I'm late, I'm late....

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my inspiration post today !

I have made an Art Journal spread and I have gone for an Alice in Wonderland theme. I love Alice in Wonderland. Strange really if you know that I only started to read the books as an adult. I got really interested when I started crafting as the characters are great for cards, tags, journals... you name it.

This spread was made in my homemade gel printed book. I learned making this in a workshop with Birgit Koopsen. You make lots of gel printed pages and then glue them together to make a book.
There is a video from Birgit to show the process HERE

I started with heat embossing the Dandilion here and there on the pages. I used fine detail white embossing powder by WOW. Next I stamped the background with similar colours of Archival inks as the background and with grey and black for contrast. Next I added some washi tape and stamped the rabbit and the sentiment.

The rabbit was coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I rest amped him onto my page and was then able to cut off small details like the watch chain. I then adhered the coloured one over the top. I also added some shading under him.

The stamped sentiment was cut into smaller pieces and adhered to the page. A little doodling with a white pen finished the whole thing off.

I used the following stamps:

Wanderlust Canvas

Hello everyone. Shanna here and I am sharing my newest altered piece.

I have played with my gelli prints in a long time and I thought it would be fun.

I altered the canvas by gluing a piece of gelli printed paper to the top. Then I layered lots of ephemera pieces. Then I used the stamp Wanderlust on the bottom piece of ephemera.

I then used the Deathhead Moth on a piece of tea stained canvas and then mounted it to the canvas with some brass brads.

Everything got a coat of Raw Umber glaze before I added the moth to give everything a great cohesive look.

I hope you enjoyed my canvas. Thank you for stopping by today.

Nevertheless

Hello you all! Shanna here and I have a tutorial for you it was suppose to be video but my webcam stopped working and apparently all my memory is being used up and I need to buy more storage!

So I did some photos of my art journal spread for you!

Here is what my spread looks like finished.

I love gelli printing and gluing the pages together to make mini art journals.  I used bubble wrap and the stamp Torn Paper stamp during the gelli printing stage.

I gathered my supplies and then stamped the lady on this art journal page.

I colored some chipboard pieces with black gesso before I added them.

I added the sentiment Nevertheless then glued the chipboard pieces on.

I colored the chipboard pieces with some Metallique Wax.

Added some scribble around the sentiment and called this page done.

I love this stamp. She has this look about her and makes you want to look at her and think and explore your mind.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
