Feather Card by Cathy

Hello, my name is Cathy Norton and I'm one of the new Design Team members. I'm so happy to be here. To start off my first post I have a card for you all.

I stared out with a tag and some purple Distress ink. I did the smooching technique with the ink and a glass mat.

After I got the tag where I liked the color, I then die cut 3 feathers from it.

I then stamped grunge 1787 writing background on the feathers. For the card background I did the say smooching technique but with gray Distress ink.  I stamped the waybill with black soot Distress ink on the background and inked the edges of the card panel.

Lastly, I glued 2 feathers down and I tied a bow on the 3rd one and added foam tape and placed it in the middle.

                                                                 Stamped Used:
                                                  17545: grunge 1787 writing background
                                                  19416: waybill/invoice background

Warning: Dates in calendar are closer than they appear!!!!!

Jingle Bells.. Jingle Bells....
It is DECEMBER...
Holy Snapping Ducks it's almost Christmas...
Time to Head to the shops...
Can you guess what the theme is for this Art Journal page......
Started off with smoshing Distress Oxide Inks (Peeled Paint and Peacock Feathers) activated with Water onto my page.....
Next I added the Invoice Waybill stamp and Row of numbers (yep going with the spending money theme) with Ground Espresso oxide ink.
WHOOOPS>>.. I forgot to take a photo of the next step...
I stamped the Shopping Trolleys with Stazon onto some white cardstock.
Heat embossed Lindy's Angel Wings Embossing powder on top to give it a shimmer..
cut it the trolleys out....
added some Stenciling with Paynes Grey acrylic pant and a Kinder Kreations stencil to the background and some Heidi Swapp Acrylic Letters
I then stamped the Sentiment onto an index card because I wanted the lines representing the list and checking it twice......

And we have the finished Piece..
Really really simple.. but YES..
FUCK Christmas is getting closer by the second..

Altered Canvas by Shanna

Hey everyone. Shanna here today to share with you a fun creation.
I have been wanting to play with this resins I got and had no clue what to do with them. Well I figured that out really quick! What do you think?

I did create a video so check it out.

I loved using my stamps to create the background of this piece.

I added some glass beads and glass glitter with a matte gel on some of the corners.

Of course there is no glass on this but I thought the sentiment stamp Through The Looking Glass - 19353 was fitting.

The stamp Pair of Butterfly Wings - 19647 went perfectly off the side of the frame too.
