Magical Stamping with Versamark Ink

Are you having a great day? I know I am. I am excited it is my turn to share with you some stamp inspiration. Are you ready to have some fun?

So first off I started with my card base using some Distress Inks.

Once that dried I sprinkled water on to create the ink to create the inky effect.

Then I gave it a good rub over with the anti static pouch.

Then I used some versamark to ink the stamp.

I then gently brushed some magical powder over the stamp.

Now you can stop there and keep going or you can spritz the ink with water and set the magical alive.

I grabbed some chipboard pieces that had gesso on them and rubbed again with the anti static pouch.

I then used the versamark ink again to stamp my sentiments into the speech bubbles, covered them with some WOW embossing powder and gave them a good head set.

Here are some close ups of the cards.

I'm Not Insane

Hey everyone. Shanna here to share a new art journal piece I created to share with you!

Can you believe I had not done the VERY FIRST page in my art journal??? Yeah I know right!!!
Well I decided to make it fun and exciting and really kick my journal off.

First I started with the background. I put down some of the new 2015 Distress Paints, spritzed it with water, smeared the colors around, and then heat set it. After that I used another Distress Paint with a stencil to create the swirl.  Then I watered down a little gesso to create the splatter in the background.

I then used some Staz-On Jet Black ink to stamp the Lid Lady #997 and cut her out. The colored parts I used Distress Ink like a watercolor to color the image.

I wanted more in the background so I used the stamp Stitching #19575 to add more texture to the page and I grabbed another stencil using a PITT Pen to draw around the shape.

Then lastly I used the stamps I'm Not Insane #18514 to emboss with white powder on black paper, cutting it up and gluing it down. I thought the embossing added some good texture and gloss to the project.

Altered Book Box

Hello to you all here in blogland!!! I am so excited for this week because we are teaming up with Art Anthology to bring you tons of inspirational creations.

So you don't miss out make sure you check out these links:

For Viva Las VegaStamps
I was thrilled that we got to do a swap with Art Anthology and even better I got to work with one of my favorite colors on top of some other colors I magically have in my dash of inky goodness. I decided to dig in my bin of things to be altered. Do you have one of those or am I the only one??

So first I gave the paper ache book box a coat of gesso. Then I used the stamp Dictionary Page - 19015 to stamp all over some tissue paper.

Then I covered the front of the book box with the paper using a matte gel medium. I added the medium to the book box itself though not the tissue paper. I then decided to use the stamp Butterfly Specimens - 19415 on the front as well in random spots. After that I wanted to hurry up and add some color. Just in case I covered the front with some clear gesso and after that dried I went to town adding some Colorations Spray - Waimea Bay all overground the edges. Then I sprayed my mat and used the bottle of the bottle to add some color rings (aka you can use the Double Coffee Rings - 19568 or Coffee Ring Stain - 19230 as well).

Here you can see some close ups of stamping and splatter.

The chipboard I painted with gesso and covered with some Colorations Spray Mocha and brushed certain parts with the Velvet Paint Kona. I just loved playing with Art Anthology along with my VLVS. Keep coming back for more inspiration!

Feed Your Soul

Hello everyone and welcome to a new and awesome day for inspiration.
Shanna here with a new art journal spread to share and it was extremely fun to create as I was testing some colors out to see if I would like them.

I started out with the stamp Writing Circles Background - 19567 stamped it across my spread using the Mustard Seed Distress Paint, and with Cracked Pistachio Distress Paint I used the stamp Writing Triangles - 19571

I then splashed some Abandoned Coral Distress Stain on my craft mat, spritzed the puddle with water, and smoothed my pages in the puddles. I also did the same thing using some Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I really love the color scheme of this spread.

Then I started stamping the rest of my images with some black ink. I started with the Banksy Girl Watering TV Antennae - 19603, then stamped the Three Staples 19576 in a couple places, the

I stamped the Double Coffee Rings - 19568 on the opposite side of the journal to help create a little bit of a balance. I stamped my sentiment Feed Your Soul - 18926 on some white paper and cut it up to add it to the journal page using a gel medium.

I used my Big Brush pen to shadow the sentiment well make it pop and be bolder.

Thank you so much for stopping by don't forget to keep coming back for more inspiration from the team!
