermaid.

Using Memento Black ink I added my base for the mermaid to rest on.

To build the background I stamped the x's as my stars, and inked with Distress Oxide ink "Broken China"

Now to add some contrast, I sponged on 2 of the green inks from my kaleidacolor inks.

Time for the reveal... I love seeing things come together after the mask is removed.
I also forgot to take a picture before I stamped my 2 pieces in Distress ink "Blueprint sketch" to help frame everything.  I also added a but more color around the edges.

I also added the numbers along the right side in black Momento ink.

Here you can see where I have started the base colors on my mermaid...
I also stamped my sentiment "she was a dreamer" and outlined it with white gel pen to help it pop off of the page.

(The left if the finished mermaid. You can see some of the added glitter details from the Wink of Stella pen.  On the right side you can see more of the color building.)

Well, there you have it! I love how this envelope came together. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!!

Fortune Favors the Bold ... Mail Art Monday!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back for another

Mail Art Monday!!

Today I want to share an envelope I created for one of my brothers.  Here in Ohio people are starting to get ready for deer hunting season.
I love the woodsy vibe of this one.  I wish the gold shimmer I added would show up in the pictures!
(they are the light colored blobs)

Boys Just wanna have fun! Mail Art Monday

Hello Again!

Yep, it's Monday again! Where did the weekend go?
Well, at least it looks like the 2 boys in this weeks mail art Monday are having some fun!!!

What's on the other side of the fence I wonder!? Is it a scary dog? A crazy neighbor? Or maybe a pool party.... We may never know!! Haha

So for this piece I wanted something fun and simple like the summers of my past. I started by stamping the quote then I masked it off and drew the box around the mask. I also masked off the address block and drew around it.

Next I stamped what I'm calling the mischievous boys... Lol

Pretty simple right? I thought so! Now color away and its ready to be mailed out!!!

I hope you enjoy this fun pair as much as I do!  They just make me giggle!
Well enjoy your daily grind and remember to enjoy some mischief now and again!
