Three months in one post
Saturday, March 12, 2011 11:17 AM
Been three months since I blogged.
Yeah, coz of my laziness.
I am so not motivated to study, what's more when it comes to blogging. Hehe.
Past three months, nothing significant to mention.
As usual, fly, sleep, eat, go classes.
Rostering been good, at least a long flight a month, sometimes two.
Mai Hiam~
During CNY, I was rostered for Munich-Manchester.
Didn't wanna spend the CNY alone, so asked my hubby along.
Had a great time, was very very cold.
I did prepared well, especially so when my beebee can't tolerate coldness much.
Went to BMW museum, World War two concentration camp and shopping~
I realised that there is nothing much you can do during winter, lots of tours were not available.
Unless you wanna go skiiing.
Didn't intend to buy anything but ended up buying a Prada bag for me, Gucci bag n Ferragamo shoes for Beebee.
It's worth it. At least that is what I keep telling myself. Hahaha..
Not forgetting, chocolates~
They have nice and cheap chocolates which are great as souvenirs for friends & relatives.
Very similar to our Ferraro Rocher Chocolates but with more varieties.
Came back to Sg on CNY day three, still have some CNY mood though.
We missed the visiting coz most was done during CNY day one & two.
But we didn't miss out on gambling. Hahaha..
After CNY, is Valentine's day followed by my birthday.
As usual, my birthday is always been quiet.
But something which touched my heart which I think I will never forget.
About three days before my birthday, I arraged to meet up with my ex-colleagues.
We were all DBS tellers. Been through so much together.
Everytime, because of work not everyone can make it for every gathering.
This time round, we did.
I never thought that they even remembered my birthday.
Went to the nearest cafe, bought a little cake for me.
We had our dinner at Sakae Sushi.
After dessert, one of them took out a box and candle. Keke.
I was surprised. :) Thank you girls, Shearlyn, Grace and Sue Sue.
Had sat for two exams in Jan and Feb. I can bearly pass the papers.
One of the module I felt so cheated~ Lecturer kept emphasis on calculation, so I had practiced hard.
End up, only one question is calculation and the rest are all theory based.
I am praying hard that I can pass.
I am now in the mid of my last semester.
Am so happy that everything will end soon.
Hehe.. If I can pass the two papers and the last two coming up, then I can graduate. Keeping my fingers crosses.
Money is a love and hate thing.
I am trying hard to save some money for my new house which will be ready some time in the mid of 2012.
It is so hard trying to save money.
Somemore I am still paying my school fees and other stuff.
When will all these come to an end???
Arg~! SQ give me more long flights pls......

Year 2010 to 2011
Friday, December 31, 2010 2:13 PM
What a way to start a brand new year.
While everyone is counting down for new year, I have to prepare for flight.
Count on my luck, of so many flights, I am roster for JNB flight,
reporting time: 0030hrs.
Let's hope for good pax load and a smooth journey to Johannesburg.
2010 has been a good year for me.
Good roster, long flight every month, sometimes two long flight :)
Completing most of my studies, graduating in April 2011.
Although I don't have fantastic results, am glad that I can graduate :)
After graduation, I wanna get my car license. And I decided to go for CFA program.
After much thoughts, I have decided that I am just flying for five years,
which means another two years for me before leaving the airline.
Beebee been telling me that he feels lonely when I fly.
Thought flying has been fun, good pay, but I am missing my family and friends.
Let's work hard and play hard for next two years before leaving.
My flat will be arriving some time in 2012, so gonna start saving $$ for the new flat.
Beebee been thinking of going back to school. I hope to get him enrol for class by Feb 2011. Zhuzhu, study hard k, I know you can do it~!
Time to go, packing packing..
Happy New Year everyone~

What's that smell? Oh, I think it's blue cheese.
Saturday, October 16, 2010 1:41 AM
Am in Melbourne right now.
In two more hours time I'm gonna start preparing for flight.
Time to go HOME. :)
Well, i changed for this flight de.
Gave away my Manila nite stop and one off day.
I regretted.
It was so chaotic when the first pax board the aircraft.
A toddler shit in his pants and his grandma didn't even bother to clean up.
The smell was super strong that pax around began to complain.
My crew initially thought it was blue cheese. Whahahaa....
Well well, other than the "blue cheese", toddler was crying and screaming too.
And we have to start comforting passengers who start to get annoyed by it.
It was really really chaotic.
I must say my LS handled the situation very well.
Though me and another stewardess have to cover the rest of the duties.
Landed in chilly rainy Melbourne early morning yest.
The moment I board the bus, I straight away knock out. Zzzzz..
I think I drooled. Whahahaha... I'm really tired.
The journey to hotel was draggy, morning jam.
Reached hotel, got my room key, throw my stuff in my room.
Came down for breakfast buffet with some crew.
It was good. Love the pancakes, roasted mushroom.
We chatted for a while before heading back to our room.
Slept till late evening before I pulled myself out of bed.
I needed to get my dinner before shops were all closed.
Oh yeah, I had my fave onion rings from Lord of the Rings.
Super nicey, a bit too salty.
Back to sleep again and woke up about two hours ago.
Had my packed rice.
And time to do some revision, Sunday is my exam.
Let pray really really hard that I have a safe and smooth flight home.
No more blue cheese please. Hehe.

