Trace

This was a cake for one of my favorite kids! He was SUPER specific on what he wanted. This is TOTALLY his design. He was even specific on what kind of cake he wanted. It is red velvet cake with vanilla mousse, raspberries, and ganache filling. The table is chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. The cake is decorated in fondant, and the magician is made from modeling chocolate. Happy birthday bud!

Mary

This cake was for a friend's mom who was turning 82 years old. She was very specific about what she wanted for her mom. The quilt on her lap is patterned after several that she made for her family out of cumber-buns! She owned a formal attire shop. I love to hear the stories that go with each cake and the person it is for. I hope it was a fantastic evening!

This cake is red velvet with a cream cheese mousse filling. It is decorated in fondant and modeling chocolate.

It's a Boy!

So, a photographer I am NOT (I wish I was). This cake was too dark with the black background, so I photo-shopped the background lighter. Unfortunately I'm not that great at that either. At least you can see the bear though. This cake was made to congratulate a new mother. It is a lemon-almond cake with buttercream icing. It is decorated in fondant and the teddy bear is made from modeling chocolate.

Janessa

It was so fun setting up this cake. The wedding party was doing pictures. Everyone looked so nice. While running out to the van to get more cupcakes I saw them doing pictures with a horse pulled carriage, it was beautiful! I hope that it was the perfect day for them.

This cake is 125 chocolate cupcakes with a chocolate cake on top. The cupcakes are decorated in buttercream and the cake is fondant. There is a fondant & gumpaste couple on top. If anyone is interested in a cupcake cake, the stand rents for $25.

Zombie/Halloween/Anniversary Cake???

This cake was SO fun! I think mostly because of the story that goes with it. This lady emailed me saying she needed a cake for her 3rd anniversary. It turns out that they got married on Halloween, in Vegas, with a Phantom of the Opera Masquerade theme. So many ways to go with that!! She decided on a zombie themed wedding style cake.
The zombie couple are made out of modeling chocolate and fondant. and the cats and pumpkins are made from fondant.
They also have 3 cats (the first of which they got on their first anniversary). So we put the 3 cats at the bottom of the cake to signify the 3 years they've been married (and they are in Halloween costumes, of coarse Ü)

Linux Birthday Cake

This is a humorous computer themed cake. It is a birthday cake for a computer guy. He loves Linux and doesn't care for Windows. For those of you not familiar with Linux, Tux is the Linux penguin and their logo.
Tux was made with modeling chocolate and the toilet paper roll and stand are gumpaste. The rest is decorated with fondant. The cake is white and chocolate (so when you slice it you get both in each slice). The frosting is a toffee buttercream.

The bride wanted round cakes, with pillars and figurines.

This is the top tier. The figurines are made out of fondant.

The second and third tiers have black fondant bows with bright pink flowers springing out of them. This second tier is fondant covered with basket-weave on half.

The bottom tier has a quilted look with edible pearls and fondant flowers.

Themed cakes

Here is a cake for all those Star Wars fans out there (or in my case Harrison Ford fans).

This sandcastle cake is all edible with fondant shells, shovel, and umbrella. Graham cracker crumbs add a nice sandy texture. It is perfect for a summer or beach themed party.

What a hoot! This cake was made for twin sisters to incorporate both their likes and favorite things.

Made for a girl who's birthday falls near the Fourth of July, this cake could easily be adapted to any patriotic theme by adding a fun bow on top.
