Tag Tuesday by Cathy N

Good morning, Cathy here with a tag Tuesday for you.

I started out with some white tags, and I made 2 backgrounds. I used distress ink to make them. I really don't like these tags because they have a smoothness to them that doesn't like to take ink.

This is not what I had in mind when I started making this tag. I happen to get my grab bag when they had a sale on them today, so of course I had to play with my new stamps.

I started stamping the Apocalypse and the Bullet Hole randomly around the tag. Next, I stamped the Gas Mask on some white cardstock and colored it with copic markers and cut out.

I then saw this embossed brick paper that I had left over from another card I had made and thought that would be perfect for an apocalypse tag Tuesday. So, I cut it down, so it looked broken and then added the Gas Mask to the front of it.
Lastly, I edged it all with some black ink.

What the Buck? | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest design team project with you. Today I have an 8.5x11" mixed media scrapbook layout that features some photos of my daughter riding a mechanical bull that I paired with a super cool bucking horse stamp.

To create my layout, I started by making a watercolour style background using Distress Oxides (Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon).
I then added some stamping to my page using the Cross Marks Background and Bullet Hole stamps and black StazOn ink. I also added some small pieces of torn chevron print washi tape.

Next, I added some book paper and blue tissue paper to form a mat for my photos, before adding them on top. Alongside my photos I added a handmade felt and hessian chevron from Charms Creations.

For the feature embellishment on my page I chose the fabulous Cowboy on Bucking Horse stamp; which I stamped onto cardstock, coloured using alcohol markers and then cut out. I added some foam tape behind it to help pop it up from the background.

I then stamped the You Only Live Once quote several times across my page; added some wood veneer stars; my journalling; and finally my title, using a mix of Cocoa Vanilla Studio alphas and American Crafts Thickers.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by so I could share this with you. I hope I have inspired you to get inky too!

Did you wonder if you were going to get a DOUBLE dose of Sue?? because YOU ARE! and in fact.. you'll be getting a TRIIIIPLE DOSE! Today we have a 2nd project from the fabulous Sue Plumb! You can view more about her in the first post HERE.

Sue has put together a really incredible art journal spread for us!

"This is art journal page I created featuring a photo of me with VLVS design member Fiona Paltridge that was taken at a recent retreat.

I started by laying down my bright background colour before adding the stamping directly onto the page.

I wanted to created a page where I could feature some of the fabulous Mary Vogel Lozinak whimsical "freak" stamps from plate #1383; so I created this to represent a shooting gallery, with myself and Fiona as the main targets.
