Pen Holder with Tina Walker Ladies ► Majo

 Hello Friends,

it’s time for another AMF Project:

*
ART MEETS FUNCTION*

I created a penholder with 3 sides this time using the fabulous images from Tina Walker.

I inked the panels with different colors of Pink and added some texture with a stencil. After stamping the ladies, I bleached their faces and added more ink to the “hair” and their lips.

I stamped different images and added them to the panel. Distressing the edges finished my creation. I will fill it up with sweets to give to a friend to use it as a pen holder or the storage of beauty pencils.

Some close ups ....

I used the following stamps:

The ladies from plate 1523

Sentiments:

This was not my dream

Why fit in ......

Inhale the future .....

Have a wonderful Sunday, stay safe and find time to craft.

Luv ya ♥

Home Decor / Letterbox ► Majo

Hi my crafty friends.

Today it's my turn to show you a little something I created with the new Halloween stamps.

I bought this letterbox for the new kitchen, and it was a) too white and b) I didn't like the word "LETTERS".

I decided to use the cute monsters from the new stamp set, which had just been released in August, to pimp it up.

I tend to re-decorate a lot around the house, so it's not a surprise I created the panel in three different colours.

I applied Distress Ink, stamped all my images side by side and darkened the edges a bit. A little bleaching highlighted my monsters :)

I used non-permanent adhesive, so I can easily swap the panels in the future.

Here are the stamps I used:

10874  (One of my favs!)

These new stamps are so much fun, hop on over and check out the other lovely images and sentiments on this new plate!

Happy Crafting ♥

Tiny Little houses

Hi everyone!

It's Majo here today and I'd like to share my newest home decor with you. I was so inspired by the tiny houses from the Tim Holtz collection with Sizzix, that I just had to have them on my candle tray. I love this neutral look for my home decor.

I cut the shapes from cream cardstock, added some old book paper with Gel Medium and covered everything with gesso.

In my next step I used different stamps to create my background together with Archival Ink Shadow Grey, Pale Ochre and Versafine Toffee.

After I adhered the sentiments and the Paper dolls with pop dots,  I used strips of my Miracle Tape tape to build the houses together.

I stamped and heat embossed the roof with very chunky embossing powder, I had to add powder several times, before it had the texture I desired.

I made flaps from Washi Tape to adhere the roofs to the base. Thanks to my lovely teammate Tera for the recommendation!

I have a tray with glasses for candles, which I have redecorated many times over, i.e. Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc, now it's a more general theme I can use for a while regardless of any occasion.

As you can see, I left the backside undecorated, this way I can come up with some other embellishments if I get tired of the dolls. It also shows you that sometimes I don't look at my image before stamping and turn it upside down 😏

Have a closer look:

Altered Paper Houses by Susanne

Hi my dear crafty friends.

I'm sharing two altered paper houses today. I cut the pieces with my Silhouette Cameo from Kraft cardstock.

Here are the step by step instructions:

Add some pieces of old book paper before you cover every piece with gesso. Use acrylic paint together with a baby wipe to add some color. I used DecoArt Fluid Acrylics.

Add some details with different stamps and waterproof ink. I used Archival Ink Jet Black.

Use Crackle Paste with a stencil to add some texture.

After the paste is dry, cover the texture with DecoArt Antiquing Cream Carbon Black. Let it dry and wipe it away with wet baby wipes. Wipe away the color just in one direction to get a deep shadow on one side of the stenciled image.

I added the Pair of Butterfly Wings, stamped on tissue paper, onto the roofs. And some dimensional Flowers and sentiments to the front of the houses.

The flowers are from the Sizzix Susan's Garden Collection and colored with PanPastels. I glued the pieces together with Miracle Tape.

Thank you for stopping by today!
xx Susanne.

Pumpkin Flavored Inspiration.

Hello, Mary here, with a bit of inspiration for this month's challenge.  If you haven't seen the inspiration board, hop on over and CHECK IT OUT!

It seems the whole word goes pumpkin crazy this time of year---and I'm no exception!  I've been jonesin' for pumpkin flavored treats of all kinds.  Well, today, I bring you a little something sweet and pumpkin that won't add to your waistline...

The challenge this month has inspired a new tradition for me.  With the creation of this pumpkin, I now want to grow a nice handmade pumpkin patch of my own to spruce up my fall home decor.

I began by cutting out circles in three sizes from a lovely, smooth cotton fabric.  I then stamped stars onto the circles with the Field Of Stars and the Stars images.

I then stitched them to a length of cream colored corduroy with some messy machine stitching with black thread.  I simply sewed the side of the fabric together to make a tube, and gathered each end with a running stitch and stuffed it with filling to create my basic pumpkin shape.

I added a few lengths of May Arts twine to give it a more pumpkin-like shape, and embellished with buttons, beads and sequins along with adding a few leaves and an old spool for a stem.

All in all, I'm in love with my new pumpkin!  And I think with words like---fall oranges, cream, pumpkin orange, black, heritage, home, polka dots, Harvest, farm and pumpkin patch, you can say I was completely inspired by this month's challenge.

Now, go grab your favorite VLVS! rubber, and get your craft on!!

xx Mary

A dose of Tina Walker!

Hi...

Tina Walker here today with my second Guest Designer project for VivaLasVegaStamps!

Today's project shows you how you can create simple, yet beautiful Home Decor using your VLVS stamps.

To create this project, pull out your favorite VLVS stamps.

I will be using the following stamps:

Design Crosses
 Map Background
Bubble Background
Cancelled
Open Sign
Tangle

Stamp in blocks on sheets of vellum, using coordinating ink colors.

Make flower:  Cut vellum into randomly sized squares, approx 3 in x 3 in.

Stack squares on top of each each, alternating them so they do not line up.  Trim around the edge with a rolling cut.

Add a brad to the center of the squares and lift each layer, 'scrunching' for texture and lift.

Stamp another sheet of vellum, cut to size to fit your frame, and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Stamp used:
Crackle Background

Adhere paper flower, jewel embellishment, and sentiment.

Hang and enjoy!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!  I'll be back again in November with a couple more Guest Designer project.  Be sure and stop back!