Venie loves to party :D
Saturday, October 9, 2010 3:21 AM
Came back from Milan-Barcelona two days ago.
It was indeed a great flight with a great set of crew.
I didn't go out during my stay in Milan, hoping to save some $$.
Plus, exam is coming~! But I didn't study at all lor.
Been watch all the drama series. So addicted to the crime scene investigation series.
Well, on the way back, I have my classmate n her hubby on flight~!
I didn't even realise that during my stay in Milan they were actually staying in SAME hotel.
Super wasted lor. Could have gone out with them. Keke.
Anyway, instead of going for crew rest period, I was talking to the two of them. keke. I was like a zombie during breakfast service.
Imagine after a rest and u hear a zombie stewardess greeting you good morning. whahahhaa.. Zombie Venie.
I promise when ppl ask me go rest I shall go rest. No more zombie. Hee..
After reaching sg, out if random, we decided to go party the next day.
Lol.
So yesterday, supposed to meet my ex-DBS colleagues for dinner.
Ended up only one could make it. How disappointed~!
After the dinner, I went to meet my crew at Butter.
I texted a few crew I know to join me at Butter.
Although I don't have high expectation, I appreciate ppl who bother to reply even they're not in sg.
Celeste was the only one in town so she straight away say yes! Hehe.
She even brought her friend to join us too. :)
A total of nine of us, met up at Butter at 11plus.
It was a little disappointment when we go in.
It was a Lesbian night. Wrong crowd. Lolx.
Head down to Clarke Quay instead, went in to Le Noir.
Hmm.. good crowd(mostly ang moh) and nice music.
We drink, dance n play. It was really fun.
First time I ever come out like that.
Left early at abt 2am.
Zhubeebee don't like me to club n drink.
He very clever, he came to fetch me.
Came at 2am so I have to leave early.
If I let him wait too long, later he will angry.
Ppl say, "wha.. your hubby very nice leh, you go club he still come fetch you. How envy~!"
Nah..
Still I appreciate his effort.
Love my beebee.
But I still enjoy partying.
Promise won't stay beyond 3am. keke.
So who wanna party with me??

Beautiful Amsterdam
Sunday, September 5, 2010 10:00 PM
Was back from Amsterdam yesterday morning.
Great set of crew, we went for the famous pork ribs at Cafe de Klos.
The following day, some of us visit the Heinekein Brewery.
Paid Euro15 and we get to taste, drink, play, sing and dance. Super worthy and fun!
Not much shopping, only bought the yummy peanut butter and some books. English novels are cheap there. :)
Beebee came to fetch me from the airport.
Beebee says he is gonna make use of the weekends to earn some extra $$.
Well, I am glad that he is working hard but I'll have lesser time spend with him.
Guess I got to start to make full use of my time somewhere else then.
Shall spend more time on my studies, project coming up, follow by exam.
Shall start to go to the gym or go for a jog. I can feel that I'm putting on weight. hehe.
I don't want to be a fatty Venie. :D
Another off day tomorrow, before I head to Perth.

Someone who made a deep impression on me
Sunday, August 29, 2010 11:28 PM
Did a DXB-RUH before my leave from 24-26Aug.
I was super duper glad that I gave away Perth & Colombo turn for it.
Higher allowance plus four-sector all light load. :) Hehehe...
RUH shuttle usually is light load de la, as for DXB, Ramandan period lesser ppl travel there.
It was all sector-easy flight. Don't have to work hard, and I see $$ "chike ching" into my pocket. lol.
Weather was super duper hot hot hot. I stayed indoor most of the time.
Except for reporting for work and a dinner with my set of crew.
Other than the "food ration" I brought it with me, had fufilling Indian food during my stay in DXB.
On the way back to Singapore, I was working with a super rich LS. (very well-know in trading stocks de)
I wasn't aware that he is the one crew been talking abt until I overheard the conversation he had with my FS.
I really give him my ultimate respect.
He is a very senior LS, look like any uncle at a kopitiam.
Very humble, nice and did his fair share of work even though he's super senior.
(Gave me a good check report too. Heee..)
Just don't understand why he wasn't promoted???
He's being very low profile abt his capabilities unless u ask him.
He don't attend any trading courses but read a lot of books and pick up his skills from there. He is so good that he is making a lot more money from stocks and shares than flying as a crew. Reason why he continue flying, he wanna make full use of his time. He even share with us a little abt trading and his experience.
I'm glad that I got the chance to work with him and hope to fly with him again.
I have always want to invest a little in trading stocks and shares but dunno where to start. Now it motivates me to finish my degree course before I pick up trading. :D

My first musical play in LHR
Sunday, August 1, 2010 9:39 PM
Came back from London yesterday.
Great flight coz I have Shandy & Celeste(stby called-up) with me.
First sector, Celeste and me were working in main deck EY, Shandy was in upper deck JCL.
EY was having light load so we enjoyed ourselves, slacking. Hehe..
Meanwhile, it was quite 'happening' in JCL.
A stewardess was bickering with the chief throughout the whole flight.
Shandy and the rest in JCL were all trying to 'siam' away from it. hehe.
Throughout the stay in London, we were all aware abt the matter between them and were talking abt it. lol.
How 38 are the crew, right?
So... it's not only me being 38 hor.
We spent our first day shopping, had famous duck rice, watched a play, Les Miserable.
Our shopping was a bit rush as we need to catch the play at 7.30pm.
So decide to take a taxi, we had a hard time getting one though.
My dear Shandy n Celeste saw one with no pax, and quickly halt it.
Well well well.. it's not a taxi actually. Hehe.. it's just a car which is the same car model as the London Taxi. Whahahaha... The drive was smiling wide wide at them.
How embarassing right?
Hmm.. first time watching play, which I almost fall asleep.
I guess musical play is not a thing for me.
I don't really know how to appreciate it la.
